Lilith would feel a strange energy as Amias appeared next to her. "Hey. Looks like our new...ruler has decided to take center stage. How's about we find out what kind of mischief he's up to, eh?" In his newly transformed state, Amias seemed to have aged down dramatically since last she saw him. And his power levels increased as well, but that wasn't the important part here. Lilith would find that--if she recognized his energy--that Amias was actually pretty handsome when he were younger. Like he was now. However, catching up with Lilith wasn't what Amias was most interested in at this point in time. The man's focus was now directly on Zachariah, the god who stood before them, imposing a new sort of reign on his country. Seeing a god in the flesh was...humbling to someone who used to play god, and it was moreso relieving than anything else. Finally, if the real gods were to somehow stain their own image, perhaps the Pagans would no longer be shamed so harshly for trying to protect what was in axiom before the gods. It was then. At that moment, their eyes met; in his bid to get everyone around to bow, the god had met eyes with an impersonator. Almost as though commanded to, Amias felt the strong urge to fall to his knees. However, he resisted. There was but a single question bubbling up within him, and as soon as that matter were handled, he would be more than happy to bow like the rest. It was how he'd survived these many centuries, after all; bowing, pretending to be no more visible than the rest. And he'd gotten pretty damn good at it over time. But this question really was important to him, and so he asked.

"I will be more than happy to welcome in your new reign, your majesty. But first, if you've the patience, there is one question I'd like to ask of you. You say that if we want something, we take it. While that's a perfectly fine philosophy to live by, and something I've seen quite often in this land, before Alistair and Azazel alike...it doesn't describe your motivations. I would be much happier serving under your reign if I knew what your goal was in leading this nation; who do you want to kill? Who do you want to conquer? What can we--as your subjects--do to further your design, your purpose on Axiom?" A difficult question for most creatures on their inauguration day, but Amias had that sneaking suspicion that Zachariah was well-prepared to answer this question, even if it were something disparaging him for asking something so stupid. And it may very well be the case; of all things on this planet, dealing with an actual god was something of a gray area for Amias; even with his age, he was stepping past this boundary with just as much experience as the fifty year-old vampire next to him. There was nothing more to be said about it. Save for whatever response Zachariah would be cooking up.

                                                        Energy (1650/1650 Energy) (150/150 Ammo)

                                                        Equipment Guns
                                                        Passives

                                                            • Glory To Me
Pagans are very... noble. They have the air of a King or Queen about them; even a divine. This comes from this particular ability. 'Glory To Me' is a mental allure that they constantly release from their vessel, similar to an Incubi's seduction, but weaker. Rather than seducing people, this ability fools their mind. It can make them see things that aren't real. In fact, they can even feel these things. This ability is literally impossible to ignore or break out of, but it serves little benefit other than prestige. A Pagan will often use this power to make themselves appear divine; the sun will rise behind them, their clothing will flow and shine with the breeze, they'll just seem so... God-like. They can even change their appearance using this, although it's a temporary thing. This ability can have some uses in battle, though. For example, if a Pagan is to cast a shadow over themselves, it'd make them harder to see. If they make the sun shine behind them, they can make their enemy flinch away from the overbearing light. They can also fool enemies into thinking they've struck a shield or something like that, although that sort of manipulation over reality is something that only Pagans who focus on this type of power can do.

                                                            • The Sight
Just like their counterpart the Diabolus can read the auras about them and see things for what they are. This allows them to pinpoint an opponent's energy level(rank), along with the ability to naturally see energy.

