I've got one that will top that. I was moving... my oldest son was 16 and up in his room hooking up the computer in the new house. I got done moving all the big stuff, and was sweeping out the uhaul trailer. It was late, it was dark, I'd been up for 24 hours to get my moving done..and I went to sweep out the trailer so I could turn it in before 7 am, so I didn't have to pay for another day... and I misjudged the end of the truck in the dark, misstepped and fell out of the truck. When I fell my feet went out first and I tried to catch myself and missed and hit my buttock on the trailer hitch attached at the end of the trailer. I hit is just right that the ball impacted me bad and then I pitched forward and fell on my hands and elbows, slid a couple of inches and burned the skins off them. I also got my knees scrapped. I had the wind knocked out of me. I tried to get my son's attention, but he had his music going by then and couldn't hear me. So I had to crawl on my belly up 4 steps, through the inside front porch, then half way up the stairs to the second floor before my son heard me. He came to help me because I couldn't stand up. A couple of hours later I was finally able to stand on my own and returned the uhaul truck. When I got home it still hurt to sit, so I went in the bathroom and check out my backside... my left cheek was completely purple. It slowly turned black, after staying that color for 2 weeks, I broke down and went to the doctor. He said I had killed most of the tissue back there and that the black was dried blood.

They were talking surgery after it was still black after a month. It finally started to turn brown, then green and yellow. I had a hard bump underneath the muscle that was a blood clot. They wanted to surgically remove it, but the surgery risk was too high. It everntually after 3 months faded away, but I had the lump the size of a fist for over 6 months before it finally started to disolve, It finally cause the area of the lump to suck in and leave me with a permanent dimple. Ever since then I've had a fear of Uhaul trucks... stressed

That sucks. The worse thing I've ever done to myself was when I was working at a Haunted Forest in this area. I was walking in the dark and tripped over two boards of wood that were planted into the ground. I slid about a good foot along the ground on my knees, on gravel. One side of my jeans was ripped from my knee, almost down to my ankle, and the leg underneath that part had been torn completely open, and had gravel stuck in it. That hurt like a b***h.

There was the time when I stepped on a sewing needle. I'm scared of needles, so I was hopping around my parents house, on one foot, screaming bloody murder.

My most horrible klutz moment is as follows...

I walked out of the Tribal Museum downtown in my tiny little home town. And I had my hand on the door handle and walked right off the small like half a foot high step with my hand still on the handle ignoring the Watch your step sign. The building is an old church and it has these big ole wrought iron handles that are suspiciously sharp on the edges.

Well holding onto the handle and taking the step down I SHREDDED my right hand, every single joint on the inside of my hand had a flap of skin hanging off and my hand was bleeding like I'd taken the skin off of my entire palm. I screamed my head off. Here I am like 17 and with my friends blubbering and screaming and they're freaking out because the blood is dripping off my hand. After it was cleaned up it wasn't so bad but it looked HORRIBLE. I had a bandaid on every single knuckle. It made it hard to write.

While I was pregnant, my parents had the idea to take the banister off the stairs in their house. That was just asking for me, to wobble down the stairs, and launch myself head first into their living room. So, I just stopped going upstairs. All that was up their was my brothers' rooms anyway.

Loki's horrible klutz moments of doom!

When I was three, I damn near severed my own big toe by pulling on a pane of sheet glass. It came loose, and fell directly on my big toe. It was REALLY gross. It was just like HANGING there by a sinew off my foot. And because it was such a traumatic event, I actually remember it quite vividly gonk . And I still have a HUGE scar on the knuckle that connects my toe to my foot.

Also, much later in life, I was pregnant with my daughter and slid down my stairs stressed . I was just minding my own business, walking down my wooden stairs... in socks. My feet just zipped out from under me, and I did one of those cartoon style falls down the stairs where my a** lands on every stair on the way down. I was so mad and frustrated once I finally hit the bottom, that I just sat there and cried crying . I wasn't hurt (other than a bruise or two), but I guess my moodiness (from the pregnancy) just forced me into pathetic sad meltdown phase.

Owch owch owch. I am almost inured to pain - not that that takes away my right to whinge about it wink - because I am a complete and utter bona fide klutz. Not a day goes by where I don't walk into a wall or a door, open a cupboard on my head, burn myself , trip over or otherwise hurt myself. It's gotten to the stage that my family and friends hear THUMP "owowowowow" and don't even get up or call out. The most I get is "Is there any blood?". If I'm bleeding I might score a drop of sympathy but otherwise not even a flicker. Woe is mee! xd What's worse is Theo had inherited it too. His head and legs are a constant patchwork of vari-coloured bruises.

I tend to be a clutz too. There's a good reason why we keep a car first aid kit in the kitchen. My bouts of klutzness is one of the many reasons that Izzy took the combat first aid course. lol. I have all sorts of scars all over my hands from various cooking accidents, as well as a shattered tailbone from an incident with helping a cow give birth. Those things are slippery I tell you.

*raises fist in triumph!* Yay for being a non-klutz! xd

i've never hand any sort of severe injuries.. and any minor cuts, sores, infections etc, that i have had, i've generally dealt with by myself.

EG. when i was in the RAAF Cadets, we where out on bivouac, and i was setting up a trap, my knife slipped, and sliced open the knuckle on my left index finger... i put my knife away, dropped the stick i was cutting, got some medical supplies, fixed it, and went about my business xd quite unspectacular.

i've banged my head a couple times getting in or out of the car (geeez that hurts)... i guess.... smile im just not that accident prone...

sweatdrop although.. .Dara tells me she has extrodiarily silly stuff happen to her all the time... such as... *quotes*

Quote:

Dara: the more interesting bit was my run-in with the keys
Me: keys?
Dara: yeah
Dara: the car keys
Dara: ^____^;;
Me: o.o?
Dara: yeah,...
Dara: first...the button to lock the doors wouldn't work
Dara: i sat there in the parking lot looking silly..aiming it at the car and continuously pressing it
Dara: "work, dangit!"
Dara: finally went back to the car and manually opened, locked, and closed each door
Me: o.o;
Dara: when i finally got a parking spot,....the car wouldn't relinquish the key to me
Dara: hahahha
Dara: i kept trying...
Dara: turning it, pull it, rinse, repeat
Me: o.o
Dara: turning on the car,...turning it off
Dara: i was yelling "let go of-the-KEY! Letgo-of-the-key-leggo-leggo-leggo!"
Dara: ^^;
Me: o.o
Dara: this kind of stuff only happens to me
Dara: hahahahah
Dara: you see, I'm silly,,...and silly things happen to me....
Dara: or rather, i get myself into silly situations
Dara: I'm glad you have patience,... because things like this end up slowing me doiwn with whatever i was trying to accomplish XD

so, i think she might make up for when im not-klutzy xd sweatdrop

I have discovered one bad thing about the car I now have. We attempted to glue the rear view mirror back on the other day. 20 minutes after it dries, and we are heading down the road...*poink* it falls right back off.

My mom was teaching me how to help a cow give birth, and everything was going peachy, that is until, I pulled to hard on the chain and slipped on some blood sending me flying onto a pallet and, smash. Shattered tail bone. That was about eight years ago. It doesn't give me to many problems unless I'm trying to do sit ups (yeah right), or we get a little adventerous as a married couple. But hot water bottles come in so handy.
