[Cory .:. The Betting Table]

Cory grinned bringing up his hands and grabbing the katars as they closed in. Blood dripped down Kyle's weapons as the blue and black fire burned all through Cory's arms. The flames of the Indomitable Will began to lick at Kyle's skin, slowly crawling up his arms and bringing with it the cold, chilling sensation. The feeling would be indescribable other than "it felt like death was examining me". With it would come the inescapable dread that Cory's "element" had inherited from the Dead Fire, the sinking feeling in one's stomach when they knew they had messed up something life threatening. As this happened, Cory's left eye seemed to burst into flames as well, glowing a fierce cyan as a deep black fire seemed to pour from the eye and his mouth.

Soon, the Indomitable Will had consumed both of the warriors, the air visibly disturbed and blurred around the two. Cory had made sure to output as much of the dreadful fire as he could, hoping for one possible side effect. He wanted to put Kyle's mind elsewhere.

With as little warning as one could give, Cory pulled at the katars, hoping to put himself inside Kyle's attack range and out of immediate harm's way. In the same movement, he would summon his Revblade and used the revving to conduct a Blue Rose and release the energy through a headbutt to his opponent. Of course, all of this depended on how much Kyle was put off by the special properties of the Indomitable Will.

[ Kyle ; Sora ; Kuja : Port Royal : Lounge Car ]

Kyle wanted to whistle slightly at the transformation process- reflections? Was that even an element? Perhaps it wasn't an element, but her weapons? He could only guess, however, as he heard Zell over the intercom finally speak up-

"Alright, everyone, we're about to touch down in Tortuga, thanks for riding the Zell Train, hope you guys- WHOA-"

Almost simultaneously, the train was hit with a powerful burst of turbulence, easily enough to knock some off their feet. Kyle was lucky enough to grab a nearby table to keep him steady. He immediately glared outside the nearby window- a strange wave of dark green energy had just passed by, likely the source of the turbulence.

Sora, on the contrary, fell straight onto James, yelping as he did so. He immediately jumped back to his feet to see what was going on, offering a hand to James to help him up.

"Sorry about that, loyal passengers, finding a spot to land this baby now..." Zell spoke once again over the intercom, only to release a low whistle, as if seeing something impressive. "Geez, this place looks like it was hit by a tornado..."

There was a small rumbling as the train landed in a valley just a short distance from the port of Tortuga. The large door in the side of the Lounge Car opened up, with stairs appearing toward the ground. The moment anyone stepped outside, they'd feel the powerful currents of the wind, as if there really was a tornado around.

.:It's him.:.

"Chaos..."

Kyle cursed under his breath; had he not just mentioned the Scion of Taurus the night prior? He should have kept his mouth shut. Turning to Sayrike, he tried to give a reassuring smile. "I don't expect you to tag along so readily, with so little answered- if you'd rather stay safe, then staying in the train would be your best bet."

"I suppose the neophytes would be frightened of a little breeze," Kuja said loftily as he entered the Lounge Car, apparently unaffected by everything that had just happened. It almost appeared he was gliding through the car, though on closer inspection he was on his feet.

"Oh, shut it, Kuja," Sora retorted for the others.

[ Zexion : Training Car]

The Nobody, now wearing what appeared to be a formal-casual suit of sorts, opened the Training Car door, immediately disturbing the Time Compression magics that kept the duo within unaware of what was going on. He looked as apathetic as ever.

"We've landed."

With that said, he walked away, heading back toward the front of the train.

Jacob ll Train ll Dining Car > Lounge Car

Jacob lurched forward out of his seat as the gusts of wind pelted the flying train. Hitting the ground, he instinctively planted his hands down, kicked his legs hard, and flipped up in one smooth forward flip. "What the heck! Bumpy landing?"

"Alright, everyone, we're about to touch down in Tortuga, thanks for riding the Zell Train, hope you guys- WHOA-Sorry about that, loyal passengers, finding a spot to land this baby now...Geez, this place looks like it was hit by a tornado..."

"Well then. I guess I should probably move back up with the others." Jacob hurried back into the first car just to completely miss Kyle's sentence. Bracing himself in the doorway, he asked, rather casually, "En taro Adun." He hoped someone would get the reference, not that anyone who's lived in a developed country WOULDN'T."Wha'did I miss?"

