Kiketsu had remained silent in the background the entire time not drawing attention to himself. Amazing by his physical features that no one noticed, yet at the same time a stealthy and quiet snake can get around easier unnoticed than a loud, restless shark. His lime eyes had noticed the blood eye youth, the energy fish, the boy who had silver blonde hair, the other boy whose skin was as pale as his, another who had a love for orange, one who was scrawny and did not stand out much and a girl whose hair was nearly as platinum as the boy. There were also the two teachers. Once the teachers stated their position in classes today, the snake like youth knew where he was going. “Good morning Batou-sensei,” the boy began. “My name is Dakatsu Kiketsu.”

Karake's parents had already pre-registered Karake since they were halfway across the country, so that was of no concern to him. As for the rest, he mulled it over for a minute, trying to decide where to go. Ninjutsu was more up his alley, but his taijutsu definitely needed some work. After all, his mental ability was a bit above his physical. He decided that starting with taijutsu would be more beneficial, so he went to stand with Andou-sensei. He gave a quick bow and said "Good morning, sensei. I'm Karake Takasora. Its nice to meet you."

Triskal slowly stood up. He was glad that he didn't have to register, as his parents had already done that, he was sure. He walked towards the two great masters, looking over each one. He thought about what he should study first. Taijutsu sounded good, but Ninjutsu was also important. He figured he should at least try Taijutsu first, because he probably needed to toughen himself up. He gingerly walked towards the one known as Audou. "Sensei, I'm Triskal Mizuri, I would like to learn Taijutsu with you, Sir."

Batou dug his heels into the ground to prevent himself from getting pulled off into the distance by the excitable Hoshigaki boy. "Whoa there!" he laughed, holding up a placating hand. "Wait for your classmates first." He greeted Kiketsu and looked at how the classes were being divided. Pretty even it seemed... He had 3: Hiru, Kenta, and Kiketsu, whose eyes were a really interesting shade of lime green, and Andou had 3. So they were equally popular... for now. Batou grinned as he saw a classless boy walk up to him. He would be the deciding vote!
He smiled at Mikaro. Unlike Andou, Batou smiled often, and looked natural when doing it to boot. However perhaps often was too much, and he sometimes wondered if he smiled too much that he was kind of creepy. Oh well. He lay out the choices clearly for Mikaro. "Well, I'm teaching the ninjutsu class and Andou-sensei over there is teaching the taijutsu class. I'll be teaching hand seals and chakra molding while Andou-sensei will be instructing on the basics of taijutsu. Maybe you'll spar. It's your choice," he said to Mikaro, before turning to the rest of his class.
"Kenta, Hiru, Kiketsu!" he proclaimed mock-importantly, opening up his large arms in a dramatic gesture. "I'll be your teacher in the chakra arts for this lesson! The venue will be near a nice bubbling volcano on the Witch Market. I'll see you at the boatman's." This last sentence was marked by a sudden shift in tone, back to light and didactic. "I've just got some last things to take care of here. Don't worry, I'll catch up to you guys quickly," he finished with a genial smile before walking out.

Their class this term was actually big enough to split into two, which made Andou pleased as punch. He nodded at Batosai and looked at Karake, trying to remember his features. He had to get to know his students after all! "Likewise," he replied to Karake out of courtesy just as Triskal walked over. Andou was glad that this class wasn't the type to dither. He'd had lots of experience with kids who would look at where their friends were going, discuss it with each other and all in all just take forever and let the wrong things influence their choices. This generation of students seemed to make intelligent choices based on their condition which was always good.
"All right," he said shortly, glancing at Mikaro, acknowledging him in case the boy decided to come over to his class. "Head to the gym, everybody. Make it quick. I want you to be there before me, or at the very least," Andou reconsidered to something slightly more reasonable, "there before Rei-san here. For all you new students, the gym is just down those stairs." Andou gestured out of the classroom, deeper down the hall and down. "Chop chop," he encouraged them in the most unchoppy voice known to man. "You haven't got all day." Andou was already making the hand seals to the Shunshin no Jutsu, ensuring that he would get there before everybody else!
[SPRINT TO THE GYM, everybody! {d20 + dexterity modifier} Hitomi too. You only get 1 try.]
d20 [9] + dex mod [8] + chakra mod [3] = 20 [lol you might beat me XD] Cp: 120 - 40ft = 80
Shunshin no Jutsu (Body Flicker Technique) A high-speed movement technique. It is described as 'appearing with the wind and disappearing like the wind.' A very basic jutsu, it appears that most shinobi above Genin-rank know it. Using chakra to activate the body, the user is able to move from one point to another with extreme speeds. This super-fast movement is almost impossible to see with the naked eye. To a normal person, it would seem as if the user has teleported. The amount of Chakra used depends on the distance and elevation between the user and the destination. Cp cost: 1 per ft Damage: N/A Requirements: Dexterity 20+ Training days: 3 days. Special: When rolling initiation checks or racing, or anything that involves speed, add chk mod to the dice roll.