                                                            • The Mark of the Devil
Each of the Diabolus bloodline maintains the "Mark of the Devil" which signifies their resemblance to their Satanic bloodline. These things are something which cannot simply be ignore and each little trait grants the Diabolus a little gift of a sort. It is a shame that they are born within no more or no less than two traits.
Claws/Talons - They fingernails maintain a fixed length of two inches. They are more like hardened, black, obsidian claws than fingernails and can tear through flesh like paper.
Fangs - Their canines, both top and bottom, are significantly noticeable to the point of which they protrude from the lip. These fangs maintain a certain gland which fills with the blood of the Diabolus and can spew it in a mass stream of acidic black blood to naturally defend.
Horns - To put it simply the horns are a strong asset and maintain an entire move set for their soul capabilities. The strength of the horns, upon birth, are equivalent to strength of a C-Ranked material. With each rank they grow til they cannot. (ex. Trainee=C, Novice=B, Adept=A, Expert=S, Master=SS, Sage=SSS)
Tail - Like the horns it is an asset which can maintain an entire skill-set to itself. It works on the same exact system as the Horns do except with speed. It has, essentially, a boost of +2spd. on its own attacks.

The silence that fell at the entrance of this being signified something great. Lilith's eyes lit up from across the CAZ, the same way they did when she saw something she wanted. Zacariah spoke in demonica to those assembled, proclaiming himself the new leader of Nocturne. A faint smile crept across Lilith's face and if she could have, she would have clapped. Alistair Maric had been in his own way a decent king. But he was boring, dull, and had let Nocturne fall into laziness and ruin. The succubus herself had been in the motions of gathering followers from all parts of Nocturne, not just here in Luimira. There was the draconians, vampires, even fairhairs. Her own kind, their lesser male counterparts and diabolus. So many had pledged a secret allegiance to overthrow him and now their work had been finished for them. Lilith only wished she had been there to see it happen. Even if her free will had not been taken from her she would have been hypnotized by this creature. The way he could exist and not exist, the way his feathered wings stretched far out and cast a wicked shadow. Lilith's eyes raked over his body, pillaging and plundering as she pleased. And she came to the conclusion that while Zacariah was truly a sight to behold, he was no Lukhan. When Lilith finally spotted it she could not help but raise an eyebrow. Was he seriously clutching a still beating heart in his hand? The succubus had to wonder who managed to piss this guy off enough to deserve such a fate. She was not overly disgusted though, moreso curious. Back in the Red Light District Lilith catered to all sorts of fetishes and odd requests. That would not be the first heart she had seen in someone's hand. Things did not get serious until you sat in a room with a bunch of other people cheering on a girl eating the entire heart of a horse.

The she-devil briefly wondered if it was just something all gods and major demons had or if only the few she encountered showed, but they all seemed to be so goddamn full of themselves. She supposed, naturally, with the ability to blow people up with your mind that such a trait developed. Everyone seemed to feed into it and Lilith was having a hard time detaching herself from the build up of energy all around her. People were wanting to lose their s**t and give their most feral cries to the heavens above and hell below. Zacariah had promised a return to glory and gore, what true Vaetians craved. When the kneeling started there was no fiber of her being that was surprised to see that little suck up Brydent go down first. He had worked his way right up into Alistair's a** so of course he would do the same for Zacariah. How quick he was to throw his allegiance to the next man. More heads lowered and more bodies kneeled and someone actually chose to leave. Lilith waited and waited, until she felt a familiar essence brush up on her. It was rare to catch the succubus off guard but when she turned to face Amias she had been expected a half withered old man, not someone in the prime of his life. The question he posed to her piqued her curiosity even more than the god himself. "Try not to be the next heart he's carrying, I kind of like having you around." The succubus said with a wink and a smile. Before Amias spoke again she had no idea what his motivations were. Maybe as a being who once posed as a god himself it would take more than just someone waving a sword and bloody heart around screaming Vakk Antha to persuade him. Frankly, Lilith herself was not fully convinced. And it was not just Lilith and Amias who had not knelt. Scores of soldiers wanted answers just as the pagan did though not a one seemed to be in flat out denial of their new god-king. That is if they were smart. Lilith knew full well she was not even remotely a match for Zacariah. She would bow, in time.

