well my computer is functional mostly.....i seem to have lost a drivers disk for the motherboard.....at least that is the only reason i can think of for it not being able to connect to the internet. Though the computer itself is working but yea no internet so still am using my dad's old laptop. I made it more tolerable with internet access by getting opera.
Well i have read up and seemed to not have missed much. Well other than that was a funny page otome put up lol

did you update internet explorer? because that has killed many a computer's internet connection while leaving the computer intact.

right. looks like someone updated internet explorer. if you use windows, internet explorer contains parts of your internet protocol. even if you don't use it, deleting or in some way messing it up will still effect you. at least in xp and earlier according to joel.

well aria it isnt a bad network adapter since the laptop is working just fine on the exact same cord. though like i said i dont know where the disk is for the drivers for the motherboard. so yea that is all i can think of being the issue. problem is i cant download them off the internet and transfer it via usb since the website dosnt have the drivers for download but a program that just scans your system and download them from the internet. So it is rather useless for me. I am just mostly venting right now the thing i wanna do is take it down to like best buy or someplace and tell them to fix it.

the network adapter isn't the chord, nor the modem, nor the rest. it is the device responsible for allowing the computer to understand the chord. It would be on the main driver disk that came with your computer, which you have lost.
and yeah. you would have to pay to have it fixed then.
sorry....that doesn't read well.
