OOC: I guess I should slowly start writing my story that I started many months ago. I may post this in DOFP too since it involves Petra... but seeing how that thread is dead, I don't know.
IC:
SOMEWHERE IN LIMBO:
The entirely place was just strange. Phenix wasn't entirely sure if the place was strange because of the people they were fighting with looked like they walked out of the Lord of the Rings (and not the nice looking people). Maybe it was because one of the people helping Illyana in her quest to maintain the throne of Limbo was Phenix's possible daughter from a future timeline. That would be enough to set anybody's world into a moment of strangeness.
So here is how the story goes...
The Journal of Phenix Asher Carmike DAY 30, Limbo Time
I don't usually write things down. Journals always seemed to be alot of drama and poetry for eternally depressed teenagers. Limbo isn't the Institute. There's not much to do besides eat, sleep, cause mischeif and fight your enemies. I'm sure there are other things to do, but in the state of total war and chaos, you're not given many options.
Illyana says time moves differently here. We've only been here 30 days. I tend to wonder when it is back home. Have we been gone years or minutes? She also says we're winning so maybe we'll be going home soon.
How did this all get started? Well, when we left the Institute to go help Illyana, we got to Limbo in a state of total war and panic. Magik, as she is known, is the ruler of Limbo. She gained that position by challenging the old ruler and winning by their laws in this challenge. Being that this place has a new ruler, the outsiders see it to be weakened and want to take over. Apparently Limbo has all kinds of its own magic and portals that can take you to all different worlds. If a non stable ruler were to control Limbo, it could spell doom for many realities... including my own.
The people of Limbo are of all sorts. We seem to have only met the ugly ones. Goblins, gouhls, and all kinds. Magik has said that there are normal looking creatures but I have yet to see any of them. They probably don't come out of the wood work in such battles. They are strong, but they tend to be stupid. She brought Piotr and myself for added strength and added fire power. She brought our future daughter for the same reason...
My future daughter... its a strange thing. She's a girl who is no older than me from a future that is yet to be from a marraige I am not yet involved with. But she's real, and to her, I am still her mother. It's very weird. I like the girl, though. She'd make whatever Phenix is her mother in whatever reality proud.
Illyana brought in some other people from other worlds and realities that she's met in her travels. There is an Amanda Sefton from one world where she's a blonde magician, unlike the one who attended Bayville. There are also Rasputin's who exist in other realities that are no our own. It's weird.
But needless to say, we're winning. Most of Limbo's portals and borders are secure. Most of the opponents are defeated. As long as we can seal off their access to other portals they can't bring in reinforcements, and if we can get more allies for Illyana she won't be dethroned as soon as we all leave.
But that is where we're at on day 30 of this battle for Limbo
"Echo, we need you to take your team down to the Southland border now. The Kang family seemed to sneak through a family of small dragons that are tearing appart the walls," Magik walked down to Phenix who was putting her journal back in a small satchel tied to her waist.
"Okay, but shouldn't you send Mercury since she's impervious to their heat?" Phenix didn't like the idea of dragons. Even with her fullest concentration, the heat would be overwhelming to her deflecting its energy.
"Daytripper is already working on a spell for you. Mercury is busy in the North," Magik didn't give it another thought and left Phenix herself. Phenix went to find Amanda Sefton before she rounded up her troops.
"Dragons, this is going to be a long day," Phenix sighed pushing her homesickness away.

Eric made his way down to Cerebro and ran inside the room. He saw Kitty and Jacen on the floor and Cassandra wearing a helment of some kind. He balled his hands into fist and ran towards her, ready to lash out at her.
Nicole got shot in the arm by one of the sentinals, pissing her off very much. She swung out at it hard and the chicken went crumbleing to the ground. She held her arm and looked around, there were more of them coming. "Could this day get any worse?" She moaned.

Cassandra could only look up helplessly from the floor as Eric lunged toward her.
“Ekkkk…. Mmm…. Chls…..” she said, stuttering.
“Whoever here may be healthy enough to do so,” called a voice from behind, belonging to none other than Xavier. “Kill her while you have the chance,” he said, coldly. He looked to Matthias, then to Kitty, then to Eric, and even to Jacen's limp form. He expected someone to act.

Eric stopped and looked back at the Professor. He seemed different. Hd Eric heard correctly? Kill her? Yes, that's what Eric wanted to do, but something in side of him wouldn't let him. Suddenly a vision hit and Eric saw himself once more between Cassandra the professor and the X-men in a white room. He cried out and ran towards Cassandra. "Get up!" He shouted at her. He grabbed her by the arm, trying to get her to her feet. "Get up!"

IN LIMBO:
"This is rediculous!" Phenix shouted and thumped herself down into a chair in the infirmary. Her skirmish in the Southland was successful, but she had a burn up her arm that hurt like hell. There was a flaw in the magic.
Amazingly enough, Piotr was getting a wound stitched up. Very rarely did he have to be in the infimary. Being steel had advantages that Phenix only wished she had. A not-so-friendly nurse grabbed her arm and started to rub some kind of cream on it. Phenix winced and stamped her foot.
"Ash, you knew this was not going to be easy," Piotr said from across the room.
"I know that, but we can't stay here forever. We have families, all of these reality jumpers have families and lives. And as soon as we leave, these things are going to get back in," Phenix waved her other hand towards the Southland wall.
Her raving was exactly quiet so she wasn't entirely surprised that Illyana's sword landed at her feet and wedged into the dirt to shut her up.
"And what do you propose, Echo, since you apparently are so much smarter than any of the advisors that have lived here their entire lives," Illyana put her hand on her hip.
Phenix shook her head, "Did you ever think they want you to fail? You're an outsider. You need those magics who are in hiding to come out of the woodwork and defend you. They're hiding well enough that nobody can get to them by normal goblin means. You need to get them on your side and get them to scare the pants off your enemies."
"Don't you think I haven't thought of that? They're not easy to get to, not even for me."
"No, I don't think you have thought of it, and I don't think you want them out in the open. I think you fear that they will take over your throne. But last time I checked, you are the one with the soul sword which makes you their leader." Phenix learned enough about this place to know that Illyana was wrong and not being advised well.
Illyana said nothing and stormed off. Piotr didn't say anything to her either. Phenix didn't care. She wanted to go home, but she had a promise to fufill.