{James : Train : Lounge Car -> Sleeping Car}

James watched with interest at the transformation of Sayrike's clothing, the mysterious reflection of himself that he saw for only a brief second made him very curious. Her clothing when it was said and done, made the corsair's eyes narrow in curiosity, it wasn't evident just what she was supposed to be, though the blue and gold kind of reminded him a bit of a Blue Mage, but he wasn't sure. That was when the announcement over the intercom from Zell came that they were about to land. Followed by the powerful turbulence. The corsair grabbed onto a bench to support himself. However, that didn't matter as Sora came crashing into him, knocking him onto the hard metal floor of the train.

"Gah! Dang it again Sora!?" James exclaimed as he took Sora's hand to rise back to his feet.

The corsair went over to a window just as Kyle did and looked out out the window and saw what Zell meant, the place did look like it was hit by a tornado. The gunner's attention was turned to Kyle, his enhanced hearing allowed him to hear Kyle's say "Chaos" and immediately he was put on guard. He remembered the name Chaos... he was a Scion just like Mateus was.

'So much for this being an easy trip to Tortuga...'

"I'm going to go get Noelle, meet you guys outside." He said, and headed back into the Dining Car, and continued back on into the Sleeping Car.

He walked down the corridor once again and opened the door. He wasn't sure how deep of sleep Noelle was in, so he wasn't sure if just knocking would have been enough to wake her up. He gently placed a hand on her shoulder.

"Noelle, we've arrived in Tortuga."

[Dawn : Port Royal : Training Car]

Dawn looked up when she heard the door open and Zexion announce their arrival. Dawn didn't get the chance to thank him or give any response before he left again. She turned to glance at Joe, smiling slightly.

"I suppose we should get going," she said to Joe with a slight wink.

As she stepped out of the time compressed car, she couldn't help but wonder what happened during the landing, the chocobos in the stables seemed to be a little disturbed by something. Curiosity took the best of her as she walked over to the door that would exit the train.

"Woah!" Dawn yelled as the massive wind blew the door out of her hand letting the wind into the stables, disturbing the poor birds the inhabited it even more, "Crap, bad idea!" Dawn yelled as the wind blew her hair into her face as she reached out in an attempt to shut the door again and calm the chocobos.

[Train ~ Sleeping Car]

"Julia . . . hey, Julia, wake up."

"Hmm? Whaaaaat?" She groaned, looking over the railing of her bunk at her step-sister.

"The dogs got in a fight again." Noelle told her softly, "There's a big mess."

Julia let out a frustrated sigh and jumped down from her bunk, following Noelle through the living room and into the kitchen. She hadn't even noticed Ellie in the corner next to the couch, cowering because she thought she was in trouble. The moment they walked into the kitchen they could see the terrible mess of blood the dogs had left. There was blood splattered everywhere and a few puddles here and there on the floor. Noelle hardly reacted, going for the disinfectant to start wiping things up. Julia stood near the doorway, frozen in fear with her hands cupped over her mouth.

"Oh . . . my god." She mumbled. The ammount of blood was ridiculous. She didn't join Noelle in cleaning, instead going to check on the dogs. She returned afterwards with a frown on her face.

"Ellie is fine, no cuts." Noelle said, telling her what she already knew. She supposed she should have told her earlier so she wouldn't have been so worried, but she hadn't thought about it. "Autumn is okay too, the blood came from a cut on the inside of her mouth. Autumn pulled trash out of the trash can, which started the fight."

"Woulda been nice if you told me earlier. I thought one of them was dying."

"Sorry."

"I'll start cleaning Ellie. She's absolutely coated in blood."

Noelle continued mopping up the blood. She was strangely unphased by it, normally it would have made her queezy. Maybe it was because it was late at night and she was still groggy. The blonde scrubbed the bottoms of the cabinates and moved to the fridge. She took the magnets off and gathered the papers underneath them. They were mainly drawings, all with a few splatters of blood on them. Catching sight of one, Noelle paused to look at it. It was a crayon sunset on a piece of light burgundy colored paper. On the top it said, "To: Lloyed, From: Mandi." She always spelled his name wrong.

Noelle's eyes stung as tears filled them.
'Oh, Mandi . . .'

---

Noelle awoke as the train lurched. She was bounced by it, but luckily not thrown out of bed. She kept still, eyes still closed, almost forgetting where she was for a moment. When things stopped she tried to think about her dream, it still being fresh in her memory. For the past few nights she had been having bad dreams like that. They always left her heart aching.

Jumping slightly when James touched her shoulder (she hadn't heard him come in), the agromancer blinked and looked up at him. They were heading out already? She hadn't gotten nearly enough sleep--she felt like she could sleep for another day at least.

