"Did he mention me?" She still didn't know for sure if Khaiver had seen her and her son when she'd gone outside to get a closer look and found him shaken and stirred up. Damn her eyes, they gave her and Zykariel's relationship away immediately. She knew they were evil even if Sevilin didn't agree. "He's the Queen's personal lapdog. He holds the place of honor of all males in his society. Maybe it's gone to his head." She had a sinking feeling things weren't going to be nearly that easy though. "That's fine with me. Come on." Turning back she headed to their original spot, having gleaned the information she'd wanted from him.
They spoke about trust an awful lot and he kinda connected that it was necessary for people to trust each other to really love each other. Which meant his parents didn't and that was rather sad now wasn't it? "Too late now, they're already married." Mommy was willingly playing the game and so was Daddy therefore it was all good.
He blinked for a moment as Yinn decided to be acrobatic and then frowned, staring at Malikhai's arm. "It looks broken!" His eyes widened. "Yinn! You broke Malikhai's arm! Mr. Malik!"

Malik got himself up and looked at Malikhai's arm.
"It's not broken. Draithix have a venom in thier claws, remember? his claws got through your tunic when the horse startled him, that's all. it's probably nothing serious, but I'll get Zahara and see what she thinks about it. it's probably not a good idea I guess to keep Yinn out here around the horses. he's skittish around them."
before standing up and raising his voice in that manner that said someone better be coming shortly if they can hear it.
"Zahara! we have an incident here that needs your attention!"

Leaf shrugged, eeny meeny miny moo'ed it, and chose the furthest to the left. As they swam down it, trying in their minds to figure out if they were actually going down it or up it or...side it. ahead of them, long strands of pearly thread clung to one side of the wall, and floated outwards. They shawn with a strang luminesance that seemed to be puposely aluring.
The stopped, and stared at the thread a moment, wonering what to do about it. A fish swam by them casually, allured by the lights. It touched the thread, and suddenly struggled as if in pain, warpping itself in the threads as it went.
As it settled, a large...larvea type thing detached it's comoflaged self from the wall and started snacking on the fish.
The three turned and found their way back to the intersection.

"No he didn't mention you." Which was probably a good thing because Sevilin didn't need Khaiver trying to add Zahara into the mix too...it was all too much and stressful enough as it was for him...it was like he was in constant flight response mode. "Place of honor...if one can call it that." Shaking his head lightly before following her back toward the stables, ears twitching as Malik's yell. "Never dull..."
He was not happy at all, even more so when Zykariel surmised that he may now have a broken arm...but it didn't feel broken, just kinda...hung there all limp and numb feeling. He tried to move it a few times, but his shoulder wasn't working and it wasn't working all the way down to his fingers. Though daddy went about calming that all down right quick, now didn't he? A look over to Yinn, who thought he was cameoflauged in some hay. "Yinn needs to wear shoes..." And at his father's yelling...well he was his father's son..."Zahara! My arm don't work!"
Right they....were just gonna go back this way...yeah. Okay...that wasn't the right way....joy more time underwater to be water logged...hm, she was wondering how they were originally going to breath under water if it hadn't been for Malik. But back to deciding...might as well take the middle...always seemed like a good place to go. Thus it was down another dark tunnel for them. Already hating the water temple.

By the gods what had those boys done now? She picked up speed and swept the child off his feet, lifting him into her arms and carrying him over to the bench that held buckets and such when needed. Setting him down, she smoothed his hair and nodded. "Let me see." The tears on his tunic and the small traces of liquid around the cuts clued her in really quick. She'd read up on draithix after all. "Ah, Yinn got you didn't he? That's alright, we'll get it taken care of and then you'll be just fine. Does it hurt?" She gave him a cursory check over just to make sure nothing else was hurt and then lifted him up again, cuddling him. She needed to take him inside to doctor both the slight scrapes and give him the potion that would counteract the numbing agent in the draithix's claws. She carried him into the house and up the stairs, grabbing what she needed before heading into the bathroom. There she pulled off his tunic and lightly sponged at the scrapes on his back, handing him a vial. "Drink it all Malikhai or your arm won't work again. Does it hurt really bad?"
Zykariel was worried and he went running out to meet his mother and father saying the same thing, then just stuck close by Daddy's side. Tugging on his father's arm, he whispered, "Malikhai's got to have health doesn't he?" Then a grin, "But then he gets a cookie!" Thus tugging at his father's hand. "Come on Daddy. We gotta go make sure he's okay." And the child took off into the house, popping up next to the two in the bathroom. "He's gonna be okay, right?"

Well, everyone was back in the house, safe and sound and Zahara would tend to Malikhai's scratches. though Malik picked up Yinn, and took a look at his claws.
"We'll have to do something about that. maybe find some way to make them immune or something."
before taking the draithix inside and letting it go, moving to find Khavier.
"Have the shipments arrived yet? and have they verified if the Rainsong is coming?"

