"Maybe, but Miyuki decided otherwise," Lin replied as she set Miyuki down.

She had already been to this place but being grown had changed everything and Miyuki was already speeding off to explore everything.

Haradhel smiled. "Well, she is at the age where she's going to be getting into everything," she laughed. "So you may as well get used to it."

"At least she sleeps through the nights," Leyenda winked. "Amalirahc still doesn't."

"She went to get Earendil," Lin replied dryly, "And I'm pretty sure she knew it too."

Judging by his state of less than dress she had a funny feeling Miyuki probably got into his room. While Lin was somewhat amused, she was also a bit worried because Miyuki was becoming far more attached than she would have expected.

Leyenda snickered, and even Haradhel had to try not to laugh.

"I'm sure it was quite deliberate on her part," Haradhel agreed. "She's quite intelligent after all. And you know children pick up on so much more than adults give them credit for. Sometimes they even pick up more than adults do."

It was almost as if Miyuki were a conduit for Earendil to show his affection for Lin, and Miyuki just soaked it all up ... and of course Lin's own affection for Earendil was nothing to sniff at either.

Why did Lin have a feeling she was missing something? Pick up on what? She could only blink thoughtfully at that, it really did seem like she missed something.

"Picking up?"

Miyuki began to realize that she was getting hungry, but she couldn't eat yet. She always ate with her Mommy and Earendil. So where was he? But she was hungry, and she smelled whatever lingered from the meal everyone else had before her and her mother.

But before either of the women could answer, Earendil entered the room. This time he was properly dressed, his hair combed, face washed and everything.

"Good morning," he greeted everyone with a smile. He sniffed the air. "Is that breakfast I smell?"

Haradhel laughed. "I get the hint. I'll be right back."

And she got up and headed for the kitchen.

Miyuki was on him the moment she saw him. Skittering over to her favourite person she grabbed Earendil's hand and tried to drag him over to one of the chairs. How successful she was, was highly questionable.

"I think you're not the only one hungry," Lin chuckled watching Miyuki as she took a seat.

Earendil chuckled and let Miyuki lead him forward.

"I think it's more than that," he grinned, taking a seat next to Lin. "I think she was waiting for me to wake up too. I woke up and she was right there, staring at me."

Leyenda snickered again, and then started giggling.

Lin could kind of see why this was amusing, but she had the funniest feeling she was missing something. All she could do was shake her head.

"And you didn't hear her?"

Maybe Miyuki was just really really quiet.

Miyuki on her part held out her arms to Earendil, she wanted on his lap, because she liked it there. Now that he was sitting just where he was supposed to.

Earendil flushed with embarrassment. "I was exhausted last night, I didn't even want to get up right away," he admitted, reaching down automatically to pick up Miyuki and set her on his lap. "I only did because I knew you would be looking for her."

"To be honest," Leyenda grinned, "I'm amazed she isn't saying your name yet, Earendil. Or even trying."

"Ah!" Miyuki drummed the table with the palm of her hands.

Not aware that people were talking about her, or the fact she was stuck to Earendil like glue. Almost anyways.

"Give her time," Lin murmured, "Just you wait, I bet he's going to be her first word."

She laughed at this not just because she fully believed it, but because she thought it was really funny at the moment.

It wasn't long before Haradhel was back with breakfast for them, and once they had eaten, she suggested that the two of them head to Ulani for winter clothes for Miyuki. With as many children and grandchildren as she'd had who were female, she was most likely to have something for her.

So once breakfast was over, the three of them bundled up and headed out.

"I would imagine the others will be heading back to Amon Darthir later on today, or maybe tomorrow," Earendil murmured to Lin as they walked.

Lin sighed, she was holding Miyuki but only because Miyuki didn't really have anything in the ways of proper clothes and she didn't wanted her to get cold. So the little girl was bundled up in a blanket for good measure.

"It can't be helped, it wouldn't do to be stuck here for the winter."

Not with things serious in Amon Darthir.

"And I think Elros might be the most anxious of them all to get back," Earendil nodded. He shrugged. "Well, I know if I had been separated from my wife for even a fraction of the time that he has, I would be anxious to get back to her as soon as possible. Especially if I knew she were in a dangerous situation."

It seemed it was time for everyone to start leaving, though. Lin would have to go eventually, Kelirahc and Leyenda would eventually find somewhere to settle down ...

"And I think Haldia was talking about perhaps going back home after the winter as well," he mused.

"Halida is going back?"

Lin looked up at Earendil, partly out of surprise but also to see how he was taking it. This was the guy who just said how he felt on the matter of being separated from someone he loved.