"Just toss me in a small suitcase and roll me along behind you." She murmured, rubbing her eyes, "I'll fit."

[Alan :: The Betting Table]

Alan had hoped to avoid getting his summon involved, but it was becoming clear that even two-on-one, Cory was far from out classed, and this was a battle Alan simply could not afford to lose. Begrudgingly, he admitted that he had underestimated the swordsman's maniac strength. As Cory engaged with Kyle, Alan was glad for the reprieve even as he feared for Kyle's safety.

"Hey . . . Imouto-chan, can I ask you for a favor?"

She seemed to laugh.
"Favor? We're a team! It's not a favor - it's teamwork!"

"I thought we were a family. We're a team now?"

"Can't we be both?"

"Heh. I guess so." As quickly as he could, Alan explained his idea to her.

It would only be a matter of seconds before a scarlet streak would appear in the sky, heralding the arrival of an immortal blaze. Alan was already moving - there wasn't a moment to waste. He dashed over to where Kyle and Cory were engaged, tensing up just a little as he approached the visible disturbance. Alan put his trust in the strength of his resilience to magic, and boldly reached inside the area of Indomitable Will, grabbing Kyle by the arm and forcefully pulling him out and away from Cory's attack. As he did so, he subtly cast Regen on his partner.

"Sorry," he whispered, grimacing sympathetically, "this is gonna really sting in a moment."

[[Louis : Train : Lounge Car]]

Louis sat, all thwe while as explanations were passed around, holding back a chuckle as Kyle desperately tried to cover up the word, game. As if it's that big of a deal. I'm sure that it would make just as much sense if our connection to their world came in the form of an electronic. After all, Tron was connected to Radiant Garden by a computer interface. The existence of Kingdom Hearts in our world is probably the very reason we were targeted by the Heartless that devoured our world n the first place. We were connected and our door had been opened.

Louis coninued to stay sillent even as others filed out of the car and explored the rest of the train. Part of him tugged on going to meet with Jessie again, but he knew once the wind impacted the train that would have been a mistake. Glass shattered in the back of Louis' mind as he overheard Kyle mutter on word, "Chaos."

Chaos? It can't be... why is he here? Louis thought just before having himself thrown to the side along with his chair onto the floor by another gust just before they landed, D#@% it... if he's reacting anything like Mateus did to Ultima's presence, this is a disaster. I doubt without using Mateus' power I could even scratch the surface of Chaos' ability. If things go as I expect, my entire plan could be ruined and following Seymour's orders may become impossible. D^$% it, D&#@ it, D*%# it!

Louis slammed his palm onto the floor and pushed himself up, glancing to Kyle with a irritated glare, passing off a joke along with his frustration, "I know the weather by the ocean can change pretty fast, but this is just ridiculous don't you think?"

After standing up entirely and setting his chair back upright he looked around and asked, "Is everyone alright?"

[ Zordon : Angel Grove : Coast -> The Command Center ]

"Yes, I am Zordon. It is good to see so many allies coming to the aid of the city," the bodiless face spoke, his deep voice strangely reverberating throughout the room. He wore a particularly analytical look as he glanced at Cloud. "But it is very strange, to find so many new Rangers simply arriving without notice. What brings you to Angel Grove?"
PostPosted: Mon Aug 30, 2010 4:36 pm

{James : Train : Sleeping Car}

James quickly withdrew his hand as Noelle jumped slightly, he hadn't meant to startle her. Apparently though she hadn't heard him come in. Based upon the way she was acting, it was pretty evident that she had not gotten enough sleep. He couldn't help but chuckle at her response regarding the suitcase. For some reason, he didn't doubt that if she folded herself up right, she probably could fit in one.

"Without a suitcase, that really isn't an option." He replied, still chuckling lightly, offering his hand to help her up if she needed it.

His thoughts turned to what Kyle said regarding Chaos, just because the Scion was causing trouble didn't mean that they were going to be attacked. Still though, if Chaos reacted to Ultima the way that Mateus had... it was going to be trouble.

{Leon : Angel Grove : Command Center}

Leon appeared in the command center in the same flash of light as the other's though just in a flash of white since he did not have one of the strange suits that the kids had gained. He looked around the strange room that they had been teleported to. It reminded him a bit of the lab that they had found in Radiant Garden where the DTD was. Though it was definitely more hi-tech. He turned to look at the head of the room and daw the large projected head that Cloud was now talking to.

