Rapture blinked a second. One moment she was in front of him, the next behind him. She was too quick for him to know just where she was going to strike, so reflexitively, his wings scrunched together to try and block him. Rather than his wings, he felt a foot connect with the back of his head. His feet slid on the pool under him, and a mess of tendrills shot out in front of him to sink into the ground. He easily moved over his tendrils, and landed a little ways away from the pool the witch had placed under him.
His smile, though, was still in place. She was quick. Very quick. This was going to be fun.

Alright, so he wasn't quite as FAST as the symbiotes she was used to. Whatever that was worth. Even as she turned around to face him, she was bringing out some kind of weapon... Like some kind of futuristic hand cannon. Without giving him a chance to react, she fired-- and showed exactly what kind of cannon it was. Sonic energy shot straight toward the creature's head in a thick beam, and she muttered, "Go to hell." Not that you could hear her.

Rapture went to dodge, but whatever the beam was, it had already made it to him before he could move. To his surprise, it wasn't as damaging as he thought it would have been. It was definately going to give him a headache if he stayed there too long, and his ears were starting to ring, but that was it. What was this...sonic frequencies? Probably a weakness of these symbiotes the woman mentioned. Well, he'd have to keep that in mind should he come across one.
Without another thought, he launched himself onto the side of another building. Then, he lept onto another, and back again, drawing closer to the woman. He didn't go quite as fast as he could go. He was playing after all. Reaper and the boy might have had the newest type of Blood there was...but his Blood was still better than any of his creations.

What the-- Cat instantly dropped the gun and started moving backwards. This was different, and she didn't know what to do with the difference. Suddenly she changed direction, jumping up, grabbing ahold of a light pole, and swinging around it before letting go. This caused her to go shooting back toward the torso of her pursuer, feet first.

Rapture's grin widened as he watched her. He waited, and just as her feet were about to connect, a mass of tendrils shot out and wrapped around her legs. He left the thorns off of these ones, as well as the trident-like tips. He didn't want to cut her up...just yet.

Cat's claws were out and slicing before she could think better of it. Dammit, this was just like that one time with Venom... except sonics didn't work! She slashed through enough to extricate her legs, slashed at his face one last time for good measure, and then tried to flip off and away.

Rapture landed on the ground, part of his tendrils at full length, and part of them sliced in half. A few long slashes ran down the side of his face that wasn't horned or armored. His smile was still in place, and if anything, seemed to have grown a bit. He placed a hand up to his face, then down to look at it. A bit of blood on his fingers. A scratch should be good enough. "Well, first blood is yours...Cat, was it? Suppose it's my turn now, hm?" he purred. His large wings extended out a bit, casting more of a shadow over his features. His tail snapped at the air behind him, and the hornes on his body grew out a bit. "I'll let you make the first move again if you'd like."

Cat hesitated for a second, her expression intensely thoughtful. She didn't like his expression. But... Danny was there, right? What was she worried about? Still, her stance was definitely defensive now, whereas it had been fairly confident before. Crossing her arms, she leaned back against a wall. " I've got enough goo on my costume, but thanks all the same," she replied lightly. Maybe if she played the cautious kitty for a while, she'd be able to figure out what made this suit tick.

Raptures smile grew just a bit more. "Oh? Blood or still part of my tendrills?" Either way, he could manipulate them from this distance. Wrap her up so she couldn't use those claws, then he could easily take her away. But, he seemed to have knocked her confidence down a bit already, that might simply panic her. Not that he'd mind that either...he'd just have to keep a good grip on her.
Casually, he started walking towards her. "I can always reattatch the tendrils." he continued, emphesising it by waving a few of them in the air around him.

She raised an eyebrow. "Not literally," she said, her tone suggesting that he couldn't be the brightest bulb on the christmas tree, "It's called banter. You're pretty knew at this, aren't you?" Without seeming to expend any real effort, she crouched, and the next second she was on the roof of the building instead of leaning against one of its walls. "Any particular reason why you're so interested in Reaper? Not that he isn't interesting, but this seems to be a special case. Most of this show was for him, wasn't it?" It was just a guess, of course, but if she could keep him talking...

Before he answered, Rapture's wings expanded to their full length, and thrust towards the ground as he lept into the air. He was launched into the air, a good couple feet from the roof of the buildings. "Not at all. Most of this 'show' was for me actually." he replied as he slowly floated down onto the roof next to the one Cat was on. "You're right about me being new to this. I haven't had much of a chance to test my abilities out in actual combat." he said. He was going to avoid the Reaper topic if possible. Too much of a chance of him thinking something he shouldn't. Plus, from here he'd be able to keep an eye on the witch as well.

Unfortunately, Cat was no longer on the roof. When he'd flown up, she'd jumped up, and when he landed to continue talking, she descended directly on his head before he could realize that she'd moved. She struck out with her right hand's claws, quickly followed by a spinning kick-- both were aimed at bits of him that did not have armor or spikes. Hopefully, one or both of them would knock him back off the roof. "Right. You're telling me the building full of bloody dead people wasn't for his benefit?"

Rapture felt the claws again, as well as another kick that sent him off the side of the roof. He recovered quickly enough that he'd only made it down the wall a foot or two before his tendrils shot out and sank into the wall, pulling him onto it. His claws took grip in the wall from there, and he carefully started back up it. She was definately fast. She'd make an excellent Blood being if ever given the chance. Still, if he was actually serious about trying to catch her, he'd be able to with his own speed. "Well, yes. Those were for Reaper. Though it was more for the chance to talk to him than it was for me to show off. I actually wanted to see him play around. But it seems the leash is too tight around his neck. Otherwise, since you apparently know him, I'm sure you'd have been dead by now. As well as the 'icon' down there."

Cat had been getting ready to find a better hiding place, or at least a more advantageous attack point, but his words stopped her cold. Reaper... would have killed her? Her eyes flicked over to look at him automatically. They hadn't exactly gotten to be friends, not in the short time that they'd been talking, but she'd thought that they'd been getting along fairly well. She'd understood his boredom and frustration to such an extent that she'd stolen a movie from Blockbuster for him. But... he wanted to kill her? AND Cap? She'd never really liked Cap-- much too stiff-- but...

Rapture took advantage of her distraction, and decided to use his full speed. He launched himself the rest of the way up the wall, and raced across it until he was directly behind her. A mess of tendrills, spiked and sharp this time, curled around her, but didn't exactly wrap around her. He just wanted to keep her from attacking him for the moment. His interest had changed a bit after noticing her focus had moved towards Reaper.
"What? Didn't you realize what kind of person you were talking to? A murderer with an uncontrolable lust for blood. He doesn't care about anyone but himself. The only person I can say he'd truely had love for was his mother. And he even cursed her name in the end."
Reaper, who had been watching and listening the entire time, was visibly becoming annoyed. Now, he wanted to know just who this man was. Since he apparently knew so much about him. Though, really he didn't. Otherwise he would have known that...well...he had no intentions of hurting Cat wether he was being forced to be good or not. As unusual as that was for him.
