[I hadn't taken into consideration the 1.5x of the str mod but it was late and I didn't want to write another post XD. Both your attacks hit by the way, waiting for damage.]

As the sword cut through his chuunin vest twice and fairly deep, Hiru had come to a pretty obvious conclusion. It seemed that even Hiru's water gliding wouldn't be enough to give him the speed he needed to even match the velocity of Andou's sword slices. With two of him now on the field, he needed a new strategy and fast. He hoped his old sensei's senses weren't as sharp as his swordsmanship...

First thing he needed to do was to figure out which one was the clone, however, Andou had done such a good job at distracting him with his blade as he cast the jutsu that Hiru had no idea which one to hit.

At random, Hiru took a swing at one of the Andous, as much to try and hit him as to reestablish some combat distance and slid back as he cast Kiri's signature hiding mist technique to try and conceal his location.

Hijutsu: Kiri Gakure no Jutsu (Hidden Technique: Art of the Hidden Mist)
This displacement technique is a specialty of the Ninja from Kirigakure, where one causes a mist to spring forth by lifting up some water, then goes in and out of sight at will from within the pearly-white realm. The mist's thickness is controlled by the amount of chakra kneaded into it. It cannot fool the Byakugan, but, due to the mist being created with the user's chakra, any Sharingan-user will see the mist colored by their opponent's chakra, which will effectively hide the user from the dōjutsu.

First attack launched against an enemy who does not know your location is considered a Sneak Attack.

As he felt his swipes meet their target Andou gritted his teeth. He knew that his current weapon made most ordinary weapons appear like playthings but also knew that to hold back now would be unfair on Hiru. Still... that would hurt tomorrow morning.

Sure enough as expected Hiru came up with a strategy. Andou found himself shaking his head (mentally) at his former student's skills as he parried the blow. A thick, practically white mist appeared and if the situation wasn't so urgent Andou would have facepalmed. He really should have tried to learn this jutsu at least. While Andou finished up his block his clone tried to locate any semblance of Hiru.

Hmmm... yep, no trace of him anywhere. The Hoshigaki was as good as invisible in the white mist swirling around him. Andou wondered how far the mist extended out to and decided to test it out. He passed 5 kunai and 5 exploding tags to his clone just in case and created 4 more clones, not water clones this time of course. While he was dithering about, his water clone set about attaching the bomb tags to the kunais. Then both Andou and his clone threw a smoke bomb into the air and attempted to conceal themselves on opposite sides of the field and scatter the illusory clones amidst the field in the confusion.

Bunshin no Jutsu (Clone Technique)
Bunshin no Jutsu creates one or more clones of the user, which can be used as a means to create a diversion, distraction, or cause confusion. These illusory clones will simply disappear if come into contact, and cannot do anything to damage the opponent.
Cp cost: 1 pt. per clone.
Dice Rolls: 1 Roll
Special: Can create 1 per 5 ranks in Chakra Control. The user numbers each of their clones individually. The attacker does a random number check to see what they hit.
To See Through Clones: d20 + 1/2 the user's int mod + half the user's chk mod vs. d20 + opponent's int. mod. Opponent will target the real ninja among the clones.

Mizuiro was not happy about not being able to see the battle now. he was tempted to interfere by putting a clone in there to put them off and confuse them, but they would probably make him suffer for it later on. So he just tried his best to search the mist for shadows.

But he could see nothing at all. The mist was too thick for him, he was not skilled enough to figure out how to look past it either. He just had to wait until it cleared he could see what was happening before the fight ended.

As the mist gave Hiru a few seconds to breathe he grasped his chest as the adrenaline rush slowly calmed down. He then realized how deep these wounds really were. One thing was for sure, one more strike like that and he'd be as good as dead.

He needed to think of a plan, and it needed to start with getting rid of all these pesky clones Andou had created. Given the fact that Andou's intelligence far outclassed his own, Hiru was fairly certain that bar a miracle there would be no way for him to tell which one of those was his real opponent and he couldn't afford to attack at random. Relenting, he came to the conclusion that he had no choice but to resort to another one of his high chakra consumption jutsus.

Hijutsu: Kirisame (Secret Technique: Mist Rain)
A jutsu known by some Kirigakure shinobis, the user generates a light mist in the area of his target in which a delicate rain starts to pour which eats up the chakra it comes into contact with that is not of the same signature as the original user.

Special:
*Reduce victim's damage dealt by ninjutsu by 15 + chk mod + 2 per 10 points in ninjutsu skill. Double this effect for Katon Jutsus and cut it in half for Doton Jutsus.
*Cancels enemy field of effect jutsus.
*All chakra constructs not generated by the user take [15 + chk mod + 2 per 10 points in ninjutsu] damage per turn regardless of their regenerative capacities.


