"Whoa!" he exclaimed, she'd caught him off guard when she pushed him over. This girl was assertive, but whatever. Instead of their previous arrangement, he took one arm and reached it up behind his head, his other hand extended over the small of her back. Rex strained to take a look at Antony, double checking that she was positioned nicely, then rested his head back down on his arm, looking at the ceiling.
The day's events played over in his head like a home movie, things were still sinking in. To be honest, Rex half expected to to wake up from a dream when he fell asleep. Asleep... asleep...
Rex's eyelids slowly dropped and his breathing steadied to a calmer pace. This was a well needed forty-winks.

Antony quirked a half smile at his exclamation, but said nothing. Instead, she comfortably hooked her top leg over his out of habit, careful not to damage any goods of his.
Soon enough, like him, the tattooed woman was fast asleep.

After a rather uncomfortable night, Rex's eyes creaked open. It took him a minute to figure out where he was, but was reminded when he found Antony sprawling over him. He yawned a lion's yawn and listened to the rain's non-stop patter and the howl of the wind. So the rain hadn't let up.
Oh my god, he'd totally forgotten about Avery, the wolfman and everyone else he was supposed to meet up with. Did they all meet back together somewhere without him? Oh he hoped so, Rex doubted Avery's survival skills. But instead of leaving in a hurry, he gave a long sigh.

Antony was jostled awake by the yawn, but didn't open her eyes and simply groaned sleepily.
His sigh caused her to rise and fall with his chest, and she gingerly cracked a violet eye open at him. Even though she wasn't going to move anytime soon, Antony sleepily ran her hand over his chest and then down to his stomach. "Wassamatta?" She slurred groggily, still half asleep.
A good belly rub never hurt.

"Oh, I just remembered about the people who found us on the beach yesterday. We were supposed to meet up, but I got lost in the storm and found you." He let out another sigh, trying not to make it as big as it's precursors. "I'm kind of worried about them..."
Rex continued to stare straight up and wondered if he should go out and look for them, or assume that they were all right.

"They're probably fine," she said through a yawn, reclosing her cracked eye before resettleding against his chest. It was obvious she didn't feel that Avery and the others were in any sort of danger.
But just in case he didn't, she decided to reassure him, though her voice was still full of sleep, "You said you met Ambrose right? I think he's far enough through the change to be able to sniff out this Avery kid... That and there are loads of people on the island..."
She really didn't want him to move, or to have to move.

"Yeah, they're probably fine." He mumbled, turning his head to the side to look at the cold wet ashes in the firepit.
But Rex just couldn't get the image of a freezing and drenched man in girl's clothes curled up in under some tree all night long. And what about that lizard-girl, Amaya. She looked pretty far into her change, and lizards are cold blooded. That girl must be a fricken popsicle. Why did he get concerned so easy.
He made a quiet grown and rubbed his hand up and down Antony's back while she did the same to his chest.

"They wouldn't let him die," she muttered against his chest, eyes slowly peering open as a sign of defeat. Antony was, in fact, fully awake, but she just didn't want to remove herself from his embrace.
Tilting her face up to look at him, she smiled slightly as if to add some sort of reassurance to her earlier comment. The look didn't last however, and she was soon lazily watching as she traced her fingertips along his stomach. "Watch this be some sort of practical joke... Or some s**t like that..."
She didn't even know if it was a joke or not.

Let him die? It would be awful to die alone in the raining cold of the jungle on a desolate island. His conscious was getting to him, could he leave him out there alone? And what about Ambrose and the others, did they succeed in making the signal fire?
Rex craned his neck up again to look at the woman trailing her fingers along his belly. Damn, how did it escalate to this so soon with a girl he hardly knew. "A joke? Heh, it'd certainly go down in history." Then stopped. S'shame no one would know about it. If this girl got touchy about home, the thought of going back would be worse. He didn't dare talk about it out loud.
Guilt. It always destroyed him in the end. He drummed his fingers once along her back, still looking at her. "It's really getting to me, I'm sorry but I've got to go look for them. Will you be alright?" He propped himself on his forearms so he could get a good look at her. The back of his neck still was sore... wait... if he'd been drifting out at sea, then how did he get all of these cuts?

