Hakaku coughed several times as the smoke filtered into his lungs. Covering his eyes as he wiped away at the painful colloid. After managing to maintain a balance with the air he peered into the room motionlessly he noticed the ashen furniture, not scrambled or torn away by the flames but simply converted into a cold ash heap. he began to hear a noise, different from the first stronger and much more localized. but still he couldn't make out what exactly it was, but slowly and causiously proceeded to enter the structure, It seemed stable enough. He felt through his ears that the noice was located behin one of the chairs, and began to walk towards it placing his hand on the rim peering over the ash horizon.

(ooc: sorry that I wasn't on last night guys, I was at a show in hollywood and didn't get back until late last night)

::the mewling was coming from what, in the darkness, appeared just to be another black lump. However, this black lump opened a pair of greenish yellow eyes the the stared right back at Hakaku, blinking a few times in the ash filled air::

: surprised utside, the others could still hear the sound coming from the center of the village. It was unchanging in its tone. Neither did it gether speed at any point in its sounding, but stayed steady and specifically monotone::

::the little creature mewed again, looking up at him through the ash filled air. It turned its head and leaned forward to sniff at his hand a moment, apparently considering, and then proceeded to rub its head against his fingers::

Hakaku felt the fur rub against his fingers. As ashened as it was it was still comforting. He sighed relieved his assumption was correct. He let his hand gently run ove the cats ears and head and gave it one stroke before reaching down with his other hand to pick it up. "Well if your here, And I know animals tend to find better shelters than humans do, then were are your owners?" Hakaku asked, although knowing he wouldn't beable to understand any real responce aside from a few body motions.

::the cat was no more than a kitten really. A small black puff of fur, that could fit in both hands. It mewed again, nuzzling against him and purring, looking up at him as if expecting something::

::as toyama made his way towards the center the sound became louder, though still beating in the rhythmic monotone fashion. The houses towards the center were in even worse shape then those that were near the outer edges::

::even with all their searching, it seemed that there were no people left in this area of the village, house after house was empty of both living and dead, any part of the houses that actually were not destroyed seemed relatively undisturbed, as if there had been no great rush to leave the area::

(Nara, I have honestly no idea, I have no had any contact with Shbang in a bit. I'll give him a pm to see if he is busy and then I'll go from there, but if he is, I'll get rom him where these npcs are going with the test and I'll rp is out for you ^.^ sorry about that)
