Time to leave? Already? Well s**t....just when he was getting comfortable in his wooden chair of +5 cushionlessness. Damion would hop to his feet, setting his stone sword on the nearest table and commencing a full body stretch, leaning backwards and reaching towards...well whatever was above/infront of his face. Which just happened to be the grumpified Hono! So, to make a long story short, he was making grabby hands at Hono while looking at her upside down.
" Why so Serious?"
Seemed like a good question, considering her expression, and the bad juju vibes he was getting from being in her general vicinity.

Hono tilted her head to the side, orange eyes not blinking as she looked at Damion for a moment before she very slowly blinked at him. "War is serious... losing deities that were technically on our side is a very bad thing!"
Technically she knew who he was, although up until now she had let Rae deal exclusively with her former teammates, but since Rae was a.w.o.l. at the moment it looked like Hono would have to play as her double for a bit. "Did you need something Damion?"

" War is fun, but that's besides the point...." He replied, straightening up slowly," War is just one of the many ways man fulfills the status quo. No Deity should ever take ...wait, we lost a deity? Where?" Damion had no idea that Sunny was a god of any sort, hell he hardly knew the man past his name!
" But...well yeah I guess I do need something. Y'see I don't like cars, but I had a bike, and I accidentally left it out in the mountains when it ran out of gas." It was a lie that he had 'accidentally' left it. He'd done it intentionally, not realising how much he'd miss the roaring metal monster. " Is there any way to...poof it here?" Damion finished.

"War is not fun... take it from a combat medic!" Rave shook her head and brushed her fingers through her hair as she listened to what else the man had to say, avoiding the question about who they had lost. It was actually a tad interesting that he knew what a deity was, since most people didn't even understand what that word meant these days.
"Things do not poof.... did you tag it, magically I mean?" This close she could almost smell the hint of her own blood running through his veins, and even if he was completely untrained she knew he was finding new things that he could do all the time. "If you marked it with your essence then I can find it and bring it back to you...otherwise I would have to use you as a focus to find it, tracing where you have been back to where you left the bike, then we get it and bing it and you back here. That is the long way by the way!" sweatdrop

Sunstrike would find the hummer to not be empty, a rather relaxed looking mage spread out across the furthest seat back. The sound of the door opening would jerk him upright and cause him to turn his magesight back on. His bundle of food found a place at his feet as he rubbed his temples.
"Ah, we're leaving? Good! That excitement got my hopes up, and now I need to have a little fun."
Scarker grinned. It would have been a pleasant little show of emotion if the mage hadn't forgotten to open his eyes. Ah the perils of being blind and not at the same time...

He blinked alittle, looking just a tright confused at her explanation," Well....I don't think I marked it...it has the parts of my shield hanging off of it though." Hopefully they were still hanging off of it. He wasn't quite sure anymore, and it was likely that someone had walked off with the bike and the shield. He also wasn't sure about this essence business.....

Lazenca, who was totally there, would be trailing Sunstrike like a pet wulf. But don't you dare call him a pet.
Man, that sleeping and all was ruining his ability to be useful. Maybe now he'd be able to kick into gear.