Jacen was groggy for the most part. The remnants of a telepath's control. He saw what Kitty and done and did a mental victory dance. He tried to sit up when Kitty came over to him, but he couldn't right away. Her concern and his determination to get out of this funk drove him to stand against the wall, but nothing more than that.
"I'm fine, Kitty," Jacen squeaked out, "But I think my arm's broken...."
Kitty looked to help Jacen along when they both heard Xavier's call to kill Cassandra right there in her moment of weakness. Jacen grew anxious at that call. Kill her? Here was the Professor. One of the staunchest defenders of human life calling for the immediate execution of one of their enemies? Oh how Jacen's mind ran at that thought, but he didn't want to kill her. He had way too much blood on his young hands, too much for even the most insane adult.
His thoughts were disrupted when he saw one of the other students ran at Cassandra and tried to help her. Who was this child? Was he under her control? Unfortunately, Jacen couldn't. He was still too out of it at the moment.
"Someone stop that kid." Jacen barely was able to yell as he felt himself grow weak again. If he couldn't handle the situation, someone surely would do so. Kitty sat Jacen carefully down out of the way of the fight, but not so out of the way that he couldn't see what was happening.

Violet black hair long down to the middle of her back covering one of her eyes. She had brown eyes. She was 13 and short fo her age. Violet had just arrived at the insitute with a bag in one hand and a back pack in the other. She wasn't nervous but hoped she never came.

OOC: Ok, I'm sick of this, I take it we landed, so I'll post accordingly. If this is a mess up, I'll delete it, or someone else can, whatever, I just feel like posting. And also sorry if this messes up the pre-made story or whatever, like I said before, I can just delete it if it causes problems.
IC: Jamie jumped out of the X-Jet and ran into the mansion, finding students every which way fighting little sentinels. He looked around and saw a wooden baseball bat in a corner, and grabbed it, happy to have a weapon that could actually do some damage to the sentinels. He followed the trail of greatest destruction, taking out a few sentinels along the way before reaching cerebro, he looked in to see Jacen, Kitty, someone he recognised to be named Eric, and someone he had never seen before. He also saw the Professor looking angry. "Someone stop that kid." He heard Jacen say, and not seeing anyone react imediatly, Jamie dropped the bat and charged in, tackling Eric. "What are you doing? We're stopping her aren't we?" He hissed.
OOC: sweatdrop It was Eric Jacen was talking about right?

"I don't care who any of you are, but I'm not going to let you kill someone," I say, turning around to face the man in the wheelchair. "From what I've heard, you guys are supposed to be upholders of "justice" and "mercy". Some hero you are," I say coldly.

Eric struggled to get free. "Get off of me. . .you don't know what is happening . . .it's not supposed to end like this." He grunted. He pushed the guy off of him and went back to Cassandra's side. "GET UP!" He shouted, pulling her to her feet. Suddenly Nicole appeared in the room and was by her brother's side. "What the hell are you doing? That b***h is the cause of all of this." "If she dies now then we won't be able to stop whats coming." Eric snapped. Nicole frowned. "I won't help you save her." She replied coldly. "I'm not asking you too." Eric stared hard at his sister, then went back to helping Cassandra. "We don't need to kill her. Just lock her up somehwere." He shouted over at Xavior.

Xavier coughed, as if regaining his composure. "My children," he said solemnly, his face reading as though he was tortured inside. "You misunderstand me. Just now, as her body is broken, her mind is vulnerable for me to see what she truly is. Call her whatever your culture desires... my opposite, my yin, a mummundrai... she is an embodiment of my opposite. We're all born with a spirit that represents the opposite of everything we are. Even now I'm not sure if its a true spirit, or simply an ideal our brain forms... all I know is that my brain was powerful enough to give this opposite notion sentience."
He sighed sadly, as if ashamed for something that couldn't be his fault. "Cassandra isn't human, mutant, or anything of the like... you'll see that even now her body is reforming itself faster than Wolverine could. If she wakes up, she will most likely kill some if not all of you. I don't enjoy breaking from my own ideals but... this is not an enemy we can reason with.... God help me, but those of you who have weak stomachs had best not watch."
And with that, Xavier pulled out a gun that no one was ever supposed to know he had, and certainly was never supposed to be seen. It was meant as nothing more than a last resort in case his mind were ever hijacked... as surely he'd at least have enough time to silence himself before his mind was taken away. Not that it mattered now. He sighed... a single tear falling from his left eye as he unloaded three rounds into Cassandra's limp body.

"What the ******** was that. . .?" Jamie said as he stared from Cassandra's body to Xavier, then to the gun in his hand. Did I really just see Xavier kill her? It's Xavier! Jamie looked around. "Well, either that's not Xavier or it's more serious than any of us knew. There is no way that the Xavier I knew would kill somebody simply to get them out of the way. . ."