Sevilin shook his head...kids, they just got into everything, but he followed back inside, and after Zahara, mostly to keep eye on his own child. He picked the boy up in the bathroom, pulling him away and holding him so he would be out of the way. "He'll be fine...just a little Draithix venom...and I'm sure there's not enough toxin in there to be deadly...maybe a fever..or maybe nothing, seeing as it's still a pup." A look over to two other draithix pups who had been attracted by that particular scent. A dozen of those things around the house was too many...and just wait till they started breeding...
And look at that he didn't even have to walk anywhere at all, he was duely picked up and carried inside. No the scartches on his shoulder were barely anything at all, and were no cause of tears from the boy, after all, "No, it doesn't hurt...I can't feel any of it." Draithix poison...paralytic anestetic with a hint of true poison in it...well at least only a hint when it came to Yinn, he was still a pup. An unhappy look at the vial he was handed, but he merely pinched his nose and then downed it, making a face at the taste. "Icky.."
Yinn twisted his head as Malik picked him up from the hay he was hiding in, at a particularly painful looking angle. He got two clicks and what sounded like a chitter and a yip mixed together. And then he squired a moment, then duely took to licking his now wet paws as he was carried inside, though he took to trailing after Malik when he was put down...he smelled like Malikhai.
Khaiver had his attention arbitratily turned to the goings on in the house...awful lot of people being crammed into this place, and the surrounding kingdom like state was practically empty, or so he gathered from his exploring previous to coming to the fortress itself. But it turned over to Malik. "You've no patience have you? Give the woman till at least tomorrow...she's not as spry as usual. Eager to have me out of your home, Malik?" Though his eyes did look down at the creature who came to sniff at his boots, giving a kick at it, only to make the draithix yelp and scamper back to hide behind Malik's books. "Ah, I see you have Draithix here..."

"Yes we do. I'm planning to breed them. they can make very effective little scouts and pets."
though picking up yinn and holding him like one might a cat, petting him lightly.
"Come now. a Queen should have better response time, due to the fact she can literally command a nation to get things done, despite her personal condition."
though this 'condition' was sounding very nice. something exploitable.
"though I have heard that you drow have nearly hunted these to extinction. care to tell me why, considering thier relatively harmless as pups, and could probably be trained to make decent wardogs?"

Zahara gave him a smile, "Yup, it is. But it does it's job and that's what I'm going for here." His cuts didn't even need to be bandaged though she put one on him just in case. Children were forever getting hurt over their previous hurts. She picked the boy up once again and retrieved a new tunic for him, slipping it over his head and brushing him off. "There you are. Good as new." Feeling his forehead, she frowned. "Alright Malikhai, you can't go play just yet because you have a slight fever but that will go away in no time. Let's go get some cookies and milk to wash out that icky taste." Lifting him back up into her arms before a grin to her son. "Coming Kariel?"
Zykariel's hand came to rest on his father's braid, holding tightly as he watched his mother fix his friend's arm. That was kinda scary, wasn't it? "Because little bites don't hurt as much as bigger bites."
He gave his mother a grin and nodded. Like he would ever turn down cookies. Silly mommy. "Come on Daddy, let's go get cookies and milk. And you can have some too because you haven't eaten like you were supposed to yet. At least I don't remember seeing you."

Nasty little creatures, those draithix...annoying as sin as well. "Because they make better accessories, armor and weapons when they're dead...problem with the draithix is that they're willful...and well, they live in our Depths mostly, they have to put up with us. Their breeding rate just can't keep up with it. Though it seems the rumors of late are true...get those for Silvercrest I assume." A shrug, but then a smirk to Malik. "Aw, and you were so 'hospitable' earlier, now you're getting all push and shove. Come now, am I really doing that much damage while I'm here? After all, I'm not the one with the problem with me, am I?"
He watched Zahara...nothing to worry about, the boy should be fine unless he had some sort of adverse reaction to things. "You might want to sling that arm when we get down to the kitchen...draithix venom is half paralytic, and anestetic...it'll just end up whacking him in the face." Which was funny and at the same time not. But he let his son pull him along and made one of those noises of slight annoyance. "Right...the eating thing..."
Malikhai let her fix him up, though it was a little odd. Mommy and daddy usually took care of him but this time Zahara was doing it. A blink. "I don't get fevers." Because to him, fevers meant that he was sick and well...he'd never really been germy sick since he was elven. A frown at no playing. "Okay...I suppose the cookie make up for it." And a look around as she walked. "Where's daddy?"