"Didn't expect to see something like this... Who is this Ivan Ooze?" He asked of Billy, turning his attention away from Zordon.

{Kuro Oni : The Flying Dutchman : Deck}

{{Cue: Man on Fire}}

After the replicas had finished their meeting, Kuro Oni had walked back onto the deck. His unversed, an eery ghost of James' life, hadn't moved. He stayed where he was, his back leaning against the railing of the ship. In a burst of dark energy, Kuro Oni's version of "The Black Coffin" the hexagun that his original had, was in his hand. A look of disgust evident on his face, the weapon was nice for causing pain, the bullets so fast that one couldn't really dodge them.

'It's so limited in it's abilities... Why do I continue to use it.?' He thought, his blood red eyes not leaving the gun.

"I should just... get rid of it!" He yelled out, tossing it into the air where it disappeared into darkness.

He brought his arms up, crossing them over his chest, beginning to gather the dark energies that surrounded him. He then brought his hands up above his head and brought them down, a shock wave erupting from the released Dark Wave. The energy mostly dispersed aside from what looked like dark red and black flames that lingered on his hands. He looked at them for a minute with a twisted smirk on his face and then clenched them into fists, the flames dying out. He looked out at the sea once again and cackled, feeling the power course through his body.

[ Kyle ; Sora ; Kuja : Port Royal : Lounge Car ]

"Hey, Jacob!" Sora said, ignoring James' outburst as he grinned at the new male. "Big storm outside or something. Ready to leave?"

Walking over to the door, Kyle bit the side of his lip, staring outside. The wind blew in fiercely, yet he didn't seem to budge; he was more than used to standing against powerful gusts, having been raised a region struck by hurricanes at their strongest.

Chaos, Walker of the Wheel, Scion of Taurus, born of the Wind.

His canine tooth could practically break the skin if he pressed a bit harder as he remained rooted in place, at the threshold of the Lounge Car and the valley leading toward Port Royal. He had yet to summon his weapon, though it might have been wise. After all, if Chaos was anything like Mateus (and Kyle was willing to bet the Wind-Elemental was more unstable), then Kyle was at the top of his hitlist.

They want Ultima. Ultima is bound to me.

He glanced over his shoulder at the others as they prepared; Louis' comment had gone unnoticed as he scanned the rest of the group. They were all capable fighters (though Jacob and Sayrike's talent had yet to be measured), but at the same time, Chaos would merely throw them aside in favor of him.

It's simple logic.

Turning back to stare outside, his eyes narrowed, Kyle inhaled slowly. He couldn't put them in danger, but he also couldn't beat Chaos without them, if Mateus was any sign of their power. There was only one course of action that would keep them out of danger, but would also get them the victory they needed.

They'll have to catch up.

He clutched something in his pocket, twisting it over and over for a moment before bringing his hand back out. Without a word, Kyle swiftly knelt low to the floor of the train, as if preparing for a race, before Vaulting out with small flash of light trailing after him.

"Hey, HEY WAIT-!" Sora shouted, having seen Kyle kneel down and burst out of the train. He ran to the door, watching with his jaw dropped as Kyle cut through the air, already dozens of meters away. There was another small flash, and he'd Vaulted again, and again, leaving them in the dust. He'd get to the port in a matter of seconds, long before they arrived.

"Agh!" he shouted, grabbing his head with both his hands before looking around at the others. "What is he doing?! We're not ready yet!"

[ Kyle : Isle of Tortuga : Port ]

Kyle had, in fact, reached the slightly-decimated Port of Tortuga far ahead of the others, stopping his constant Vault-ing once he reached the entrance. The winds were much more powerful here, but Kyle managed to push through, his body enveloped in a bright golden energy. He glared around, looking for any sign of the Scion- but all he saw was buildings having their roofs slowly ripped off and innocent people fleeing out of the city.

"CHAOS! COME AND GET ME!"

[Joe: Port Royal: Training Car -> Stable Car -> On the Way to Tortuga]

Joe shortly followed Dawn out of the training car, smiling. Yeah, him and Dawn definitely made progress. Always a good thing.

Of course, with that giant wind flowing into the stable car, Joe was automatically at the door, feeling already that the wind wasn't normal. Looking. Searching. Watching...Kyle vault off towards the town. Greeeeat.

"JESUS F***ING CHRIST WHAT IS F*** IS WRONG WITH HIM?!" Joe yelled, partially out of anger at the apparently stupid move on the dragoon's part, as well as to be heard over the roaring of the wind.

