"The benefactor, and daughter, of the woman on the floor there." The hood came down, showing her face. Round like Meilikki's, but exotically cruel like her fathers.
"I am Delta." Blind eyes didn't bother looking down at Piper. She paused.
"Deidrich. Get out of my mother's blood, please? I would rather not waste it."

She breifly looked her over before she said anything. "Oh...you grew up fast." Hey they all knew...things...had happend to Meilikki, they just didn't want to talk about it. But wasn't this nice? Piper didn't care too much right now about too much. "I would congradulate you for your gains, but I'm sure you can see how I don't wish to at the moment. So what then...you're taking reins of something or other?" That happy return home feeling all but gone right now. She could still at least drop Fin and Leaf off she supposed.

Deidrich did as he was bid, lifting hismelf up with a groan and sitting beside Delta.
"Didn't have much of a choice. Fetus in a test tube and copious amounts of manipulation doesn't leave much time for anything, really."
"Indeed." She clenched a fist, little bits of flame spurted up from the hole in her mother's chest, staunched what little bleeding there was at this point. A wave, and the body floated, Delta lay her on the bed. She didn't muhc care about dirtying the sheets.
"Take your time. She was much closer to you, than to me. For obvious reasons."
She left just as Leaf anf Fin came back with the staff workers, who began cleaning up.
Deidrich watched his new mistress leave. "Mistress wanted to leave you something. But she owned little that would be of any importance to anyone. Besides the bracelet that Keely gave her." A pathetic little sniff from each head. "She wanted to keep that though."
Over to the vanity, grabbing something that lay there. He plopped it into Piper's hand. It was the ruby broach she wore at her throat. "That's the only thing she could think of."

"Well...she's blunt." Shaking her head lightly and going quiet for another moment before Deidrich decided that things needed to be done. Quietly she looked at the item placed in her palm before closing her hand around it. "It's fitting...I think she made the right choice." But a look to the animal, raising a hand to pat heads. "You can talk again...must means we did a good job..." Getting herself up she made her way over to the bed, sitting on it's edge. She watched the woman for a good five minutes before raising a hand to brush the hair out of Meilikki's face, brushing that same hand then over her eyes to close them. "Goodbye my friend...at least you can have the solace that your surface seed is planted. Mayhaps I'll come across your soul one day..." Putting the choker in her pocket she was quiet again for a bit before looking to Leaf and Fin. "Would you like a ride back to your village?" Better to keep the mind occupied right now. Oh the folly of befriending humans.

"That is up to the females he chooses to consort with now isn't it? But it certainly won't be any females from Andal, I can promise you that." She shook her head and crossed her arms. "You said yourself he's a handsome boy, takes after his father." She paused for a moment, letting her eyes roam over Khaiver's form. "I believe most probably take after their fathers, such is the way of elves." Oh yes, she knew. She'd taken one long look at Khaiver and saw Sevilin stamped all over him. She didn't think Sevilin knew, however, so she was couching the remark in a purely offhandish one.
Zykariel was not a happy child. He saw the grandfather he'd just found slipping through his fingers as fast as he'd gotten him. "Maybe you should say you're sorry first, Daddy. You mighta upset him too?"

"Cafellians I always thought were better than Llothians." Giving her a grin and crossing his arms over his chest and shrugged. "I took after my mother, personally." Hm, she had spitfire written all over her, and he was amused again, but he turned his eyes to Sevilin. "Women still looking out for you? I knew Malik was lying to me." After all, Zahara made it seem that he wasn't to handle his own battles.
"I'm not the one who's done wrong." Shifitng the child in his hold before he gritted his teeth, shooting a look to Khaiver. "Enough of you..." And he then stepped in front of Zahara, interposing himself between the two and wached the woman a moment. "Zahara please...leave it alone." He needed to find out what Zykariel had been told, but he wasn't going to throw Zahara to the wolf either.

Deidrich nodded. "She is not like her mother. She just looks like her."
"I just wish she had had a chance to see the stars. It was her only regret in life." He laid his head on the side of the bed.
Lefa and Fin shook thier heads. "We will walk back. A chance to clean ourselves up along the way will present itself. We Will pay our proper respects in better attire, at her funeral. As is best fitting strangers like us." They bowed.
"Till we meet agian, Piper." They took their leave.

"You would seeing as how you are one. Only natural to elevate yourself above the others. Elven pride and all." She was less than pleased when Khaiver tried to use her actions against Sevilin and that was the only reason she backed down. "But..." Glancing at his face and finally nodding. "Very well." Thus she stepped back and turned her attention back to the little boy.
Zykariel looked between all the adults in the room and then over at Khaiver. "Have you tried saying you're sorry yet? But you gotta mean it or it doesn't count and then you have to go sit down and think about what you've done before saying it again. Maybe that will help?"

She nodded to Leaf and Fin then looked to Deidrich again. "And I was the one who was supposed to bring them to her...perhaps it's only right that I didn't get a proper goodbye from her." Cosmic joke she was sure. But a look to the talking dog once more and she pet his heads as she walked by. "I won't be at the funeral...but she knows of my feelings." That was something she couldn't do, it would be too hard and she was feeling guilty enough. "I'll be in touch..." Thus she quietly left the room, and walked out the house, back to Serino whom she gave a pet. "You can rest...I'll walk home..." Well...when there wasn't water to cross that was. Needed some time to think.
"No, it's fact. Llothians are just worse. But why argue it...it isn't like you would agree anyway, you're merely wasting your breath." Though intrigued as Zahara listened to Sevilin...cute he grew a backbone of some sorts...or brought her to his heel. Would snoop. But a look to the child. "I'm sorry boy, but I don't think any good will come from this. Stubborn and all."
"Hush Zykariel." For some reason this boy was set on apologies being exchanged so that meant that Khaiver had certinally said something that was important to know. A glare back at Khaiver before he put a hand on Zahara's shoulder, giving her a little pressue to know that it was time to get away from this particular elf.