""I'm not pushing and shoving yet. when I push and shove, you'll know it. because it will probably involve you bleeding, or something being sent back to show my impatience. I find it a bit...unusual, for a powerful figure such as a queen, with a runemage sister, and obvious easy access to both Zephyrs and Nightmares for transport, not to mention a legion I'm sure of guards, soldiers, personal servants...to take longer than say..four hours to deliver one crate of items that should be very easily accessable, three vials of blood that her sister can extract virtually without any pain or real injury. that shouldn't take but maybe fourty-five minutes to get together and fully prepare for shipping. the spider I'd wager at most, three hours. I'm well aware the Inthra house has an affinity for the creatures. Lateef probably gave her a response, or is on his way, within fifteen to thirty minutes of receiving her request."
petting the drathix some more.
"So unless large spiders are unbelievably rare in your underdark, Or Mahlari is just being lazy or obstinant due to our previous encounter, things should either be here or should be well on thier way. in either case, you should have been informed in order to inform me so that the necromancer I am sending with you is fully ready and prepared for his trip there nad what is expected of him, along with any items he may need or may be useful for any assigned task dealing with the finding and interrogation of these souls you wish to have questioned."
a slight smirk.
"did I miss something in there?"

Zahara nodded, "We'll take care of that then." She smoothed the boy's hair and smiled, "He's taking care of some business that needed his attention briefly, little one. He'll be down to check on you shortly." Why he'd left she'd never know. He just didn't seem to understand that he was all Malikhai had right now. Her hands weren't the same as his father's. She easily splinted the boys arm to keep it from moving while the effect of the draithix venom wore off and sat both boys down with milk and cookies, tousling his hair.
Zykariel stayed pretty much silent, just picking up a cookie and beginning ot eat it. He didn't like it when his friend got hurt or upset. It made him feel like he hadn't protected him well enough. Thus he picked up that glass and a cookie and crawled into his father's lap.

"Ever the one threatening, even to those that come to you defenseless to a point and asking favors. No wonder your PR skills are forever down in the dirt." A light chuckle, no he wasn't afraid to offend Malik or anything. Khaiver had quite the backbone in him when it came down to things. "Remember D'vinn...we're not in your world, that one runs by it's own, which you may not even like but you do have to tolerate in the name of a contract."
But a little surprised look. "Now you're going to throw the Intharas into it? So what if they do, so do a dozen and a half other Houses...reliable little depths creatures after all. Besides, do you think Mahlari kind enough to inform those five where thier dear brother is? That is information that is oh so useful to keep to one's self...I'm sure you know all about that. Your assumptions do amuse me ever so much."
But he watched Malik for a moment, before pulling out a scroll and threw it to him. "But since you've been such a good sport thus far...word of confirmation for both your items being crated and sent, and for Rainsongs agreement to come down here and pay a visit. Will that suffice you until tomorrow?"
And the children had gone quiet, and he had a suspicion that the cookie and milk weren't the entire cause of such things like that. A bat to his son's puffy hair as the boy crawled into his lap and he took a moment to pull Nym from his tunic and set him on the table so the boy could lean back without crushing him, and meanwhile he let his free hand pet the furry tired thing.
He didn't look so satisfied with the answer, seemed with mommy's leaving that meant that daddy was back in charge of the house. When daddy was in charge of the house, he had important things to do that took a lot of time and he couldn't always be around. Information that he knew by heart from mommy having told him....but with all that happening, mommy had also been there to fill in the gaps that daddy left. And no, Zahara and Sevilin weren't the same. But her let her sling his arm and then he went about dipping a cookie in the milk that was brought as well. Nothing better than a soggy cookie when you were feeling down.

"the Inthra house is merely the one I am most familiar with, which is why I mention them. and I wasn't threatening, merely stating the truth. many find that my impatience usually has someone dead or injured."
though he caught the scroll without thought, holding it open and reading it over.
"Yes, that will hold me over until tomorrow. So, have you managed to have the conversation you wanted with Sevilin?"
though after this answer he'd be heading back to Malikhai.

Zahara knew better as well. Those boys were both unhappy and there was not a damn thing she could do to make it better. That just burned her up. She sat down at the table and pulled out her dagger, fiddling with it to keep herself busy. What she dearly wanted to do was drive that dagger through Malik's black heart and she didn't particularly care if he knew that's how she was feeling either. Nothing should be more important than his son and Malikhai was feeling it too. Her gaze skittered over to Sevilin who was holding their son who didn't look any happier and she sighed and shook her head. "You let me know if your arm starts to hurt anything, okay Malikhai?"
Zykariel set his milk down on the table so it didn't spill on his father's pants since he knew how much he hated that and he took to quietly eating his cookie before breaking off a piece and pushing it up to Sevilin's lips. That would suffice Mommy to make sure Daddy stayed fed. After though he did lean back against the strong chest and let out one of those full body sighs.