                                Equipment Head b***h in Charge
                                Passives

                                    • Extremely seductive. Like Incubi, you possess the ability to instantly seduce others as long as they're two ranks below you. It's said that this becomes possible only due to their astounding beauty, but that is only a supplement. The Succubi are indeed far more beautiful than all other races, but their seduction lies in the magical energy they are born with. This energy flows around them and into the air like cells into a vein, bewitching any they seek.

                                    • Lilith has developed the ability to detect the emotional state of the people near her and manipulate her succubus aura to merely make people around her feel very wanting of the more pleasurable acts. They become lascivious ratchet hoes, making it easier for Lilith to seduce people. This makes it so people one rank under Lillith are instantly seduced. If the opponent thinks they will be harmed the aura is broken. If Lilith tries to kill the target they are snapped out of it as well.

                                    • Arcane Arts: Her magic spells are quite devastating should one hit you. (+1 rank to magic)

                                    • Ability to manifest certain aspects of the demon at will. They can extend wings, sharp fingernails, as well as horns when they please.

                                    • Detect Magic
The user can detect magic. This means when others cast spells, or emanate high amounts of energy, you can see their aura. This also means you can detect magic in an area, meaning if an area has something magical about it, you can feel it. At higher ranks, you can determine the source in an area.

                                    • Vibration Sensory
A useful skill, the user channels energy into their feet to sense vibrations on the ground. As long as their feet is on the ground, a user can sense where an enemy is if they are earth bound within 50ft for five posts. This skill becomes passive once the user is Adept Rank.

Din looked around as everything turned silence, his eyes falling onto Zacariah as the man spoke in a language that he could not inherently understand yet. He looked to Lilith for guidance as she had her own reaction, a small smile that baffled Din, but didn't make him question outloud. He followed her eyes when she noticed something, seeing the still-beating heart. It caught Din's attention, and then it was followed by interest as to how to remove a being's heart. 'Maybe I could get one to replace my own...' Din thought to himself. He soon looked back to Lilith as his thoughts went to a heartbeat, causing him to shake his head. Soon, the being spoke in Common, so even Din can understand what was going on. 'Kala?' In his book studies, Din has never really learned about the gods, so this was something he would have to look forward to. Soon, the man decreed they were free to practically kill whenever they wanted, they no longer have to abide by the rules of man, which made Din smile happily. No more weakness and heresy, the man wanted everyone to pledge their allegience to him in Din's eyes, Vangelists, Humans, and their sympathizers would die by all of Nocturne's hands.

Din looked over to Lilith, who looked behind her to the man as he watched them both with curiosity. Din was still mostly a blank slate, currently being written on by the actions of others. But this powerful being before them, made Din wonder about everything, he couldn't bow to a Knee yet, not while Lilith stayed standing as he tilted his head a bit in confusion.

Radek mainly just watched as everything happened, having helped with the termination of the weak bodied Alistair actually worked to the country's favor. He smiled at the arrival of this new god to lead them back to where they once were. Zachariah proclaimed himself the beating heart of Nocturne and the savior of this place's future. Radek claimed no religion, believing just hard work and careful planning would bring about the new age, and it did. The man continued to speak as he nodded when the man spoke of Kala, how she was betrayed by her own weak and scheming demons. It was back to the roots of what monsters were to men, killing machines, and Radek enjoyed the thought of it. He had spent too much time relaxing and smithing, even though he enjoyed making weapons. He soon pointed his blade up, causing Radek to chuckle for a moment before he fell to a knee, bowing to the newer, stronger power, without question. The fact that Brydent was kissing up to him already being the first one to bow, only made more people see him out as an a**.

"Examine your words closely before they fall from your lips, Amias Nicht, Pagan. I have only just told you who I plan on eradicating: the Vangelists, the humans, those who sympathize with them. That is our focus for now. My motivations for later are my own prerogative and do not require your permission. You're not in a place to deny them anyhow." And that reminded him of a point, one that he put towards all the people here. "To those of you from the Middle Plane, your era is over. Demons now rule Nocturne - not you people. This is no longer a battle for your own privilege, but one of survival. If you feel that you need only sit back and watch, then sure, let yourself fall into servitude or flat-out slavery with one of my demons. Or if you're intelligent, you'll fight with me, and bow." He glared at Lilith; anyone else who did not wish to swear fealty.

