Corella laughed "Oh I'm not surprised that it was overwhelming and in fact I am jealous of you a little. I've not been able to leave this forest with the odd trip as a holiday every year or 30 so it is always exciting to get a rare change in scenery. Then as a summoner you will be able to travel around much more in no time" she told Amane glancing from her to Zadina. "And from what I hear, he is going to help you out a bit too"

Felina paused returning the handshake "Oh your're getting married too? Congratulations. Alpha failed to mention that you were engaged though ours will probably take much longer to go ahead than yours though time is viewed differently amongst elves. Is your fiancé back with your circus or..." she stopped turning to face the entrance to see her parents standing in the doorway. "Well dad is here so how about we get something to eat and then you can tell us what you guys were planning" she suggested to Alpha and Hayate before joining in with the applauses.

Hayate laughed nodding his head in agreement "It is true, you look almost like a high class civilised Agralian now. Something you will probable have to get used to dressing up like. Your dad is early for once. Usually he only appears when everyone is at the point of starving" he whispered back to Felina.

Alpha glanced down at Oassu's feet but waited until the applause had stopped before bursting out laughing "Man do you look silly in whatever you managed to put on your feet. Not seen people wearing that kind of thing for years. They don't even suit you" he agreed shaking his head.

"Pff well I think you look great Oassu. Your not the only one glad to have some people here not nobles. They all look so serious and not really letting themselves go much despite it being a party" Hebal complained. "That just leaves me with more people to dance with tonight. Though keep your shiny things away from Merric or he will have them. He's a little shiny thief" she warned.

Amane gasped petting Merric the moment the applause was over to calm him down. "He's a good little chicobo most of the time. He's just trained to be a treasure hunted and to him you are wearing a whole bunch of it hehe. Though why don't you travel around a little more Princess Corella? Surely they would allow you to go with some really good bodyguards. Just like how summoners do"

Mu scratched her head a little curious as to what Oassu meant "Well I guess all weddings take a lot of planning and yours will no doubt will be some big fancy royal ones. Though you are right, my fiancé is still in bangaa country with the circus. It's all training for the next couple of months anyway and I'll rejoin them before the touring season begins again. I sort of just came here to spend a little more time with my dad. Then after that I can have a bit of an explore around this continent"

Zadina frowned "I'm sure I can learn to look after him without Seph's help" he said watching as a confused Merric was patted back down into the cloak by Hayate before looking at Corella "You could always try and run away like Felina did if it ever got bad" he said quietly not quite happy with the idea "Or could study to be a summoner like Uncle did and he got to travel plenty because of it" he suggested "Or ask to go on diplomatic missions like your big sister does" he added shrugging "It's a real shame you are cooped up in the castle all the time, there's some really nice things beyond the forest" he said.

Oassu groaned and his face fell "Well don't tell me that, I feel foolish enough without knowing my clothes are out of style, and the chicobo just has good taste in jewellery that's all" he retorted "Though thanks Hebal, you and your daughter's dresses look lovely as well tonight" he said watching the King and Queen.

Felina laughed seeing Zadina's expression "Hey she and Itaka are the experts with chocobo care and you have to get over your fear of her at some point. She's realty nice even if she seems rough around the edges" she assured her cousin ruffling his hair while she waited to get food. "I think you would do good at diplomatic issues Corella... provided you spent enough time studying and went with your sister for the first few times. You certainly know how to charm most of this court of nobles."

Corella shook her head "Apparently I have no talent for summoning and should stick to white magic studies so the summoner root is out of the question. As for the diplomatic way... I don't know if I would like that too much. It seems like a lot of pressure and a lot of bad stuff can happen if I do it wrong. Though I could try. Though even if they are cooped up in a carriage a lot they could at least go outside a little and see a change of scenery. I always thought it would be interesting to bump into some of the wandering elven tribes"

Hayate paused "Just don't do anything that draws attention to your feet and nobody will notice. Nobles don't like it when people look down at the floor for some reason. But hey let the queen eat what she wants. Better to have too much than too little afterall. Bet she would be a fan of Merric too since she has a thing for small cute looking creatures."

Hebal grinned proudly "maybe next time I can take you clothes shopping before a party like this so you can look just as stylish. And to think that Jeckhart was so reluctant originally to buy the scarf with his clothes. Was much cheaper than our clothes too which is a bonus" she giggled hopping over to the buffet table having a good sniff at the food. "mm so many good stuff here. Though feel free to go talk to Elorin while you eat" she permitted grabbing an entire plate full of strawberries.

Mu laughed "I highly doubt it takes 100 years to take a tour anywhere in the world airship or not. I think both parties would go insane if they had to undergo a century long engagement. It would probably be a couple of years at most and the perfect opportunity for you to practice how to look presentable and find better shoes"

Alpha sighed happily managing to push the rest of the group to the front of the table "Should just do what we do as demons for weddings. Propose, mate, get a few friends to witness you sign your papers and then party into the night. Would save you a lot of time and money and would be over with a lot quicker without so much fuss. Then I guess take a big holiday after to keep up a few public appearances" he suggested reaching for the large knife to cut himself a chunk of beef off.

Amane nodded "Ok though we might need to work out what to say to him since it might come across as rude to straight out ask him about summoning tips" she whispered turning a little red having overheard some of Alpha's conversation. "Hey guys we're just going to get a quick bite to eat then move down the table to see the king so will be back soon" she told them thinking it would be a good time to leave.

Zadina nodded in agreement "Sure lets go, you'll have plenty of time to think of something to talk to my Uncle about I could help if you like" he said happily waving to Corella "See you later cousin but definitely is worth getting out of the forest a little" he advised before they hopped off further up the table.

Oassu rolled his eyes at Alpha "Easy on the kids old man, they ain't quite ready for talk like that, besides I'm sure Amane and Zadina might like something a little different to that in their future" he said looking over the table curiously at the food once the children had hopped off "Though yeah sooner everything's all sorted and wedded the better, I'm already half-afraid some noble or suitor of Felina's will come up and try to pick a fight with me tonight" he said.

Jeckhart cringed slightly at Alpha's suggestion "I'd like to say on behalf of demons we don't all have such a fast and loose concept of romance" he protested eyeing up Hebal's plate of strawberries and helping himself to some as well as a handful of nuts and oats "Though many thanks to your father for the food it's certainly an impressive spread" he said taking some more of the various fruits around the table.

Felina gasped and shook her head "Oh no if only it were that simple but punching someone over it would only make matters worse in the long run for Oassu. We can always just try to avoid them and exchange the odd insult at each other though. That is easy to get away with. Though I will try and get you at least one new friend by the end of the night. I am determined to after all"

Corella paused "Well if you want I could introduce you to some of my friends if you don't mind the fact most of them are female. They wouldn't be so mean as to pick a fight. A lot of them would be glad Felina is seeing you because it means more selection for them from the pile of nobles" she told him half seriously.

"Unlike demons, animals don't tend to casually tell everyone about it and the elven royals can be quite conservative" Hayate retorted taking a moment to carefully select his food and arrange it neatly on his plate. "There is a lot more foreign foods on the table than there usually is so its obvious that the king arranged everything this year. The queen generally doesn't have such broad tastes.
