"Should we get ready to leave?" Rincewind asked, breathlessly.
"Well, the paper doesn't work quite as well, I found out. Turns out that I think some of them might be slightly psychic. Perhaps I should take a look at your TARDIS, two Time Lords could be better than one, after all." He paused. "Well, two Gallifreyans, a Time Lord and Lady."

Lupa shrugged. "Probably. I've seen him take down two rogue vamps at once, which is very hard to do, especially without a sword."
"Neeehhh. I dun wanna." She sounded a bit like Angel, snuggling closer.
"Maybe," she said with a shrug. "Although I'm not certain I want to go back. Last I heard, the Doctor was looking for a way to stop the Time War... and the only way to do that would be with a Time Lock, which would be incredibly unpleasant to be caught in."

"Well, she's due tomorrow. I'm not sure heading back out on the road would be the best thing, even with an alternate dimensional home thingy at our disposal." Riley told Mala and Van.

"I don't know! I told you, I've never delivered a baby before!" Riley spazzed. "I'm amazed I'm as calm as I am now! The only reason I can't wait for tomorrow is so this can be over and done with and my blood pressure can return to normal!"

Mala sat in a corner, waiting for everyone to be done with everything before she would head off again. She stopped listening before long, growing somewhat bored.

"Good idea." Mala pulled out the new map, a hologram-sort-of-thing bursting up from from the paper as she opened it. She looked impressed, but made no comment. There was an arrow above the town where they were at. "We are here." she pointed at it. "Our destination is...here." she then moved her hand to point over at Mt. Eclipse. "Right?"

"Yeah, that's the place." Van said. "Looks like we've still got a ways to go, but it's certainly not as bad as I thought."

"So we can either head on a long path with only two or three towns mixed in between - avoiding many of the nutso idiots that might try to kill you - or we can go on the shorter path with more towns which probably has more potential usurpers out there." Mala said, after examining the roads for a couple moments.

"Hmm...." Van rubbed his chin in thought. "I guess take the shorter route. I can probably handle most nutjobs, so long as they're mortal nutjobs. I'd prefer to sort this power outage crap out before I hit rock bottom. I'd really rather not find out what happens if I do lose all my power..."

Mala frowned slightly upon hearing this. However, she nodded in understanding. "Very well, but you are forbidden from using your powers in the encounters - should you be able to help it." she said with a frown.