He knew she was Captain, but she could easily be replaced. Her loyalty was exceptionally important. If he could not have it, he would be sure to eradicate it. He was aware that Succubi loyalty faltered and wavered just as the waves washed against the shores, but this was no time for her games. It was a game she could not win.

Contrary to what people believed, this was harder for Brydent than anyone. He was loyal to Alistair above all things, not even a God capable of smearing that loyalty. The Fairhairs always fell in line with their pact. Their pack leader was everything to them. He would have died for Alistair; he still would. But he worshiped Zachariah too, and in the face of such conflicting loyalties, he simply chose the logical option. Alistair was gone, possibly dead, whereas there was a God here and now who would push their nation to new heights. He was no one to decline this gradual flux of power, and so despite his hesitation, he was indeed the first to bow. Everyone here could call him a kiss-a** or a brown-noser . . . but that was not the case. He was simply not a fool. It seemed like no one here understood demons as well as he did. Brydent had been born and raised in the presence of them, and when he lived in Gettera, he encountered them frequently - strolling through the forests, tapping the waystone.

Alistair was even in love with one - Emperor West. Yes, he had a long history with them, and none of it was colored by acceptance or love. It was cold brutality. And so, knowing that he was vulnerable to reach the far end of that brutality, he bowed. After doing so, he stepped over to Lilith and whispered in her ear. "You do not age but you are mortal," he said. "Thus lesser to him. Even though you and I are both demon-kin, we pale against the real thing. We are weak, divided, aimless and without the constitution to hold real strength. Zachariah speaks the truth to us. You will fall into slavery to the demons if you do not bow, Lilith. Not even Lukhan can protect you from this rising current." He could feel her energy, and its change. He knew she had a mark now. He just also knew that it didn't matter. In the face of their superiors, demons always abandoned their followers. Zachariah would not care enough about Lukhan's loyalty to make exceptions, either. He was much more powerful than the other demons that came. He was . . . incomprehensible. When Brydent tried to read his energy, the entire universe around him seemed to be painted with purple; it stretched outwards for miles.

Lilith needed to understand the fate of their nation now.

When greeted with this harsh answer, Amias had to fight the urge to grin. So much, in fact, that it was painful to do so. "I suppose it was my mistake for asking an obvious question. However, it was answered nonetheless." But still...for a god to descend upon them and simply proclaim himself a king...what sort of motivations would he have to stoop from a god to a king? Surely, he could have used Alistair as a puppet king and dictate from an even higher mantle, like emperor. Why remove the king? Was he trying to make some sort of example of their former leader?

A lot of these questions remained unanswered in Amias' head, but he knew that one choice right now was obvious. In order to survive, as he always had, Amias would need to bow. "Thank you for humoring me, your majesty." And with that, Amias fell to one knee, and bowed to his king. Frankly, it wasn't the first or last time he would bow to a new ruler of nocturne. Someone like him was hardly concerned with who gave out the orders.

After enough time had passed, and Zachariah had dismissed them, Amias left promptly.

Another new ruler, another new regime. Nocturne was flighty as all ********. Gremmy allowed his visage to come into view. The spirit of death itself seemed to be unmoved on the outside, but inwardly he was in fact quite intrigued by the god's speech, his call to arms. Gremmy could speak demonica quite well, understanding all that the man said and finding his words agreeable. Especially that little bit about killing whoever you wanted. Any human's in the city were officially branded fodder by Zachariah. Gremmy finally showed a bit of emotion, a smile shining on his face in his skeletal mouth, green smoke rising from it. He took a knee when commanded to bow. There was no purpose in resisting when he stood to benefit from this. Even when Amias decided to question the king, Gremmy remained. When dismissal was given, Gremmy seemed to fade away.