After a few rapid hand signs, a delicate rain started pouring inside the mist. Hiru didn't know if Andou even knew of this technique, having never been in the special forces, but it was obvious that if he didn't he'd notice its effect in a few very short moments...

[Sorry for suuuuuch a long wait x.x]

Andou briefly cursed as Hiru did a high level ANBU jutsu that Andou did not know that he knew. Well upon reflection it wasn't that surprising given that Hiru had been inducted into the ANBU shortly after graduation and it had been two years since then. All his clones dissolved, including his water clone and well there went five of his kunais and exploding tags. The tags were probably ruined due to the water unless he tried to save them with a dehumidifier or the oven after the match. No, using the oven was probably asking for it.

Not knowing what his next move should be, Andou took the time to search for Hiru again amidst the mist.

That attempt was entirely fruitless, but Andou knew that he couldn't keep hiding here while the battle continued. If anything it would be unfair on them both since the momentum of the fight would be lost. Quickly, Andou attached the explosive tags to his five remaining kunai. He pocketed three and left two hanging at this belt before stepping out into the field. He gripped his sword tightly and his stance was defensive, anticipating attack from any location.

After the way the fight had started, Hiru was glad to see his old sensei finally needing to resort to assuming a defensive position. In only a few minutes of combat, he had had to pull out pretty much his entire heavy artillery of jutsus only to survive a couple of attacks. Still, even though it seemed Andou could apparently not locate him inside the mist, the sensei was far too skilled a swordsman to attack head on, even if it was for a surprise attack.

Nevertheless, it wasn't the first time Hiru found himself in that precarious position. Over his two years in the ANBU black ops he had been sent to face this kind of enemy before, those who could tear you to shreds should they catch even if only a glimpse of you. However, as formidable as they could be, most of them shared the same weakness. From what he remembered, Hiru was fairly certain Andou shared it as well. Staying well hidden in cover, Hiru switched his staff to his left hand and reached out his right palm, spreading his chakra into the mist.

Chakra Kyūin Jutsu (Chakra Absorption Technique)
This technique allows the user to absorb the physical and spiritual energy of an opponent. The user doesn't have to actually touch the opponent, since it is also possible to use it through other media such as earth or water. The only necessary condition is some medium through which chakra can be channeled.
Cp cost: 1/4 of chakra drained.
Dice Rolls: 4 Rolls
Damage: User can drain from (Chakra Control / 2) to (Chakra Control x 2) cp per usage
Will DC: 15 + user's chakra mod + 2 per 10 ranks in user's Ninjutsu
Special: A successful Will check prevents any chakra from being drained. A natural 1 on Will check doubles it. The user gains the Cp drained from the target. Can be used while grappling.


In seconds, Hiru's chakra started filling the mist, conducting through its water particles until it finally reached Andou's chakra system. With all his strength, the chuunin began pulling the chakra from his opponent's body, creating a powerfu vacuum towards his own. Hiru knew that as skilled as Andou was physically and mentally, his chakra had always been barely comparable to that of a talented genin. If his chances of beating him in melee were limited, he could still try to suck him dry of his chakra until he finally passed out.

Still, as promising as this new tactic was, it was far too early to count his opponent out yet. As powerful as Hiru's chakra was, he knew his old sensei's willpower was just as notorious and that he would not go down so easily.

These two fight well. Shizoni had been watching them fight for some time now, in the shadows and was enjoying it. He hadn't seen a nice sparring fight in some time, and also took note that the Hoshigaki was the others former academy student. This was interesting, seeing a student catch up to their sensei so quickly, it reminded hi of how he almost killed his sensei and former owner of his sword.
The reason he was out here, unmasked, because he was off duty, for some reason, the council did not want him around for a whole week, and he found this suspicious. Good thing he had a few inside men doing his leg work. So he enjoyed this small battle for now, and also noticed a younger Hoshigaki enjoying it too it seemed. He wondered if the older one knew of the legendary Samehada, the greatest of the Seven. He decided to wait for them to finish up and then have a little talk with them both.

Something was, off.. After a few moments Andou began to feel his chakra going away, so Hiru was trying to hide and then drain his chakra, eh? Focusing himself Andou was able to first slow, and then stop the chakra from exiting his body. Unfortunately it had taken the lion's share of his focusing ability, and he was still unable to find his former student. He knew that Hiru would have to close the range at some point in the nearish future, so he maintained his defensive stance, waiting for said attack. Meanwhile he went through possible strategies in his mind, he could always use his Syrub Capture Field Technique to capture Hiru during his attack. Andou didn't think he had quite enough chakra left for that attack, at least without it putting a major dent in what chakra he had left.

Hiru could hardly believe it, Andou had actually managed to push back all of his efforts to even tap into his chakra system. He really was every bit as good as he had antiticipated. With his chakra running low, Hiru decided to opt for a different strategy. For now, what he needed to keep up were his mist and his rain, otherwise his opponent could either lunge at him right then and there or create a chakra construct that could prove very dangerous.