Antony really didn't think that they were 'moving too fast' or anything, considering she had slept with Jamal the first time she met him. That and she wasn't exactly ashamed of being naked, much less with the 'naughty parts' covered. To her, this was just normal, a bit weird for reasons she couldn't place, but otherwise quite normal.
Aside from the whole, stranded on an island with a mad scientist while playing Survivor in a thunderstorm.
She watched him prop himself up, shifting slightly but frowning as she looked out at the relentless rain. "It's not letting up..." Trailing off, Antony paused and glanced back up at him, "Well... Steer clear of the jungle back that way," she motioned to the jungle behind them, "That's where our pit trap is."
That'd make for a really bad day.

Rex didn't have any problem with nudity or a little skin here or there. Things had always worked out fine with Julie, but ever since... well, things changed.
The fact that she wasn't holding him back eased some of his guilt for leaving her alone, but the rain didn't look very inviting at all. No, he couldn't like think that, S'just a little water, no biggie. "I'll be fine." He sighed and slowly came up to his feet, going to the little rack to start getting dressed. She motioned back to the same direction he'd come from, "Thank God, I missed it. That's the same direction I came from." Falling in some trap would've just made the day... well, really suck.
He slipped on his jeans and tightened belt, was he doing the right thing? Yes.
Rex came towards her with his arms outstretched and embrassed her in a big hug. "Thank you so much for your hospitality." Then he went back to finish getting dressed.

Antony watched him get up and get dressed, sitting up and leaning against the shelf while she took in the view. She was about to comment on the trap when she was pulled into a big hug.
She blinked.
It took her a moment to realize what was going on, and she returned the gesture, rubbing her hands up and down his back while she was pressed against him in the hug.
And then it was over.
Hugs usually only happened after bad s**t had happened. Like that one time on the beach with Jamal...
Or with her father.
Shaking the thoughts and strange feelings from her thoughts when he pulled away, Antony nodded and returned to sitting down, "If you ever need some body heat..." A sharkish grin formed with this comment as she looked up at him, "I'm easy to spot."
Oh, sex would be had. Just not yet.

"Body heat... heh," he repeated with a chuckle, "I'll be sure to keep that in mind." he pulled his shirt back over his head and hung his tie around his neck for good measure.
Rex took a few steps to the door and placed his hand on the side of the entryway. He looked over his shoulder and gave a friendly wink, "Catch ya later..." he flashed his pearly whites once more and embarked off into the buckets being drumped from overhead. I sure hope they've been fairing well.

It was several hours later and her clothes were still not dry enough to her liking, so Antony was still in the Beach Bar, absently watching the rain continue to fall. In fact, she had so much to do and was so busy, that she decided to break out one of her cigarettes.
She was smoking the treasured cancer stick at the moment, taking her time and savoring it down to the filter.
Hopefully wherever Jamal was, he was okay. Antony was starting to worry when he didn't show up during the night. Once she realized he wasn't there, or rather, once she fully woke up.
Frowning, she closed her eyes and sighed, taking another satisfying drag of her smoke.
Sweet sweet nicotine.

Jamal had never really went to sleep last night, unable to find a decently dry place to rest. He would have slept at camp, but he had tromped back the night the rainfall had started and discovered that Antony was quite happily cuddled up with some strange guy he had NEVER seen before. It might have been different if Jamal had some idea who this guy was, but he had no clue.
It struck him in an odd manner...maybe it was the fact that Rex was completely human or maybe because Jamal had a tendancy to 'claim' women as his (even more so now with his predatory instinct)...but he felt betrayed. She didn't seem concerned about him at all. She looked downright comfy there on the floor of the bar with this stranger. Jamal wasn't stupid; he knew what Antony's motive was.
Feeling somewhat brushed aside, he had went back into the jungle a ways and found shelter under a thickly branched tree which blocked some, but not all the rain. The noise on the foliage was too loud to allow him to sleep well, plus his mood was soured, so he had spent the night brooding. That, of course, was never a good thing for him to do.
When he did finally leave the jungle for the cold beach, he was still annoyed and decided to go wade in the ocean to get some of the mud off his legs and clothing that he had acquired on his travels. He didn't pay much attention to the camp or the bar, thus didn't see Antony sitting there with her cig.
