Ares glared at her. "Fine, whatever. You're just a little patch of sunshine today, aren't you?" He chose to completely ignore her comment on his armor. He rather liked it, to be honest.

She rolled her eyes and looked back down at her textbook. Then, she sighed in frustration, slammed the book closed, and put it back in her bag. She stood up, slung the bag over her shoulder, and started to walk in the direction of the stairs.

"See what I mean?" he demanded, watching her head off for a moment before following. "You're in a pissy mood. I want to know the hell why, 'cause I sure as hell didn't do it this time."

Ever rolled her eyes but began to walk down the stairs. Maybe she'd go to the cafeteria, maybe she'd go outside...
She smirked darkly as she thought of the perfect place to go. The lake. The lake seemed to hate gods that weren't students here at Bai Ching.
"Well then, we'll just say it's your whole race. Though, I'm not pissy, so it doesn't really apply, anyway."

Ares struggled to contain the 'Ah-ha!' that threatened to come out as she (technically, in his mind) confirmed that she was pissed. "Yeah, yeah, whatever. So what god's gotcha mad now? Or what about gods?" He didn't pay attention to where she was headed, just following her rather absentmindedly.

Ever cried out in frustration and swung around to face Ares on the flight of stairs that connected the 2nd floor to the ground level.
"Ugh! Right now, the only god that has now made me pissy is you! I was just fine and happy before you showed up. Thanks a whole hell of a lot!"
She swung back around and started to jog down the rest of the stairs and then run out the front entrance of the school.

Aphrodite was lounging by the lake, dipping her feet absently in the water. She didn't bother to conceal her identity... most students were indoors anyway. The lake was so calm now compared to the previous night. Sighing, she lifted her delicate foot out of the water and watched as ripples disturbed the calm.

Ares almost laughed--instead, a brief chuckle was the only thing to make it out of his throat--and he followed Evermore, easily keeping pace despite the heavy armor. "That's more like the Evermore I know! I was beginning to think you'd lost your passion!"

Ever was jogging over to the lake now, and she never jogged.
"Apparently not for you..."
She then groaned when she realized what that sounded like.
"Ugh! I didn't mean it like that! I just mean that I..."
She stopped at the edge of the lake when she saw Aphrodite cooling her feet in the lake. Well great... Wait a minute. She was cooling her feet in the lake. And the lake wasn't attacking her. Even better! The lake apparently didn't attack gods at random just for being near the lake!
She groaned again and practically threw her bag down to the ground. She started to walk around the lake, toward a large tree, in the opposite direction of Aphrodite.

Ares didn't bother hiding his amusement at her sentence. "I like your fire, Evermore. It's nice." She could take that however she wanted. It would probably be true in almost any case, whether she liked that thought or not. He saw Aphrodite, but continued to follow Evermore. He could only deal with one unpredictable woman at a time, thank you very much.

Something disturbed the calm. Tossing her blond hair over her shoulder, Aphrodite turned to look, her sweet face curious. The look changed to irritation when she saw Evermore. Great.
Rolling her eyes at the girl's childish reaction, she saw Ares following like some sick puppy dog behind her in his armor... Gods above, did he have to look so sexy in it? She gave a small wave and a smile at the pair, dipping her feet in the water again.

Ever hadn't seen Aphrodite wave since her back was still to her as she walked over to the tree. Even though she could get the shadows to hoist her up into the tree, it wouldn't allow her to physically exert herself in any manner. She liked to do that when she was becoming frustrated.
So, even though she was in a skirt, having chosen to wear the skirt instead of the pants today for her school uniform, she started to climb up the big tree.
She forced out a few words as she did so. "If you like fire so much... then go... play in some."

Ares waved, somewhat dismissively, at Aphrodite, paying more attention to Evermore. He watched her climb for a moment, but looked away eventually. He didn't want to get her mad because he had looked up her skirt or something. "I already am, dearest Fury," he said. "You are quite like fire."

Finally, when she was sitting on a branch halfway up the tree, she crossed her arms and laid back against the trunk with a huff. She even blew her bangs out of her eyes. Raven had gone to Ever's room to get situated and learn where everything was awhile ago. So it was just Ever up in the tree now.
Even though she knew better, she glared down at Ares and shouted down a reply.
"But I'm not, physically, a damn FIRE! Go play in a real one! Or better yet, go play in that lake and see how long you can last there!"

"Ah, but Evermore," Ares said, raising a finger and shaking his head, "I would drown in all this armor." He smirked. "Of course, I could take it off and then go into the lake." He wasn't really wearing much underneath the armor.
