Reddemon Wishes he was a mod agian, so he could slap all of those who participated in this around abit, and clean up this form. Regardless of how much of a mod you wish you were, there's nothing to stop us discussing historic events. Granted, we got a bit side-tracked, but then all good discussions expand on key points.

Reddemon Wishes he was a mod agian, so he could slap all of those who participated in this around abit, and clean up this form. In every forum I've ever been to, the general policy has been "Ask and ye shall never receive." sweatdrop Anyhow, so what's the deal with the vespid anyhow? What's the story there? How do they fit? They literally surprised me when perusing the the Tau model line - they just don't seem to belong, y'know?

When you think Tau, think of the second part. Empire.
Kroot are only "Tauish" because they've been there from the start. Vespid are the new Kroot. I like it. It's like Halo, a lot. Don't argue with me, it is. Similar logo, similar "Technology to willing species" and that technology is more plasma than the metal slugs of human forces.
There's something very peaceful about using the Tau, from both a design and structured sense.

I would say yes and no. The only thing is that they are not religious. The covenant is far more sleek and artistic in design than the tau who's technology is straight edged for a great deal, outside of ships which need to be aerodynamic.

agreed, it gets no one anywhere because hell, if it doesnt advance the greater good in any way (thats right even that artist who created the propaganda leaflets and the moms who did fundraisers and recruitment drives) its not noticed, and frankly, who gives a s**t about art and sleekness when you have a whole universe to conquer and civilizations to add to your empire, as long as it works.

yo_momma117 and frankly, who gives a s**t about art and sleekness when you have a whole universe to conquer and civilizations to add to your empire, as long as it works. Even a braindead military scientist realizes the importance of morale. Appearance often dictates morale, both of the allies and the enemies, and armor should be designed to reflect and inspire that. That's not to say the Tau don't have that. My only point is that a lot of people in the 41st millenium give a s**t. pirate

I believe that the Tau are self-inspired by their drive to expand the greater good, and in aphysical sense, by the Ethereals who are practically Gods among the Tau. 3nodding They are not hardcore like spacemarines, but hey, they get the job done, right? xd
I played another scout troop game and I beat down Eldar PRETTY badly. 3nodding The 7 warp spiders were annihilated in the first turn along with these other things that I don't know about. He didn't use anything but elites I believe. There were only 3 turns and this game, I didn't lose my tank, I only lost a few kroot, but I also lost 6 of my 10 firewarriors in one of my squads. 3nodding sweatdrop MEATSHIELDS SAVED MY FRIGGIN' LIFE! xd heart I plan on keeping a few kroot just in case, but I am definatly selling about 30 of them. 3nodding

"For the greater good" would do well in the Tau ones, but as a human, pulling on your emotional heartstrings and "liberties" will get people to back most things.
The Cold War:
Communists aren't evil, they lead great beneficial lives. But because it stopped the American's being capatalist and gaining, by saying that it threatened their way of life and existance, people backed it.

-Mykal not sure where this came from but ok... yeah, that would be priceless, just a artistic version of "for the greater good" on your barracks wall, rofl, just like putting one of "for the emperor" on a barracks of a space marine. Im sure just looking at it will renew their ever faith and give them enough strength from the god to kill the xenos outside

"I shop therefore I am."
Do you understand what that means, and what it made America the whole westernised world today?

-Mykal I have no understanding on how we came to this convorsation but... A play off of "I think therefor I am", never heard of it before, but my interpretation is that, if you shop, your investing in western culture, for some reason I just forgot, not sure if im gonna be able to retain it now...s**t...
