I never knew that feeling until two days ago. She was well into two of her three years of sobriety before I met her. My head is reeling from Red Bull and vodka right now, but Caitlin I seriously appreciate the empathy. I'm a goddess worshipping heathen slash atheist, but any happy thoughts of solidarity are more than welcome.

That's good. That's a good Idea also. It's really important. Plus it's good you guys knew about it before it was too late. She can recover from here.

She can, but I'm the only one in her life who gives a ********. Our mutual friend who introduced us way back when does not know, and honestly, he's not in a position to be able to deal with it. In a really, really screwy way I can't believe that this hasn't shaken my love for her one bit. The human heart, in the metaphorical sense, is just such an amazing thing when it gets used right. Man is that ironic on this account. Pacemaker, lol.

I actually believe that, and this is coming from a self deprecating a*****e. She wouldn't argue with you either.

So here's a fun game: if your life were a movie, who would play you?
It's general consensus that you're not allowed to come up with these on your own (otherwise I would be played by Sophie Marceau). We've already come up with a few:
Kitty: Alyson Hannigan or Alicia Silverstone (we've also decided her movie would be animated if Alicia played her). Wally: Kristin Davis I would be either Sarah Gilbert or Thora Birch. My friend Dan has suggested Janeane Garofalo.
So realistically, who would play you? Who do you think would play others?

I can't think there's anyone out there who believes Kritin Davis would make a good Wally West.

Technologist Tony Stark Thus I'm making a vow; I'm giving up on tattooing until she gets sober. I truly appreciate self sacrifice, but that's not going to help anyone. If anything, if this is the person who inspired you to do it, you should continue doing it and let it serve as a reminder to her of how important she to you. Show her that she has more than the bottle.
