Mugen is a 19-year-old man and was born in a penal colony on the Mist Islands. His name means without limitation, as the components of it are the characters for "without" and "limitation." Incidentally, he writes his name using the infinity symbol (∞), a pun on his name, 'Mugen,' which is a homophone of the Japanese word for 'eternity'. His Japanese is quite rough and "Yanki". It also appears that he may be of Leaf origin, commenting once that he grew up on the same music an Leaf fugitive was playing. As for his parents, Mugen states that it has been a long time since he can remember what it is like to have parents. The blue tattoos on his wrists and ankles indicate that he was once in prison. His father died when he was 8 years old of an infection obtained during the second great ninja war. His mother died a week after he was born from birthing complications. Jigami was named after the Shinto god of the land due to his strong Senju blood and his love for nature, he holds his mothers tender care for those less fortunate and the nature around him as well as his fathers strong resolve. Jigami was a Chuunin in the Leaf village, but hating the war he left the village willingly. With the village destroyed his defection was not much of a problem. It was rather finding a new village that posed a predicament. He distrusted Takigakure for their ambitious take over of Kusagakure and he also could not join Kirigakure for their involvement in the war with Konohagakure. With Kumogakure having recently recovered from the loss of its village he joined the village after speaking with the Raikage in hopes that they would understand his feelings having witnessed personal loss recently. He hoped they would stay uninvolved in future wars. His skills are great, but he has yet to put them to use yet for his knew village.
