He squeezed back, gently, smiling openly as he rolled onto his back.
"I was thinking about renting out the Star for a night, or maybe the coffee shop. But I know a couple things for sure. I want it to be a celebration of family and life, as much as them, that's why I want everyone to be invited. I was thinking a masquerade, and maybe even a talent show."

Jak rolled onto his back, crossing his arms behind his head." The coffee shop might not be big enough, the Star would work though." A smile played at his lips as he watched the other man. "A masquerade sounds like fun. Akki loves to dress up."

"A masqurade at the Star it is, then," he beamd softly, then reached over to pke Jak in the ribs, teasingly, gently, "Maybe you should be the one to take care of that part. Don't you know the guy who owns that place pretty well? Mikey, or whatever?" He slid his arm around Jak's waist, to remind him he was just teasing, not being hurtful.

"I can talk to Mikey if you want. Though from what he said his sister runs the Star." Grinning, he slid a hand down to rest on the arm looped around him, squeezing lightly. "When were you thinking of having it?"

"We could start planning things right now," he said, sitting up and stretching his arms behind his back, "But ... the whole Underground, not until next weekend, at least. It's gona be quite an undertaking." He dropped a hand to Jak's which rested against his hipbone now as he'd changed positions.

Jak slid his hand out from under Suru's, pushing himself up to sit beside him. "We should get started them," he murmured, one hand cupping the other's cheek, kissing him tenderly.

He kissed him back, gently, smiling and nuzzling his nose. "Mmmmmhm. Why don't we go over to the Star and get things worked out with the owner, then?"

Smiling, Jak brushed the other's hair back, then rose from the bed. "Let's see who we can round up there," he nodded, shoving his feet into his boots.

Suru stretched again, lazily, stumbling up and into a pair of jeans. He pulled his tunic on clumsily and shook his hair down. "I'll just leave a note for the girls and we'll be off then, hmm?"

Leaning in the doorway, his hands in his back pockets, Jak watched him with a grin. "Anytime you're ready."

Suru followed him out and flicked the lid of the mailbox open, hoping for an early royalty check. Instead, there was a hand-addressed envelope inside. "Hmmm ..." He lifted it out, and followed Jak onto the porch, starting to split it open, "Lookit, a letter from mum. I wonder if she's coming home soon."

A few short strides ahead, Jak looked back to smile lazily. "It would be great to meet her. Maybe she'll stay with the girls when we're away."

He sped up to catch up to him as he read, chewing his bottom lip and humming softly. "Well, she isn't coming home, but ... this is interesting ..." He looked up and grinned, wryly. "Even more family."

Jak paused at the end of the sidewalk, waiting for Suru to catch up. Grinning, he slid an arm around his waist, hooking his thumb in a beltloop. "Family is always great news. Maybe a brother this time?"

"Looks like," he said, still reading as he leaned against JAk, "He's ... about Ophelia's age. His name is December. He'll be here in a few days, maybe with mum, but she's not sure yet. A musician. That'll be nice." He folded the letter and slid it with an obvious care into the inside pocket of his tunic. "Full house, huh? We have Ophelia's room still open, luckily, I hope she won't mind."
