Kay had awakened immediately after being caught but sat listening to the group close to him. Etsushi wanted Kay to go with her to Mist. Fine. Zane had told him the history of the infinite style and how it was a peace thing between mist and konoha. It would be logical to go there to try and further his training. It was all fine with him, but then David spoke. He invited himself, well more like inserted himself, into the trip there. Great... Kay's interactions with him on a social level had led him to see David as the type he would try and NOT go on journeys with. He suddenly lost about ten percent of his interest in going. Sushi wanted information though, and as he proved during the battle, Information was Kay's weapon. The simple fact that you have knowledge often makes you a target and an asset. But all of his thoughts were lost when Sora came into earshot. For a moment he kind of watch her walking, but a new aura picked his interest just as much. She was a kind of ominous figure in the way she walked. He had enjoyed Sora's voice a lot, but when she spoke, he couldn't help but sit up and tur his ears in her direction. As she finished the small sentence he had already gathered enough info to know to be wary of her. As it was written in every history book, every woman of beauty and songbird like voices ever had a hidden agenda. Cleopatra, well she killed her own sister! And even her sister had planned to take the throne from her. Marilyn Monroe, sunas most stunning koinoichi had slept with the kazekage... and had killed him for power. Angeline Jolie... well we all remember sodium chloride (salt) right? Jokes aside, Kay turned his smokey eyes to her, hoping to see though he knew he couldn't. This one was one he would have to watch, for his own sake. Sora's recognition gave him a different view though. She seemed happy to see her. Like she had been gone and was returning or something along those lines. Either Sora was in league with her, or he would need to stop judging. Either way He smiled at Etsushi, turning his head to her without averting his sightless eyes from the apparent friend of Sora.
"Thank you Sushi-sempai," he said rising and dusting himself off. The other shinobi, each unique in sound but still just a large mass of grey matter to him, received no kind of reaction or even glance. He kept his eyes on the new girl, replaying her voice, looking for anything to dissect and see into. He didn't like the habit he was picking up of analyzing everything. He shook away his thoughts and held out a hand to lift Etsushi with, very carefully. As she stood up a chuunin came dashing through the crowd, brushing past Kay, a piece of grey matter simply moving past him. But his words made him more. No way Zane survived that explosion. He looked frantically around for an answer to how, left to right his eyes moved, giving the illusion to anyone that he could see. Avoiding a flurry of questions from anyone who didn't know, he slammed them shut and stood up. He spoke then loud enough for anyone to hear. "Well he would clearly be on his last legs if he somehow did survive his suicide bombing. SInce no one here is really battle ready besides him," he said giving a nod towards David, "I say we let him leave for now. Knowing him he has somekind of trick up his sleeve and as far as the village and the residents are concerned another battle would be bordering on suicide ma'am. Other than that, I'm ready to go whenever you are Etsushi," he said leaving David to take from the message what he would. Kay found it strange that He had been well informed of the battle taking place, and seemed to have had intentions to join it, but conveniently had not participated in anyway.

He was even more surprising than she had imagined. Etsushi looked at David, the muscles in her shoulders tightening. She didn't know him, and didn't want him to be the one to journey with her and Kay to Kiri.
Etsushi's eyes fluttered over to the raven haired girl, her pale hues locking with the new girl's eyes. A flicker of emotion flashed through her eyes. Hatred, anger, suspicion, blood lust, and finally killing intent. The next second it was gone and her face was stotic and blank. She turned her attention back to Kay, the only person she looked at without a cold expression. Her eyes were warm, or at least, warm for the red haired girl, and she nodded her head curtly, "Right... lets go... the sooner the better."✖✖✖✖✖ Chakra: 101/120

Mood: Determined No pleasure

Jade drummed her fingers against her arms, looking at Etsushi. The importance of the mission couldn't be brushed away, but weather or not she was in fit condition to go was another story. Kay had just been promoted, and therefore had a lot of work to do, but they had the most experience against the enemy. Now, what truly irked her was the fact that David had spoken out of line, as if he could get what he wanted. Jade turned to him first, her eyes set in a state of indifference. "You'll not assume you can do what you want when you want David." She said, giving him a stern look. "Do you know the terrain of Kirigakure? There isn't any sand if you aren't near a beach. Look around, what do you see. Sand. Here, you are all powerful, there you are a liability." It wasn't just his strength she was talking about. Jade was sure his attitude and 'personality' would get him in trouble with his team mates.
Jade turned to Etsushi now. "Go to the gates first, and see what the issue is. If you can stop him there, please do so. Kay, you may go a long with her. This is your first mission as a chuunin, and it shall be an A-Rank if you can find and finish Zane." She then turned to the girl who had spoken to her, and nodded her head, letting her know that she was free now. Just before that, she gave a look to Aeden, and gestured to Etsushi, and raised an eyebrow. She wanted to know if she was mentally stable, and if not, wanted Aeden to be around her just in case.