She wanted to spin around and snap at him again. He just thought he was so big and bad now didn't he? But she swallowed any remarks she wanted to make in light of that gentle pressure and reached up taking the boy from his father. "Come on Kariel. Let's go make up the bed and clean the room, then we'll get breakfast." She knew Sevilin would either stand there with Khaiver or follow her upstairs or go back to his scouting. She'd leave that one up to him.
Zykariel was less than pleased to be shushed and he crossed his arms nad wiggled in his father's grasp, trying to be put down. Though a moment later he was held by his mother and his attention was diverted. "You promised Khai that you would make cookies with us today too. We gotta find him and make 'em Mommy."

The staff prepared Meilikki's body for the funeral, which was later announcedto be in three days time.
Leaf and Fin took their time getting back, used the hospitality of the Honoursfeild manor to clean up (because they stil had lots of the wonderful goo about them) before heading back to the peninsula. Leaf especially was excited to inform the cheif of their long time dream come true.

The little elf in question was still upstairs in his parents room, quietly trying to help teach a little draithix to walk in boots as his father was still in reverie in the bed.
Sevilin looked over his shoulder. "Leave my son alone...that's your one warning..."
"And your...wife?"
"Don't lay a hand on her either..." Giving a snicker before walking off after Zahara. "I told you...if you want me, then you will leave once this business with Malik is done. I don't need you disrupting my family." As far as he was concerned they were done talking at this moment. Thus he made his way to the other two drow. "Zykariel, what did he tell you."
Piper had already made it across the water...but currently she was sitting on the bank, elbows resting on drawn up knees, head on her arms. She had been crying for a good ten minutes...but it was a quiet cry she was having herself. Needed to get it out. Why did it all have to fall apart like that? Why? It was all so hard to process. Even more so when you were filthy and exhausted. A pet to Serino as he prodded her lightly. "In a moment..."

"Hello, Drow Scum." He greated the Vesandarian guardsmen. "Are you prepaired to give up your life of sin, and return to the flock?" The melodic voice sounded rather aloof, or maybe just uncaring.
The guard turned his head to see what was talking to him, but he could not see anything but a small spider spining on a web. He laughed and he hacked it with his melee weapon.
"Wrong move." The voice said quite clearly. The gaurd found that it was coming from the other direction, and he spun about to face off with this new threat. He again, saw nothing. Rather thrown back by this turn of events, he could only come to two conclusions. The first conclusion, was he was going mad. The second, someone was playing a trick on him.
The former was an impossibility, the later more likely. He kept his gaurd high. Being a well trained soldier from a drow city meant that it would take more than apparaitions to bring his astute warrior senses down.
"Gloin Esstay Wesp Raydric Estoc" The voice said erieely to the soldier. This came from yet again, another direction.
"Children should not leave the mother's hive until they are able to stand on their own." This sounded from a whisper, perhaps right next to the guardsmen. He tried to turn his head to look at who was talking to him, but found that he did not have the strength in him to do so. His torso split from his legs, his armour cute straight through without a noise. His right forarm fell from his shoulder, as his chest split from the clavical. His left arm simple fell free. All this, without the gaurd noticing, or being able to scream. His bloodied throat was punctured at the voicebox. His eyes tried to focus on who did this to him, but all he could make out was the white hair, and black skin.
The assaliant seemed pleased with himself, and vanished from the site of the crime. The few traces of his presence were limited to the sheers left in the rocks near the guard where the weapons stroked against the stone. He didn't care though. It would be easier if the heritics would come to him.
Then again, why would they with the vetren gaurd so bloodily defeated without signs of a struggle. The tracks clearly visible for all to see show his confusion as clearly as night is different from day. A rank amature tracker would know that someone beyond this gaurd slew him for the joy of it. The professional tracker would notice the dead spider smiten by the gaurds weapon. A drow would make the connections quiet readily.

Zahara was smoothing down sheets and plumping pillows when Sevilin reappeared in the room. She took one look at him and then down at her son who was standing there as though he was in trouble. "You aren't in trouble little one. Just answer your father with the truth."
Zykariel shifted his weight and scuffed his toe against the floor. "He said that you were real surprised to see him and that you were really mad at him. He also said he had a crate of stuff to trade with Mr. Malik. Daddy, how come you don't want to forgive him? You always forgive me when I've been bad. And Mommy too." His hands moved behind his back and he started playing with them. "Does that mean if I ever do something really really really bad you won't forgive me either?" Yup, still had that ready to cry look.
It really was too bad that the children lived at Twilight for had they been near Vesendar they would have seen firsthand what Malik was talkign about. The blood and ravaged flesh drew the bane of hte Underdark, the carrion worms. Two of them erupted from the ground and began to devour what was left of the slaughtered drow, greedily drinking the blood and fluids and tearing even more flesh. They calmly finished their meal then took what was left of the body underground, burrowing under the earth and disrupting the nice little trail that had been left.

Sevilin took a breath, covering his face with his hand a moment to get himself into a better mindset. He couldn't handle this, he merely couldn't. Okay, take another breath or two and then he crouched down to the child's level. "No, that's not what that means Zykariel." How to explain this without going down too dark a road. "Listen...when I was still little Khaiver hurt me very very badly. And he's never been sorry for it...he...was a bully." There we go, there was something to use.