                                                      Undeath
Liches are, as described, the risen dead of the more magical races oriented beings in the world. They have already learned to cheat death once, and will no doubt do it again. If a Lich is killed, but not properly excersized and/or laid to rest, then they will only remain dead for a certain amount of time, after which their soul, no their very essence will reconfigure elsewhere, bringing them back to life as strong as they were at death. Contact your guild captain if this happens, and they will decide what it will take for your character to recover and how long you must wait for it to happen. Also, upon reviving, you lose a rank, going from Master to Expert for example.

                                                      Aura of Fear
When near a Lich, anyone who isn't of an unholy inclination, be it class or bloodline, will be unable to ignore the overwhelming power coming from them, and by extension the natural fear struck into their hearts by their sight. Rpc's a rank higher, while unable to ignore this, can push it away and fight normally. RPC's two ranks higher are unmoved by this. At equal or one rank lower, hostile RPC's will be hesitant to fight a Lich, and by two ranks this feeling causes a sense of fear so great that enemies are forced to choose flight, rather than fight.

                                                      Ghost Form
The Lich can completely suppress their physical form and turn into a literal ghost for up to 5 posts, once per battle. In this form, they can only use nonphysical attacks, and in addition to that, they can only be harmed by magic. Once this ends, they cannot activate it again.

                                                      Poison/Disease Immunity
Lich's are simply immune to these things, as they are already dead.

No one had said a thing about defiance, in fact Lilith had barely said a word on the matter at all. There was no question of her allegiance, even if most of it was due to the fact that Zacariah could otherwise swat her like a gnat. Having Brydent take the time to inform her of the situation as if she was an infant incapable of comprehension brought a very sarcastic smile to Lilith's face. She cupped his chin and gave an endearing look to the man who had somehow became her rival. Probably because Brydent is a douchey name and the succubus often came off as a b***h. "Why thank you Brydent, I had been so confused up until this moment. Believe me when I say I never had any intentions not to bow. Who would even dare to stand against the might of Zacariah?" Lilith said, patting Brydent twice on the cheek softly before turning her gaze to the god who had singled her out. She gave a very theatrical bow most befitting a deity that could blow your head off on a whim. Then, she fell to one knee, letting her gaze drop to the floor. Out of the corner of her eye she spotted Din, standing stupidly and gazing around like he had no idea where he was. Hopefully he saw her bowing and would do the same. On the other side of her, Amias had fallen as well. There was no one left, no one with doubts or questions. That was mostly because everyone was too afraid to ask. Deep inside her mind Lilith had an inkling. Kings and queens, they would come and go. Fenrir, Alistair, Red; all were names only spoken in history books. But Lilith, she would remain.

When all that jazz was over with Lilith rose gracefully to a standing position and looked towards the massive group dissassembling. So much was about to happen here in Nocturne. The she-devil wondered just how many vangelists were fleeing the city of the night at this very moment. She had a sudden urge, the urge to feel the warmth of blood flow between her fingers and down her body. "Hmmm, little monster." Lilith called out over the crowd, motioning for Din to walk over to her with a come-hither motion. She sauntered over in his direction and closed the distance between them. A slender hand reached up and lightly touched Din's cheek, almost a tender gesture. That is if it had not come from Lilith. "I've an adventure in mind, I am sure you will find it interesting." Lilith said just above a whisper. She had a wicked gleam in her eyes and a devilish smirk touching her features. Zacariah spoke of blood and battle, that was what Lilith intended to give him.

Din kept his focus on Lilith, looking to Brydent when he addressed her before thinking on what everyone was talking about. He soon looked to Lilith as his eyes opened up in surprise with what she was doing. She was kneeling to this powerful being, and being known as a follower.... Din did just that as he turned to the powerful being and feel to a knee, pledging his allegiance to the man and for Nocturne. When everyone began to get up, Din slowly rose to a stand as well, yawning softly to himself before he heard Lilith's voice, turning to face her as he looked around, possibly to see if she was calling Anastasia. When he looked back to her and saw that she was motioning for him to come over, it caused Din's face to flush slightly. He coughed a bit and moved over to her as they closed the distance quite easily with both of them on the move. Her hand on his cheek made Din blush, but hearing her speak intrigued him already. 'An adventure between us two? Hm.... I wonder if this will be exciting.' He thought to himself, smiling at her before he nodded, wanting to join her on this mission.