"No one ever listens to the guy that knows the medical mumbo-jumbo. No, why would they do something like that?" Aeden rubbed his temples, then nodded. "She's allowed to go, but I'm going with her. She still needs a re-examination, and they'll need me if Kiri starts bringing out their torches and pitchforks. Heh heh... always wanted to sink a village... Er, anyway! The work at the clinic will be tiresome, but the work itself should be easy enough for the staff to handle. That being said, I'd like Sora to join in on this one too; give her some experience in other villages."
He rubbed the back of his neck, trying to get his thoughts in check. That was the issue with Aeden: if his chakra wasn't running wild, his brain was. It annoyed him, but something he'd have to live with. There was also a reason to go to Kiri, which Jade may or may not have known: the Sonozaki family resided within Kiri. That place was the birthplace of Shion and Mion, the latter being his mentor, and if Old Man Sonozaki was still around, they had some things to discuss. So yes, he was using this as an excuse to either cut long loss ties or gain some. Even Aeden had things he could learn, but the sources were limited.

She hadn't known him long but, she had found that she liked him and he deserved this. He also protected her from Zane's final explosion. Smiling she noticed some movement. It was Akura. To her surprise, the slight rippling chill didn‘t descend down her spine as it usually did when someone‘s eyes was traveling over her, making her wonder if he was curious or suspicious. Her body was tensed, every muscle fiber on edge as she waited for him to turn his gaze away from her, which he did before addressing the aggressive woman as “Sushi-senpai.” The words almost made her want to laugh. Almost. But it wasn‘t his analysis of her that had her turning around. It was a new voice. A new old voice. She turned on the spot, locking her eyes with a petite girl who had violet hair and piercing eyes. Sora.xxxx”Sora. Nee-chan.” Sakaye‘s shell pink lips turned up a bit at the corners, the flat blankness leaving her midnight eyes as she observed the girl. She was walking slowly, making almost no noise as she approached Sakaye, her voice soft and curious. It could be no one except for Sora. Sakaye‘s words were warm and welcoming as she greeted the kunoichi that she thought of as a younger sister, dragging a hand through her ebony hair to sweep her bangs back, the puckered pink scar standing in sharp contrast with the alabaster color of her skin. It took her several seconds to realize that Sora was addressing her, using her old alias, the only name she had ever been known by until her disappearance. “It has been a while since I was last called that.” The terse statement blended with the small grim smile, with the distant sadness in her obsidian eyes, with the sigh that escaped her lips as she spoke. “I am happy to see you are well. I will find you later and you can bring me up to speed on Suna, yes?” Without waiting for an answer, she clasped her arms around Sora for a millisecond before releasing her and turning back to the Kazekage and the woman with the red hair.xxxxCharcoal eyes locked onto the woman‘s face as the redhead‘s face flashed through several emotions at once, raising her eyebrows and turning away dismissively. I was appointed by Koizumi Nastumi, who was the Kazekage several years ago, and I participated in the Chuunin exams. Trauma at the time of the exams forced my hand and I took an extended leave to train in the desert. I have been trained by the ex-Kazekage herself, though that is not always something to brag about,” Sakaye‘s statement was accompanied by a mirthless chuckle. “I was also trained by Matsuya Komihachi, ex-Hokage and the head of the Nara clan before his disappearance. My affinities lie with Fuuton and Kageton jutsu. I would like to request training by you. People speak of a taijutsu style that makes a person faster than the eye can see, developed completely by you. Jade smiled at Aeden's mini rant, knowing he was right. She never enjoyed having him away from her, but if it was necessary Jade would live with it. Jade reached out and touched Aeden's arm in a tender way. "Be careful my love. Guard them well, for I would tear down the sky if anything happened to them." Jade's words were spoken softly, only for Aeden to hear. She was interested in how Sora would do in the field, though again wondered about her safety. Mist had a history of being, well bloody. Since their new Mizukage, the young prodigy, the village had been making a new name for itself. Jade brushed a strand of hair from her face, and turned at the girl who began to speak of herself.
Apparently she was a returning member, who had received training from Koizumi, who Jade had dispatched herself. Matsuya Komihachi though was another story. Jade eyed the girl as she spoke, taking in her appearance. She wanted to learn Shunko, Jade's personal style. The only people who had ever actually studied under Jade and were accepted truly were Kay, Akura, and a lady named Elise. Jade crossed her arms under her chest, and raised an eyebrow. "Running raw chakra through your body can result in broken or even shattered bones. Shunko, is raw chakra. Coupled together with you hitting things with your hands and legs, there is an extremely high chance that you may loose control of it, and cause your bones to shatter. Not only that, raw chakra burns your skin." Jade held her arm out, and pulled her sleeve back, revealing the abstract pattern of burns on her arm. "Shunko isn't for the light of heart. What makes you think you're prepared for this?" Jade asked, wanting to know if this girl was actually worth teaching.

