Oassu tilted his head suddenly confused "Wait...Zadina's mother was executed?" he said surprised before the doors opened and Oassu smiled politely "You'll need to tell me more on that later..." he whispered to Felina quickly before greeting the other royals "Sorry we are running late, I'm not sure Zadina will be joining us tonight" he said.

Zadina shook his head "Not at all, I used to play with it all the time when younger so I know how it works but don't worry I was planning on casting a spell for your ears anyway because I know how the noises bother Viera" he said sighing as they reached the top floor where a tall old door stood. Heaving it open they walked into a rather cluttered observatory. Zadina looked up through the glass dome ceiling "Well this is the observatory, it's even colder up here because of the height though" Zadina murmured pulling his cloak tighter around himself while he went over to a control panel to fiddle with some buttons. "You'll want to stand on the centre platform there" he added pointing the large platform the telescope was on in the centre of the room.

Jeckhart gave Hebal a sad look "Well if they scare you so much perhaps it's best if you don't watch them, it looks like you wouldn't be the only one" he said looking back at the now mostly-isolated dance hall where a couple of the Viera guests had remained "The weird smoke smell must also be a problem for you huh?" he asked folding his arms across his chest for warmth as they stepped outside.

Felina nodded managing to whisper "I'll tell you more another time. Its not a happy story and don't want to ruin the mood" before stepping inside behind her mother. "Sorry we were late. You slipped out so quietly and we were having so much fun dancing that we didn't even notice you left until people were all going for the lower balconies" she explained noting that her father had changed his robes.

"Well better late than never and a couple of minutes delay never harmed anyone. Basically I set of the first firework with my magic which signals for the people below to start off the rest of the display and then during the finale I summon the dragon, everyone goes wow and then the party starts to wind down. Pretty much the same as every other year yet people never seem to grow tired of it" Elorin chuckled.

Amane simply stood there amazed by the sudden change in location. "Oh right yes I'll put the ear plugs in and if you shout from up here I bet nobody would hear us" she eventually answered fumbling about for where she had put the ear plugs. "You keep the cloak, I have my own built in jacket that you don't after all and your spell makes it feel better so the chill in the wind isn't as bad. I just never imagined elves were into machinery like this platform is"

Hebal nodded reaching into her dress pulling out the earplugs she had stored within her bra. "Of course I am going to be ok. It's going to take more than a bit of loud noise to harm me" she assured him slipping them in her ears. "So I am guessing Bahamut will show at the end? I bet he wouldn't like flying through fireworks" she added in a raised voice now her hearing was reduced.

Oassu smiled politely "Why thank you Corella, I've always been pretty light on my feet but it's difficult seeing as it's a dance I've never really done before though I've been studying the dances in advance anyway just in case" he explained to Corella turning to watch the first firework.

Zadina tilted his head in thought as he remembered his teachings "Well King Artyan was an odd king to some, he got on especially well with the moogle king back then and like I said they built it for him then," he explained patting the ground beside him inviting Amane to sit down with him "I spent a good bit of time exploring the Castle when I was younger and one of the old scholars assigned to maintaining this tower showed me how it worked" he said wiggling his feet over the edge of the platform waiting for the show to begin.

Jeckhart smiled "I imagine fireworks probably wouldn't be a deterrent to a great being like Bahumut but yes he'll probably be saved for the finale, I'll confess I've never actually seen a summoning before in my life. It must be really difficult to do, especially for one like Bahumut" he said slightly louder for Hebal's sake as he strained his eyes to see over the lights.

Felina laughed putting her arm around Oassu's waist "What you really mean is that I have trained you well in the ways of elven dancing in what little time we have had to practice" she joked almost jumping despite having expected the huge wave of fireworks that soon followed her fathers. "Besides you must be a really good dancer yourself by now Corella for I think you must have danced with everyone male tonight at the party" she also teased her sister.

Corella shrugged smiling to hear the applause below "I was just being nice and social. Plus I like dancing unlike most of the people at this dance who either don't like it or are worried they will offend their partners if spending too long apart from them" she complained.

Hebal squealed delighted to see a lot of the fireworks taking some dragon related forms across the sky "I would think that summoners would be very careful or could pick maybe where the summons appeared from. I thought coming from the clan, you may have been able to see a few summoners at work since your such a magically focused group. But you must admit they really must have a big budget here" she grinned watching a firework of a dragon spit out a second firework before disappearing "Or they just have a lot of magic too I guess."

Amane's mouth hung open in awe barely registering Zadina's words "Oh my these are truly spectacular and we are only just beginning the show. Now if only they could work on making them less noisy. I'm sure with the right amount of money you can build anything or at least that's the impression I feel like Im getting at the moment from this places. Though being an elf, don't you have years of free time to learn extra stuff?"

Oassu nodded "Good thing he got to give Amane a proper dance, feel sorry for her kinda after being out of her forest like that I imagine it'll feel more like a prison than ever when she gets home, still hopefully it'll provide her with more incentive to finish her training" he said smiling at the fireworks in wonderment "So are they mostly magical? I didn't think elves handled gunpowder at all since it was a dwarven invention and bad for forests" he asked.

Jeckhart shook his head "Summons don't belong in the demon world, as such we are...incapable of connecting with them in the way that summoners do. From what I've heard it's not something that sheer magical ability can do," he said shrugging not entirely sure of the mechanics behind summoning "In any case Demons just can't connect with summons" he said smiling slightly as he saw another firework burst into a fleet of colourful birds.

Zadina bit his lip in thought "It's not quite so easy, I have learned a lot and yes I've had a lot of time, but I think we learn things at different rates so it balances out. Look at Viera and humans after all, most humans have finished all their training and education by age 30ish at latest I think" he mentioned "So they learn quickly but I have read a lot of books in my time, I just didn't spend too much time up here, Astronomy isn't particularly interesting to me" he said recognising a firework of an old Elvish King.

Elorin shook his head leaning upon his staff while shook her head "Oh we know how to use gun powder properly. This is a combination of a little bit of gunpowder and magic. Combing science and magic is where most investments are at the moment in Yithra. Those birds for example wouldn't be possible through normal gunpowder. Though I don't know how it all works, you would have to ask the people who are setting them off" he admitted.

Felina paused "Well actually I don't know how Amane would feel. According to Hebal it feels really horrible when viera leave their forest because of their connection to it. Might be mixed emotions when she returns and might need a little rest from all the excitement too. I bet she's tired herself out so much the past couple of days" she laughed.