However, those chakra taxing jutsus could maybe be stopped if he could simply pin him down... Such a move was going to prove expensive on his chakra reserves but the benefit of his abilities at sneak attacking could be the edge he needed...

Suiton: Mizuame Nabara (Water Release: Syrup Capture Field)
Using this technique, the user can spit a stream of extremely sticky syrup that covers the ground and holds opponents in place. Any ninja capable of walking on water can avoid being stuck in the syrup, but needs to do so before being caught.

Special: Renders victim immobile for [chk mod] number of turns. Victim can only attack using long-ranged attacks or techniques. If used as a sneak attack, user must roll and pass an awareness check before his reflex DC. If he fails Awareness Check, target cannot dodge the technique.


With a few hand seals, Hiru cast his jutsu as his mouth started filling with syrup. In a discrete stream he spat it out at his oblivious opponent, hoping he wouldn't notice the thin layer of syrup spreading to his feet.

After coming into physical contact with the opponent, the user raises their arm into the air, generating a powerful bolt of electricity which will travel through their body into the body of the opponent.
Cp Cost: 80 Cp
Dice Rolls: 3
Damage: 65 – 80 + chk mod + 2 per 10 ranks in Ninjutsu
Reflex DC: n/a
Fortitude DC: 12 + chk mod + 2 per 10 ranks in Ninjutsu
Requirements: Lightning Affinity, Chakra Control 20, Ninjutsu 25, Chakra 26
Training: 3 stages
Stage I: Chakra Control DC 30 Wrapping a limb with electric chakra.
Stage II: Chakra DC 18 {d20 + chk mod} Forcing your electric chakra inside the target.
Stage III: Ninjutsu DC 35 Not electrocuting yourself with your own jutsu despite contact.
Special: Used after a succesful melee or weapon attack or during a grapple. There is no reflex save for this technique, it is an auto-hit through direct contact. Victim must roll a fortitude check. If victim fails fortitude check, he suffers -5 to all movement rolls in his next turn.

So... this should be remote enough for me to practice this jutsu without hurting anyone. Misa thought to herself, walking into a distant part of the Grove without her ANBU gear on. She felt that loose clothing while practicing lightning techniques was a bad idea... now being a good chance to proove her theory. Alright, so... to start, I need to channel my chakra. Misa began to concentrate the chakra flow within her body, bending it, streching it to her will. She had to concentrate to keep it flowing away from her wind chakra, solely concentrating on manipulating her lightning chakra. After a few seconds, lightning sparked upon her left shoulder and began to wrap it's way down her arm.

Alright, that's a good start, but I know I can do better. her thoughts mixed with her concentration, but it didn't seem to throw her off. After a few moments, a second spiral emerged on her right shoulder. It too, began to follow the visible lightning wraps that were around her left arm. To someone looking on at Misa, it would seem as if both of her arms were slowly becoming entagled in glowing ribbons. However, those ribbons... were actually her chakra being manipulated into wraps to train her jutsu. Once the chakra had engulfed both of her arms, Misa began to feel an excitement grow in her. She seemed to be getting the hang of it.

It seemed that Misa's excitement got the better of her, for in an instant, her chakra flared. It was as if everything she had done so far discharged and sent electric sparks flying off of her arms. The sparks hit some of the plantlife, but harmlessly fizzled into nothingness. I got ahead of myself. Calm down, get back to concentrating on your chakra. I'll need to re-wrap my arms in chakra. Just don't get excited until you really get yourself balanced. She gave herself a nod of encouragement... readying herself to start over. Misa took in a calming breath and began focusing her chakra back onto her arms. She did her best to seperate her wind chakra from her lightning chakra, doing what she could to continue her training.

Wrap the lightning around your right arm, Misa. You did it before and you can do it again. Now, concentrate. Misa's right arm sparked alive as a ribbon of lightning chakra emerged from her right shoulder. She shut her eyes as the chakra ribbon had a slow decent, wrapping and twisting around her arm. While the chakra snaked around her right arm, it descended down until it reached her fingertips. It looked as if Misa had gained a sleeve of electricity. She listened to her chakra crackle and spark while mainting the chakra around her right arm. Remembering that the technique required her to initially raise an arm over her head to command the lightning chakra, Misa lifted her right arm up into the air.

Misa then began to concentrate her chakra onto her left arm. She continued to seperate her wind chakra from her lightning chakra which soon emerged at her left shoulder blade. Copying her right arm, her left quickly became a sleeve of lightning chakra. Misa was beginning to grow more attuned with her lightning nature as the rest of her left arm was covered in her chakra. With both arms glowing, Misa raised her left arm up above her head to meet her right arm. She put her hands together, causing the ribbons of lightning chakra to spark and glow. Misa's eyes opened while she let loose a soft sigh. This was much tougher than it looked... and it looked pretty tough to begin with.