"Dawn! Gather everyone willing and head them out towards the place where the wind is coming from! I'm going to make sure Kyle survives whatever he's trying to pull. Be fast, but be prepared, too!"

Looking where Kyle vaulted off, Joe nodded. "Be strong!" He yelled, partially to Dawn, partially to himself. And with that, he ran off in the direction Kyle went off, and the source of the wind, bo ready in his hand and his own wind fighting off the wind that blew and howled in the air from whatever was causing it.

I swear to God, Kyle, I'm going to wring your neck.

[Nick/Chaos :: Tortuga]

Chaos was taking over Nick's body, and the teen could do nothing to stop it. The Walker of the Wheel wanted his revenge, and he was going to have it whether Nick wanted him to or not. So Nick let his consciousness slip into his mind, and watched Chaos use his body to dash towards the host of Ultima. Despite not being that much of an athletic person, Chaos seemed to be running in overdrive and moved with a psychotic grace.

"ULTIMAAAAAAAAAAA!" Chaos roared, staring at the blonde youth in front of him. He was wearing a long green jacket with golden armor underneith. It was quite interesting to watch the battle from a first person observing perspective. I wonder what people would pay for this kind of view. To see everything from the inside of a body yet have absolutely no control over it. As Nick pondered upon this, Chaos had begun to make multiple hand signs, and with each one, four long blades appeared, floating in the air and ready to strike.

"It has been a long time, hasn't it? But I have been patient, and I have earned this moment, angel. Prepare to have your host's blood spilled upon this city of debauchery, where law is almost non-existant. I'm afraid to say that this town is my domain, Ultima. Now, prepare to die!" And with that final roar, Chaos charged at Kyle in full sprint, the floating swords following right behind him.

[Kichi :: Angel Grove :: Outside Red Rose -> Command Center]

Kichi nodded to Billy, indicating he was ready, and soon after that, found himself in the Power Ranger Command Center. He looked around excitedly, before they were greeted by Alpha 5. "Hello." He said, and looked up to the tube where Zordon would appear, when he did. Then he was nudged in the ribs by Amy. Teleporting must have not kept their placement in the group. "Hey, that's Zordon." He whispered, followed by a quiet "Man...this is awesome."

He noted Cloud talking to Zordon, who asked of why the rangers had appeared without notice. Taking a few steps forward, Kichi spoke. "Zordon, we are eager to help, but we are also on a mission. We are looking for a companion of ours, a mouse of nobility. We think, he might know of what is going on, and what is causing all this ruckus, here and elsewhere. He may even have found a way to fix things. Unfortunately, we do not know of his whereabouts, and thus, we are on a mission to find him. If you've seen him and could tell us where he was heading, or could at least help us figure that out, that would be most appreciated." Finishing with a nod and a slight bow (as per his habit), he looked hopefully to the floating face, waiting on a response.

[Train ~ Sleeping Car]

Noelle smiled and sat up, taking James' hand to pull herself out of bed. The sleep, though it was little, did her some good. Even if she still looked dreadful. She was far from energetic, but her tank had a little more gas now. It was time to keep trekking. However, she had no idea what awaited them, all she could do was assure herself that she was ready for anything. She had four extra days . . . well what seemed like four, but was really just a night, to improve, and improve she did. Titan was sure of that.

"Well, let's head out then. We have an agenda, I'm sure." Noelle said, her voice a little more energetic than her body conveyed.

[Tortuga ~ Outside Train]

The moment they landed, Jack was stepping out of the dining car exit onto the island that was so familiar to him . . . or not. His face showed hardly any sign of distress. Instead, he seemed rather thoughtful. Then Kyle left the train, causing him to jump slightly. Those bloody children and their strange abilities, hopping around everywhere, doing this and that. It was bothersome.

"Devils and black sheep . . . really bad eggs . . ." He murmured under his breath, catching his hat as it threatened to blow away.

Prote stepped off the train behind Jack. He was unaware of what Tortuga was supposed to look like, so he assumed all was normal. Until one of the children took off, another following shortly after. It was clear from the others' response that this was not in the plans. He made a decision to follow as well, knowing that a smaller group would likely need more assistance than the rest of them. Prote phased, controlling the dust-like particles of his being so that they would form a different being. After solidifying again, it was easy to see what he was. A sleek jungle cat stood where he had just moments ago and took off after the two boys. They were fast, but he could catch up if he tried.