Max was hurt. There were no two ways about it. The truth is that while he as patronizing Sunstrike just a tad, it was not out of insult but out of a desire to help. In Maximos' mind, innocent began at childhood. Children are carefree, and trouble free. So in times of stress, the simpler childish things remind him of a trouble free time, and give him relief. Cookies, candies, milk and tea.
He got arrogance, and then Sun nearly literally in his face. Their noses touched, as Max adjusted his footing. Black and white eyes, gazed straight back into green. He felt something, far from fear, it made him almost automatically, and involuntarily begin to grin. It only seemed to widen as Sun spoke, as intimidating as the presentation was meant to be. It only seemed to fade, a second after when the words actually said, sunk in. Before he could say...
Ow.
...Sunstrike was gone, leaving only Lucind to hear the declaration. Maximos didnt know why the vehicle had a shotgun, or why Sun wanted it, except maybe to substitute for his own missing powers. But he wasnt going to argue. Lucind moved to place the second chocolate bar in her bag, only to find Maximos hand reaching out and around hers, then slipping up to slip the candy from it.
I'll take that. Waste not, want not.
And then she continued. He met her eyes only to silently say with his own "I'm not, worried about a thing!" sort of smile. Though as quickly put together as it was, anyone with any sort of experience with dealing with emotion...such as the Siren could see the lie in his face. At least for all few seconds it lasted before he chomped the candy bar.
"You're gonna keep an eye on him anyway, right? So he'll be fine."
Maximos froze mid bite. His eyes were not on Lucind, instead they were on a spot of floor beside her. And from there she would be able to see as they hardened, and sharpened. If she felt at his emotions, she'd feel something very close to frustration, and indignation. Maximos did not have "Kain" labeled across his forehead. He was NOT his brother's keeper. He was not Sunstrike's father or guardian, or responsible for saving anyone that rushes into death from it. If he did, it was his choice. If he did, it was because he felt it was the right thing to do. The same motivation anyone else standing in this room might, and should have. Somewhere deep inside he was getting a little tired of people assuming they could back down and just let him take over.
His eyes, sharp like daggers and cold as winter's embrace looked up at Lucind and said in a very clear. Very poignant voice.
Yes. We, are.
The words fell, and the anger and frustration almost immediately seemed to bleed off. As if he had giving it the voice it needed in order for him to be set free. If she looked close enough she would get a glimpse at the wear and tear and general tiredness beneath the surface of the Shadow. This was a team effort. Everyone here would work as a group. Or as far as he was beginning to care, they would die alone.
She left, he stood and began making his way to Raven only to find her occupied in conversation with Damion. And so, pausing he made for the door. Or rather he made two steps for the door until bat shrieks echoed in his ears and a hand rest on his shoulder.
"I take it I didn't miss anything too interesting?"
Maximos could feel the glow following the blood repaste through the hand that touched him. Deep inside somewhere it sickened him. Anuksu pretended such civility but had consumed monstrously, and his lie reflect Maximos' leaving the Shadow feeling more inhuman than he was comfortable with.
He was all to happy to feel the hand lifted before he need remove it himself. And watched as Anuksu strode to the door. Max had his tea, Damion's book, and a pile of weapons in the corner was very quickly dissolving into nothing.
Mismatched eyes peered over his shoulder taking one look back at the bar to see who was moving, who wasnt, and so forth. Taking in everything, gazing at nothing.
"You didn't think I was going to run did you?"
The voice snapped his eyes back to the door.
Hmm? No.
The words fell loosely but hung as if there was a second part. Wearily as he made his way up to where the vampire stood and then pushed open the door and stepped outside past the pale paladin. At which point he let out a sigh, and said just barely above his breath without stopping.
But I hoped...
And continued to the car. Almost immediately opting to change the subject.
We have to talk, you and I.
Maximos would find a backseat, with a window. Which he would immediately wind down. Yes he knew how to work the winding mechanism. He'd set his tea in his lap, and Damion's book beside him. And he was ready to ride.

Then, she slowly nodded. "Yes...yes, that's right." * A bit later outside Lucind scanned the sky before taking one of the handy pieces of meat: she waited a few more seconds while her focus seemed to change on something else - before she threw the lump up in the air where it was directly snatched by a bird of prey (of the size of a buzzard) that had come shooting down only to directly soar up high again. In the same way Lucind would feed a second bird of the same race, before she cleaned her hands and finally got into the car. Making herself comfy, she opened her coat and put on her shades. John would get the message that they didn't need his helicopter for transport. Once everybody was seated, Lucind started the engine. "Ladies and gentlemen, fasten your seatbelts, watch your heads and tea cups....no smoking, no cell phones and so on..." With a grin on her lips, Lucind put in the first gear to get the Hummer going.

A little black cat was curled up under Sun's seat, her ears laid back and her tail wrapped over her nose as if she was asleep.
Hono resisted the urge to smack her palm to her forehead as she stood back up again, nodding at Damion before she slowly reached out to tap a finger to his forehead. "Okay, we will do this the hard way then... if you feel sick, try not to throw up on my shoes..." sweatdrop With that ominous warning the pair disappeared from the bar.
The bounce took only a few moments, but since Hono was sticking close to the material world Damion might notice that he no longer had a body, or feelings, and the world around them moved a lot like watching a movie with the fast forward turned on the highest setting before they suddenly popped back into existence with a jarring motion that would have thrown them off their feet if Hono had pause more than the half a second it took her to touch Damion's bike and then in less than a blink the world went all dark and they reappeared outside of the bar once more with that slight jarring motion that people often experience when coming to a sudden stop.
Hono, Damion, and his bike, were all outside of the bar in less time than it would have taken for Damion to process what Hono had said before the world went "poof" xp "Well there you go, be certain to drive safe now... I am gona ride in the hummer!" look at that, she even managed to keep from calling it a contraption.
Hono would quickly shift to her cat form, the little white fur ball scampering to get in the truck before Lucind could pull away.

