She rolled her eyes and looked up at the sky, hoping she had completely rebuffed him.
"I suggested you take off that armor awhile ago. I said you looked like a tool in it. Go take off your armor and go play with Aphrodite. I've quite had my fill of you gods for awhile, thank you."

Ares groaned, flopping down onto the ground. "I actually like this armor, thank you very much, little miss sunshine. And I haven't had enough of you, so tough luck. Did you forget that you're a god, too?"

Aphrodite listened to them bicker, a smile tugging at her lips. They were amusing, the pair of them. Evermore was quite irked about something, but Aphrodite wasn't going to go ask her. Evermore had made it perfectly clear that she didn't want outside help... even from a councilor. So if she didn't want it, she wasn't gonna get it. Tough s**t.

Ever's heartbeat began to pick up when Ares said that he hadn't had enough of her. Well if that wasn't the hottest thing she had ever heard...
But the next thing he said pissed her off even more, so what he said before didn't even matter!
She still didn't look down at him, but her cheeks were flushing in anger. "I am a second generation god, so it does not count! And I don't manipulate people, so that doesn't make me one, and I am no longer interested in the lake or ******** room anymore, so that doesn't count! So you can leave me alone for good now, Ares, because you will no longer be able to get any information out of me!"
She reached for a nearby branch and tried to pull it down so that it would shield her from him... despite how immature it looked.

Aphrodite tried not to make a comment... she really did try. Instead, though, her bell-like laugh resonated around the lake. Her laugh was sweet, and easy on the ears. "Ares, you may have met your match..." she said, standing up an dusting herself off.
She wasn't wearing much, just a shell-pink bikini and a wrap around her waist. The whole ensemble showed off her perfect body. Aphrodite walked closer to the pair, peering up into the tree. She placed her hands on her curvy hips. "Do be careful, Evermore," she said genuinely.

Ares turned and looked up to glare at her, simply ignoring Aphrodite for now. "Evermore. No matter what you say or how you deny it, you are a God. It is not your actions that make you so--you remember Ophiuchus, from the other day? He does not manipulate people, but he's still a god." He sighed. "You're going to be a god--excuse me, goddess whether you like it or not." He stared at her, hoping she'd get his point, and then quietly added, "I won't leave you alone, Evermore. Information or not, I can't leave you alone."

Ever rolled her eyes at both Aphrodite and Ares. Two main Olympian gods out here talking with her.
She looked down at both of them with a fierce glare, her eyes and hair red now. She even stood up on the branch she had been sitting on and she placed her hands on her hips.
"You two don't seem to get it! I do not have nor will I ever have information about what's going on now! I am removing myself entirely from the situation! I was not the one who even found the gods-damned room in the first place, so obviously you all had it wrong! I wasn't needed to find it! I'm probably not needed to find whatever is going on in the lake, either! So you all can leave me the hell alone because I'm not needed anymore to gather information! You'll never get anything from me!"
She had actually stomped her foot a few times as she had spoken, not caring if it looked immature.

Ares teleported to stand on an opposing branch. "No, Evermore," he said, "it is you who doesn't get it. I am not looking for information. I don't give a damn about the ******** information anymore." He stared at her, fierce. "I'm going to continue to bother the hell out of you because I want to. Get it now?"
Actually, he rather hoped she didn't. He didn't even get himself.

Ever rolled her eyes and scoffed. "No, I don't get it, you stupid God of War. As I keep saying, you gods talk in riddles. No one can understand anything you say."
"Even if you did just bother me because you want to now, that still means I don't want you anywhere near me! I only put up with your condescending and cruel attitude because I thought you might have information to give me about what I was put here to do."
She threw her hands up in the air. "But now, it doesn't matter because I'm pulling myself out of whatever's going on in this school. So I don't need you for information now, even though you only ever gave me that locket to help. And I didn't even use it to find the Room! It didn't work for me! It only worked for Aurora! In fact, I think you should hang around her from now on because I think there's something up with her. She'll help you find what you're looking for more than I will."

Ares groaned, rubbing a hand down his face. "Evermore..." he said quietly. "Did you ever try to control the map with your thoughts or movements? To find something other than the Room?" He made a gesture. "Anyone--even a cat--could use the locket if they just wanted to show something that isn't magically protected like that. You just have to touch it, to think about it. That's all." But he didn't know what she was saying about this Aurora girl. What did she have to do with anything?

Ever groaned and shook her head. "You were right there when I tried to find the Room and it didn't work! Thanks for remembering! Obviously I saw other things on the map, but there was no point for me to use it any other time! I just wanted to find the Room! But Aurora could."
She screamed and hit one of the nearby branches, causing leaves to fall down to the ground.
"And that doesn't even matter right now! I told you that I'm not getting myself involved in all of this and you're not getting anything out of me anymore!"

Ares growled. "The damn locket can't show the Room! It's impossible! No matter who touches it, it would never be able to show the thrice-damned Room! How could some stupid girl find what no one else has been able to do?!" He glared at her.

Ever glared right back at him. "I don't know! That is what I'm saying! There's something special about her, I'm sure! Akira came and told me that she and Aurora had found the Room using the locket, so obviously the locket DID work for someone else! So what I am now saying is that you should focus your... 'efforts', on her!"
She made quotation marks when she said 'efforts'. Obviously, she was making an innuendo with that remark.

He growled again, appearing next to Evermore. "I will not focus my so-called 'efforts' on this random girl! Do you even know how they found the Room? You or I may have overlooked something!" Damn, he actually sounded logical for once. How often did that happen?

She was still glaring forward, not looking to the side at Ares.
"No, I don't know how they found the Room with the locket because I didn't ask. Because I don't WANT to know how they found it with the locket. All that matters is that it proves that I'm not needed in any of this. You gods can't use me anymore."