Once it had appeared that a majority of the congregation had cleared from the Training Area, Cyrus decided it was about time to make his entrance. But where to start? Who to talk too first? It was all so overwhelming at first. It had seemed like only hours ago he had been drinking in a bar, gambling away what little money he had, and now here he was, in the middle of Fort Maketh. Finally building up his courage, he walked towards a small group that remained, approaching a large male figure that turned out to be Brydent. "Hi, excuse me. I hate to interrupt anything important here, but I was wondering if one of you could tell me what I'm supposed to be doing here. The last few hours have been a bit of a blur and they just pointed to this place and said walk."

Did she even have to open the door? The shadows would bend to conceal her if she willed it, because that was all she was. A shadow casted onto the world. She didn't know exactly where to go, but people were training and she wasn't exactly sure. She noticed a similar guy go towards the nearest crowd so she soon followed. "I'm here to check in, or whatever. Report to duty." She proclaimed, looking at the others there. She didn't even know why.

Brydent despised people. More than anything, he had come to harness his negative disposition towards virtually anyone else to his benefit. This attitude probably came with the way he was raised, as an interloper, one stuck between love and hate, sun and moon too. As a Lycan, this was personified, his distinctive personality made ultraviolent by his inner impulse. Of course, this made his disposition even more negative when he felt like it, and slightly more positive when he didn't. The way he felt right now was . . . angry, in a way. He was sorrowful at the loss of Alistair, and the choice he had to make in order to maintain his dignity. The surrendering to Zachariah; that was far too much for him. It hurt him to have to let go of the old ways, more and more. He loved the place Nocturne was, not what it was becoming. He cared about strength above all. Humans could be strong too. And Vangelists. Religion, he thought, should not superimpose over power. He wished to see this place redeemed of such stigma.

And so - and so, he was angry, but determined. He felt that he would and that he could make Nocturne see the flaw in its direction, the fault in its stars.

He watched two students come towards him, and he offered them a somewhat hesitant, but somewhat inclusive expression. He was interested to see what they had to offer to Nocturne . . . and perhaps him. The fight was on to make a change, and it started with loyalty, with making your pack. With Alistair gone, it was time for the cub to become the patriarch.

The man crossed his arms, digesting that the white-haired male seemed to be completely clueless about his current position. "This is a military academy. At a military academy, you do military academy things. You pick up missions, you train, you strive to achieve promotions. It's fairly straightforward." He almost scoffed. Brydent was rude and he was blunt, but he was also one hell of a diligent instructor. He just needed to make sure that his students had their heads in the right place, and in his mind, being confused of your direction was an immediate red alert.

The woman that came after the white-haired man seemed to have an idea, although her failure at articulation had the Fairhair sighing. "Yeah, yeah. Well, first of all, you two need to learn some basic conversational skills. That's reporting for duty, sir, and let's not forget to introduce yourself. So I'd say - Captain Brydent de Valois, reporting for duty, sir. It's fairly straightforward. They teach you that at the lower level academy in order to enlist. Don't forget the kind of stuff they taught you there. It's actually useful, since they're preparing you for the real deal." God, he was so tired of the unprofessional attitude of recruits. It was time to whip these sissies into shape.

(Uber sorry for the long wait, I've been busy as well as neglectful. ;-; I promise I'll post daily from here on out.)

Mustering up all the manners he had, Cyrus rendered a quick salute. It was hasty, but it was passable and one of the few things he had retained from the Academy before arrival. "Recruit Cyrus Zakarus, reporting for duty Sir!"