Sick? Maybe if that was his first encounter with such means of travel, but by now he was getting used to such movements. That and he was beginning to accept that Magic was just that kind of powerful, able to take them all over. " Amazing...." Didn't stop him from marveling at the entire thing, just the shear brilliance of the entire ordeal. And now he had his bike back! " Alrighty, guess I'll tail after ya'll then."
He would quickly access if everything was present on the bike....looked like it, although the front of the bike seemed to have developed some kind of growth, a little shield over where the headlight would be, a kite shield infact, no more than a foot from tip to tip. " Hey....someone took my bag o' shieldy bits!" That was annoying....oh well, no time to dwell. Damion quickly yanked on his boots, taking them from one of the saddle bags on the bike and swinging up onto the metal monster, letting it roar to life.
But wait.....wasn't it out of gas before? Damion didn't seem to be paying that much attention though, just glad it was there.

As everything started up ready to go Sun turned and literally threw himself over/around the back of his seat, as Laz shifted in next to him. Probably not in a very safe gesture at all, and promptly caught one of Maximos' knees in a teasing squeeze. Even though things had still changed, it wasn't like it had been painful, and there had been no need to spread the hurt around.
Sun had noticed the slight he'd done and offered up the best thing he knew to apologise without actually doing so. Affection, and information. Hopefully, it would prove useful at some point.
"Shotgun."
He pointed to the seat he was in.
"Probably originated from Military. You need to have a person to guard the driver, who needs both hands on the wheel, and therefore, cannot carry a weapon. Said person usually has, a shotgun, of some variety and lethality. It then probably translated over into civilian because, as you can probably guess, calling "shotgun" sounds cooler then calling "passenger side."
He smiled at both the vampire and the shadow as if pleased he'd figured that out.
"You two seem to know each other..."
For all that Sunstrike was brilliant, sometimes that didn't make up for his lack of common sense.
"Relationship gone south?"

Anuksu smiled at sun, for a good sense of humor seemed hard to come across these days. He thought for a moment about just ignoring the question and letting Maximos answer it in whatever way he deemed worthy, but in order to make any friends, he would have to begin to speak up for himself, and make his presence more known.
And so Anuksu spoke to answer Sun's question with a sincere light of friendliness in his eyes. His voice, instead of the quiet whisper, was carried full and strong, though still pleasing to the ears.
"Well, in all actuality, we only met a few days ago, though it seems he had known of me for quite some time. As flattering as it is that he has some sort of "file" about me, it shows a rather... shameful side of me. Sadly when we met face to face, my... past reputation preceeded me causing the relationship to start in the South if you will."
Pleased with the explanation he had given, Anuksu smiled once again, gave Maximos a little salute, and climbed into one of the seats, preparing for their journey.

On Sunstrike. Lazenca would be sharing Sunstrike's seat, for the sake of... well... no reason, really. At least Laz thought it funny.
There might be an argument for the fact that the two didn't talk much during that tournament, and despite it, Lazenca felt he had the right to do this, just as much as he'd have such rights with Teira's lap. Maybe he just wanted to see what Sun would do would a prettyu cold, pretty heavy wulf on his lap.
Maybe he didn't want to try sharing the under-the-seat area with that cat, for fear that he'd try to eat her.
Who knows?
The Shadow knows.
But not Maximos. He doesn't even know how a plane flies.

For a second Lucind felt as if they were going on a field trip - and she was reminded of her conversation with the vampire. But it was of no use to wish this situation was as innocuous as such an excursion.
Nontheless, her smile lasted a bit longer when the hummer sped up slightly to leave the Firebrand behind. With one of Sun's maps lying next to her and the two additional pairs of bird eyes Lucind was sure she'd find Reen without too much difficulties.
