Siefren battosai matt Siefren battosai matt Siefren battosai matt Seems kinda odd that street fighter would have a plot. It seems like it be a fighting game in which the closest thing you get to a plot is learning more about the characters. Well acctualy in the Street Fighter game I have for the orignal GameBoy there wasn't one I think. lol Street Fighter has had a story ever since the original 1987, Arcade and Nintendo game. The first one you could only play as one character though. and that character was Ryu. You joined a fighting tournament, and fought through a few characters, and in the first Street Fighter game the main enemy was Sagat, and Ryu Defeated Sagat with the Soaring Dragon Punch or Shoryuken. That's how Sagat got that huge scar that lines up his chest, you can see the last battle in the Street Fighter II movie from the first Street Fighter game with Sagat facing Ryu. Now given when Street Fighter II came out, there really wasn't much of a story around, well, not one that we could clearly follow just yet, that didn't come until later Releases, but each character had a special ending in Street Fighter II, Chun Li and Guile both having personal vendettas against Bison (Who in the Japanese is really called Vega lol, I'll explain the difference in the name change if you'd like.) The ending story videos didn't really have much to them, but then Super Street Fighter II came out which expanded on the story and gave more of a background. And now, with the new SFIV games, the storys have expanded into more teratories. so it's a pretty good story. ^^ Its sounding more and more like Mortal Kombat which I personally find more amusing. Street Fighter was around before Mortal Kombat, so Mortal Kombat sounds more like Street Fighter lol. ^_^ I prefer Street Fighter to Mortal Kombat, I mean seriously the violence is just way over the top in MK, and I'm not a fan of stuff like that much. Only by a few years. I find the violence to be very fun. Makes it different from most fighting games. lol, Still Street Fighter was established before MK. ^_^ it is and always shall be the first fighting game. Well I do believe that Street Fighter was the first fighting game, I'll have to check into that. I don't believe you need to have violence in a game to make it fun, especially over the top violence like ripping out peoples spines, and what not. I know you did just tell me. I'm not saying it has to have that. I perfectly enjoy DBZ games. The Mortal Kombat games has something more than just the normal fighting.

Besides, what came first is always first, so proper comparison to the two would be that Mortal Kombat is a lot like Street Fighter lol. my two favorite fighting game sereis has to be Street Fighter and Super Smash Brothers. I'm not the biggest fan of MK, or the DBZ games.

The only things that has is new characers and amazingly a story mode. Gusse it helps it sell if theres a story.

And I don't know, seems that most fighting games have a story mode, but I think one of the best aspects of fighting games is the two player options. We all like to beat the crap out of each other in games like that lol.

I wouldn't say Super Smash bros. had a story for the first two games just an arcade mode which I don't consider a story mode. Since it was "Hey beat this person and go to the next stage and eventually Master Hand" or something. Not really a plot. I like how Snake got into it though. I really love the how you can use a codec. I usally play as Link or Marth or Ike. What can I say? I love swords.

No that was with Melee, with the first one, you'd have the character just drop out of the sky once you beat the game, and they went limp, like how a plushy would respond if you dropped it. Melee they were like figurines I guess.

I can go back and check both the games sometime later on tonight perhaps. I'm so bored right now, I'm willing to do mostly anything lol.
