@ Eiyma
surprised You just caught me before I was about to go to bed.
Doing good, just recovering from computer problems.
My computer just doesn't want to download the new Microsoft service pack 3 update. mad Among other issues it started acting weird so I just gave up and decided to do an overhaul.
I ended up backing up all the stuff I couldn't replace from my hard drive then wiped it and have been reinstalling all the programs that I have back onto it. I'm still not done yet. This has been going on for a few days now... sweatdrop

This is Screaming PhotoOp Eiyma This is Screaming PhotoOp Eiyma "photoop" is stuck up here in PC, and *if* she opts to go to school, will have to go to GCCC (Gulf Coast, as she said) stare I don't have to go to GCCC... well, technically, no, you *don't* but where else would you go if you stayed here? I wouldn't -have- to go anywhere! I'm sure we've all seen the ads for the University of Pheonix (sp?). 3nodding Online college, ftw! Lol, there's a University of Phoenix down the road from UCF. I think it's called University of Phoenix at Orlando. confused

Blufoo Yeah, it's a new update. I can't install it for some reason. confused What is happening that is preventing it from installing? Is there an error code that pops up somewhere? We just did all 5 of the computers in our house (3 through wireless connections) with no errors and all in the same day. Not bragging - it just seems strange. King does this service pack all the time to update computers for work and it never seems to glitch.

Queen of the Blue Twins Zelexia I hardly qualify asbeing alive, I slept from 11am - 8pm, was woken up, went out to dinner (breakfast for me but dinner for my friend and brother), puttered around, talked on the phone for a while, then slept again from 3am - 9am, read a few short story manga to clear my head, then finally decided to come here after discharging my duty as a mod for another forum. I was so lacking in sleep that after 9 hours of rest I was only up 7 hours before crashing again for another 6. Honestly I ran on inadequate sleep all week and worked while sick (work + flu + no bathroom break = Misery) on Saturday and Sunday. I felt like hell Monday, and was told I looked accordingly. I feel much improved today though. Good to hear your rough week is over and you are getting back to normal. 3nodding *hugs for having such a yucky week* Thank you, I'm sure I'll be able to face work tonight, I just wish I didn't have to face my recently demoted manager. She was bumped from hiring manager to a mid-level night supervisor. To be honest I'm a might bit afraid of her and I was really happy that I successfully avoided her for over a year by working nights, but now I have to see her 3 days a week and I'm really nervous. She's the sort that never forgets a single grudge and will continue to go after you long after the hurt should have faded... Fun times... sweatdrop Not quite sure what I should do, any ideas on how to at least smooth things over?

That's a tough one. Since alot depends on the company you work for. If it's big one like Wal-Mart or something then take the high road, be very sweet as if nothing happened and give her time to settle down. I personally would keep track of what happened. Something specific that seemed mean for no reason or was a response to a slight from the past I would write down and see if things get better or worse. If she does something mean just because she can as your supervisor, march your butt to the personnel office and file a complaint. Keep it strickly professional, factual, and NOT personal. If she's doing it to you she's doing it to others, and someone will find that out and handle it accordingly. If it's smaller like a mom and pop family owned business you might have less options. If she's part of the family you may be screwed and need to find a different job. If the company is somewhere in between (like most companies are) see Wal-mart. There is almost always a chain of command. and because you are on the low end of the totem pole doesn't mean she's on the top. If she's been demoted that means there is at least one person over her and somewhere you can turn to. People like this that create situations like this, create hostile work environments and it is actually illegal. But, hard as hell to prove as most of the people that get caught in the middle get too emotional to think rationally when it counts the most. Keep your cool. Know your rights. ALWAYS keep it professional.
Hope that helped. But if you take nothing else from all that - take this - keep the high road of professionalism and you will have nothing to fear when you can honestly say you have done nothing wrong to bring this on.

Well, I have returned to the US of A. And, while most people would be relieved to return to air conditioning, potable water, and people who obey traffic lights, I miss being there. We did alot of good things for them kids.
