Aquaria waited in the foyer for Garin to return. While she waited, she played with the dagger at her hip, then turned the Sanvi-pendant over and over in her hands, looking at it.

Garin nodded and walked that way. His senses were on alert for anything that might be dangerous.

A tree branch broke behind them and Sanvi turned quickly to see the threat. A fox walked behind them, and she turned around and nodded.