Kenta grinned enthusiastically hearing Batou tell them of their lessons, he was really looking forward to this and was more than eager to try and prove himself amongst the others in the class. He felt even more excited about this from the rest of his classmates enthusiasm with this teacher, all the positive energy was getting to him, even the sensei's. He pumped his fists scrolling through the possibilities of their training in the academy and his grin spread from ear to ear.
"See you there Sensei!"
He shouted eagerly as he spun on his heels and bolted from the classroom almost tripping as he turned to make his way to the boatman's to start their training.

Karake gave Andou a salute and responded "Yes, sensei!" He got on his mark rand then ran to the gym with as much speed as his meager muscles would allow. He quickly got tired out, but still he continued on.
17-1=16
By the time that he reached the gym, he was huffing and puffing, hands on his knees, trying to catch his breath. He wasn't used to running such long distances

Yokai, try lengthening your posts dear... ^_^'
Hitomi stood ready and waiting for Andou's instructions to the class, and as she watched a few students coming to join the group she noticed a few she actually remembered and that made her feel more comfortable. With Anjou's instructions, the girl simply smiled and readied herself to partake. This was the first time working in a large group, so she had to admit it was intimidating. She didn't want to overshadow the group too much, so she didn't want to go all out, considering most of the students where younger. Not a wise choice on her point, because she ended up struggling to keep up with the younger ones once she did get started. Once reaching the gym, the girl just took a few breaths and hung in the back, least till Andou-sensei needed her again.

Kiketsu gave a small nod to the man. During the war the snake like child was familiar with that place. He did not mind the heat and the added danger was always a welcome. To someone who wanted to learn the most dangerous of techniques, he would need to add some danger to his training. The instructor left first, followed by the boy in the beanie who was also a little too energetic in the morning. This began to make Kiketsu wonder if he had chosen the right side. He did want to learn jutsu, but if it meant being stuck by to teens on a grand sugar, almost can be considered drug, rush then perhaps taijutsu would be better. As the other teacher left already, Kiketsu made a small sigh. Guess it was already decided. His form left swiftly to the shoreline.

Even though Hiru had to wait for Batou to finish giving explanations on what to do and where to go, he kept on holding to his sleeve nevertheless and left with him for the shoreline.

((Sorry about that. I'll do my best to work on it.)) Karake was pleased to see that he had succeded in following his sensei's instructions, and a bit surprised to be honest. After all, not only was he a poor runner, but he was up against a genin. He was a first-day academy student. All the odds had been against him and yet by some miracle he had won. If any other students were able to beat him, he didn't mind, so long as he had successfully beaten Hitomi. He gave her a smile and a friendly wave as she entered the room.

Triskal nodded slowly, intimidated by the other students. He was determined to get there before everyone else. With a running start, he jumped forward, down the first steps of the academy. He felt as light as a bird, but then, well, it didn't end up working as well as planned. His feet hit the edge of the bottom step, and he slipped, spraining his ankle. Soon, the others passed him, and he was still clutching his leg. Soon, he picked himself up, and made it to the gym. He was, of course, the last one to get there, and as soon as he met up with the others, he looked around embarrassed.

Andou arrived in the gym well before any of his students, which didn't surprise him. What surprised him, though, was that the next person he saw entering the room was not Hitomi, but one of the new guys. Takasora Karake. Yes, that was his name. Hitomi appeared soon after and then a student straggled in after all. It was the student with the foreign name, Mizuri was it?
"Well, 5 push-ups for you then," Andou said, "Mizuri." Andou was vastly different from Batou in every way when it came to teaching. While Batou treated every student warmly and addressed them by their first name, Andou preferred to keep distant, using his student's surnames. However he was sure to emphasise his senior position by not using honorifics either. That honour was reserved for graduates, for those who were fellow shinobi, people like Hitomi. Andou had taught her for two years and still called her 'Rei-san', which probably said a lot about him. It wasn't that he didn't care about his students. He just preferred to have a detached relationship with them, that was all.
"The rest of you, follow me here." Andou led the class to where a couple of training dummies were located. There were some of average shinobi size, which was needless to say around the age of 17 or 18, and there were some special dummies for students and child prodigies. Vital areas had been marked with a bull's eye target on all of the dummies.
"Now, who can tell me anything about taijutsu?"

"If I remember correctly, Taijutsu is the art of hand-to-hand combat. In taijutsu, weapons are not used and chakra is used only to enhance the speed or strength of an attack." Karake responded, remembering the stories that his grandfather had told him about his ninja days. During the first-tellings of these stories, he had given Karake explanations of the various traits associated ninja. He smiled at the memory for a moment, and then suddenly snapped back to reality, to the well-lit, slightly chilly underground gym. He needed to stay focused.
