Kal-L Kara In-Ze Kal-L Kara In-Ze Kal-L Kara In-Ze *aims to sink a solid four, misses, and accidentally sinks a striped five. Uh, does that count as scoring? *continues to glare at Kal-L icily* alRIGHT!!! *pulls one of Kal-L's balls out from the rack and places it inconveniently on the table.* No more Ms. NiceKara. *bends down and aims for a shot that, if it goes well, should sink three solid balls. After almost a minute of careful calculation, Kara sends the cue flying toward her target, watching the balls bounce off the walls and, almost miraculously, going exactly as planned.* So there. blaugh

*sinks yet another solid into a pocket.... and another...*
Im just on a role here. Only one solid left... damn 12... *aims and holds her breath as she slides the cue toward that damn ball knowing there's no way it's going to get into a pocket... but maybe she can set it up for next time...
And just as suspected, the ball rolls to a stop, in line for Kara's next turn... if there will be one* sweatdrop

*Kal surveys the table, formulating a plan. He could zip back to the fortress and consult with Brainiac but she would see him go. He could win this round easily, only four balls need go but he was conflicted. Should he win or should he let Kara win? If he lost, so would his country and his people. Was his duty to his countryman or his adopted people. Clearly there was only one solution. Kal took a deep breath and closed his eyes before shooting.*
Oh my.
*He sunk three of the four, meaning that yet again he could win with just the seven and the elusive eight ball remaining this time. He deliberately missed again, hoping it wasn't too obvious.*

*Kal blinked* But... I wasn't trying to show off, I was leaving it up to chance! gonk
*He reached for the pool cue but felt something was wrong. The sound of rushing air greeted his ears and he turned to see a car flying through the front window of the bar at him. He easily caught the it, but the second car caught him off guard and sent him crashing into the pool table, smashing it. Enraged, Kal lifts himself up to see Gorilla Grod snorting at him from outside.*

I'll be back in a flash if you'll pardon the pun. *Picks up the iced Grodd and flies him to Arkham, returning to survey the damage.* Gee Ms. In-Ze, Mr. LeBeau's bar looks awfully smashed up. I'd do the repairs myself but I lack a woman's touch. Would you accompany me to Ikea? They're just full of versatile solutions for everyday life. 3nodding
