Fara smiled. "Thank you." She said. With that they were off the the guild hall. At the guild hall Fara went up to the front desk and asked if they could meet the guild master. The man behind the desk smiled an nodded. "He's free today, I'll see if he's taking any guests." He said before picking up the phone. After a short chat he hung up and pointed towards a hall. "He'll be the last door down that hall." Fara gave a weak smile. "Thanks." She said before heading down the hall.

Fara nodded and they soon got to the door. Fara hesitated before knocking on the door. It was quite for a moment before a low voice called out. "Come in." The voice said. Fara opened the door and immediately they were hit with a wave of warm air. She walked in and looked around. The walls were covered in paper with a wide and somewhat random range of things written or drawn on them. By one of the walls sat the guild master, sitting his chair with a clip board on his lap. "Hang on." He mumbled as he looked between the notes on his wall and his clip board. The guild master was well known for his intelligence and was a respected scientist, rivaling even Eca and her son.

Once he felt he was done with the section of wall he had been staring at he lifted his feet and pushed off from it, his wheeled chair sliding across the floor. "Oh hi Fara." He said as he passed by. He turned and stopped him self at the other wall. "What brings you three here today?" He asked, resuming what he had been doing at the other wall.

Fara bowed as well. "It does." The guild master said as he continued to make notes on his clip board. "But, with out the crystals it would leave us with no power source since it acts as an electromagnet and attracts the lightning." He pushed away from the wall and stopped him self in front of the group. Now that he was closer and in one spot it was easier tosee what kind of person he was physically. He had a pale with some burn marks down the right side. His long grey hair was kept out of his face by a pair of hair clips. "Take it." He said.

Fara stood up and blinked. "H-huh? Just, just like that?" She asked. This came as a surprise since it was their source of power.

"Of course, with the lightning storms calmed down and the ring restored we'll have crystal power with in a week, long before our batteries run out." He explained, only confusing Fara more. The guild master pushed him self away and over to where his desk was. He stood up for the first time since they entered and turned to face the large curtains behind it. He flung the curtains open and the wide open fields of the land could be seen. "I saw it from here, with the help of my sons telescope of course." He turned and sat back in his chair. "Quite a spectical really, I honestly though the young Irrigan was going to be killed."

"Oh her names Nina is it? That's a nice name." The guild master said as he rolled him self back over to them. "Sure, I'd be happy to tell you what I saw, but in exchange-" "No we're not going to-" "Fara that's not what I'm offering." The guild master said, stopping their brief argument. "Any way, I want you to tell me what you saw, you were closer to the incident so you'll have details that I didn't get from my great distance."

The guild master nodded as Elric explained what he saw. "right right, well tell me then, did you happen to know what the air charge was? Ambient temperature? And what about the wind speed? I'm sure a bird of that size was whipping the wind in every direction." He said, showing some excitement. "Sorry to tell you this but we don't carry measurement equipment with us so I doubt he knows." Fara said. The guild master sighed. "Aw well that's disappointing." He said. "Well, what would you like to know then?" He asked

The guild master nodded. "Yes I saw it." He said rolling him self back over to his desk. "Though even with a telescope I could only see so much. From what I could tell Nina was struck by lightning at least twice. She used a scyth she pulled from a box. Then the large bird shrank down to a human like form and it looked like it was ready to strike Nina again." He turns to look out the window. "Then, she flashed and started glowing brightly. At this distance she just looked like, like a search light. But she was using some kind of fire attacks cause soon flames started to shoot out from her. I believe she had a sword."

"Well surviving a lightning strike isn't unheard of." The guild master said. "And it would explain your cousins memory loss. But then again I couldn't see all of it so it is possible that the bolts grazed her." He shrugged and leaned back. "I may go down to the alter later, see if there's anything worth studying since it's been the sight of a major battle."

The guild master waved as they left, he continued to look out the window. "Well that's cause we got to meet him in his office and not his lab." Fara said, looking over her shoulder as they left. "When we were 7 mom had to bring us here with her. We were sent down to his lab and that place alone is scary." Fara shivered some as she thought of what happened. "When he found out who our parents were he asked if he could experiment on us." She got a small smile. "Mom slapped him right out of his chair."
