Vincent spoke up, "No nurse wears highheels, unless she's from the fifties. This isn't your first day and it takes just one day to find out that heels are rediculas to wear for a job that wants you to stand for most of your time." He didn't change in his expression, "So who are you really? Hired gun?"

"Hired gun?" Laura said, looking surprised. "Why I never!" Laura snapped. "I wear heels because I like them, not because of the job." Laura looked away toward the ground, blushing slightly "My older sister always told me that heels make me look sexy, and that a man never resists a woman in stilettos."

Vincent crossed his arms unsympathedic, "I said drop the act. If you were here for a nursing job, you wouldn't tempt sexual harassment. And that's disreguarding the fact that stilettos, let alone high heels in general, hurt."
He leaned forward, "Also some men can resist stilettos. might want to file that away for future reference."

"Not after 15 years of wearing them." Laura replied. "And I know that. If they really couldn't resist stilettos, then I'd have a boyfriend. I just don't feel womanly without them. Leave me and my heel fetish alone, ok? My professors back home already mess with me enough for them."

Vincent wasn't buying it. He went over to door that Rose was in surgery.
What kind of a woman can run in stilettos with ease? He made sure he still had his gun.
