I hardly qualify asbeing alive, I slept from 11am - 8pm, was woken up, went out to dinner (breakfast for me but dinner for my friend and brother), puttered around, talked on the phone for a while, then slept again from 3am - 9am, read a few short story manga to clear my head, then finally decided to come here after discharging my duty as a mod for another forum.
I was so lacking in sleep that after 9 hours of rest I was only up 7 hours before crashing again for another 6. Honestly I ran on inadequate sleep all week and worked while sick (work + flu + no bathroom break = Misery) on Saturday and Sunday. I felt like hell Monday, and was told I looked accordingly. I feel much improved today though.

Eiyma This is Screaming PhotoOp Eiyma "photoop" is stuck up here in PC, and *if* she opts to go to school, will have to go to GCCC (Gulf Coast, as she said) stare I don't have to go to GCCC... well, technically, no, you *don't* but where else would you go if you stayed here? I wouldn't -have- to go anywhere! I'm sure we've all seen the ads for the University of Pheonix (sp?). 3nodding Online college, ftw!

photo op -- careful with those online schools.... the pell and many others do not recognize them as accredited schools. what does that mean ? it means that if you start with one of those schools and then decide to switch mid stream into a university or even a community college your credits will not count and you will have to start over. It also means that you will be paying for it all on your own as they can only get financing for you thru some of the pricier loans like stafford who have higher interest rates and can take your income tax refunds (or your parents) if you default for any reason. Be very very leary of them. Those are great for post grad work that is based off a degree you earned at a regular college but not much else.
The fine print is that the fine print is too much to understand and can change at whim.
Just a word of advice from someone who has been burned by a similar school and is still paying off that mistake while I start over to get my degree at a REAL college.

This is Screaming PhotoOp Oh wow! The only online school I've ever done(and ever will) is Florida Virtual School. That was for some highschool credit, though That is a different set up and is run by the state so yeah, it's safe and counts. But again is only for high school too. Sorry, don't mean to scare you or sound too much like the mom I am, I just warn people when I can. Though i did realize you weren't serious in the next post, never hurts to throw it out there.

Always make sure the school is accredited. If it loses it accreditation while you are attending then they have to find another school with a similar program that is accredited for you.