He knew better than anyone the weakness he would suffer in Kiri as compared to Suna, but he also didn't see where it mattered on a diplomatic mission. He would have argued the matter, but Jade's immediate redirection of attention literally left no room for argument. The chuunin messenger caught his attention for a moment, but he had no appetite left for hunting cowards now. Turning, the boy was about to leave when a new arrival caught his eye. A face he recognized, but couldn't place a name to. After several seconds though, he pieced it together. Shayera. That annoyance's supposed daughter figure. In an oddly vindictive moment, remembering their first meeting, David smirked, looking directly at the girl and mouthed two simple words. "She's dead." He hadn't seen any sign of the girl since the chuunin exams, and her reintroduction of herself indicated to him that she hadn't been around, which meant there was a good chance she didn't know that particular fact. Before any reaction could be made, a cloud of sand burst from within the boy's clothing, wrapping around him in a large ball before sinking down into the ground and vanishing. A special show for the kazekage, as if to say even if he left the desert, he could still take it with him. [Exit to Market] ~ [Chakra: 86/90]

Kay exhaled a little as he popped up off of the ground. He popped his knuckles and spine and then his neck. He was beyond ready to leave on his first chuunin mission. He listened carefully when the kazekage spoke up, her words reaching his ears and channeling her emotion through them. Zane had survived, but the village had anbu that were trained to deal with such things. In fact, where had they been during all this. Either way Kay was generally unconcerned with Zane at this point. But if he could find and finish him off... an A rank mission! That would be utterly perfect. Regardless, when Hinote was rejected it only served to give him so childish sense of satisfaction, but he didn't react. Just before Kay spoke, Aeden made his joke. Kay shrugged, he didn't mind Aeden's company. That just meant he could gather info from him. And he wanted to bring Sora! Awesome! So Kay got to travel with her and the others would tag along. Or however this was going to go. Kay nodded to Sushi, Aeden, and to Sora, and began walking away. Just as he made it to the door he was hit with something. A voice. Shay had spoken again. This time here sentence radiated respect and knowledge, as well as being enough to make Kay listen. He looked back towards them both, listening to jades words and reading body language and tone. "Sensei, she survived living alone in the desert for around a year. As a student and practitioner, I think she can take it," he looked to her as he spoke, and then put both hands on his head and continued to walk, running the last few minutes over and over in his head. [Exit to the gates.]

Sora's face fell slightly when the girl she knew as Shayera introduce herself as another name. But it made sense. Shinobi were always using aliases, always changing names to avoid detection. The girl she knew as "Shay Nee-san" probably never existed. But Sora didn't mind. After all, it was a part of life. "Sakaye..." Sora whispered the name to herself. She would have to remember that if she ever wanted to move on. "Yes, ma'am." Sora's reply was short and concise, but her voice still held the familiar kind softness that it always had.
"Me?" Sora gasped when Aeden mentioned taking her to Mist. The little voice inside of her head that represented reason told her that she was too weak to go. That she would only hold everybody back. Just when she was about to reject the offer, another voice rang in the back of her head, different from the other voice. How else will you become stronger? Sora's entire mindset seemed to change at that point as she gently shifted her weight from one foot to the other. Challenge your weaknesses. Never give up. "If you don't mind, sir, I would love to accompany you to Kirigakure," Sora said with a warm smile as she shifted her weight yet again. Finally, a chance to get out of the village!
Sora looked at Kay just as he nodded to her and walked out of the training facility. Oh, right. He was going, too. Sora didn't mind at all, but his very presence off-set her slightly. He had a glassy look to his eyes, and pupils that never seemed to focus. Was he blind? Either way, it didn't particularly matter to her. She nodded to the rest of the shinobi in the facility before she calmly began walking back toward the medical facility. If she was an accompanying medic, she would need to pack a few things. Who knew what the terrain was like in Kirigakure (besides wet)?

..................................................................................................................................................✖✖✖✖✖ Etsushi rose an eyebrow when Jade told David he couldn't go, which was all to well for the Jounin as she didn't know and therefore didn't like the Ichibi host. She heard Jade's orders to go to the gate, and stiffly and curtly nodded her head, but she knew it was worthless to try and stop him. Her bandaged arms were useless at the moment for any hardcore fighting. Aeden has healed her arms up, but even med nins could only do so much. She would need a few weeks before she would be able to fight up to her usual fighting ability again.
Etsushi looked down at her bandaged arms her eyes softening as she took in the virtually worthless limbs. Her arms crossed over her chest and she looked back up at Aeden and Kay in time to hear the end of whatever Aeden was saying. She knew who Sora was from the time she had woken up in the hospital the first time. Come to think of it, hadn't it been Aeden that was trying to attack her or something? Etsushi tilted her head to the side, trying to remember, but blinked when she couldn't and shrugged it off. She followed after Kay, her thoughts swirling around in her head.

The ANBU nearest the kazekage's radio crackled to life as Tachi's report came in from the gate. The ANBU held his hand against the earpiece for several moments, pressing it in to increase the clarity of the message, and hear it over the lingering throngs of people. Once the message ended, the ANBU immediately went to the kazekage and relayed the report word for word.

Jade's eyes narrowed at the ANBU. "Have that man backhanded for his unnecessary comments." She shook her head. "He's my husband anyway." Jade ran a hand through her hair, and gazed around. Akura was missing for some reason. Then Jade noticed some girl she had never seen before in any dossiers. She must have been new, and was obviously a Sunaling, due to the hita-ate she bore. Jade extended her hand, and motioned for the girl, Rei to come to her. When she came close, Jade spoke. "Is there something you need?"
