Well, technically all of it is interesting, but I have yet to figure out what parts of it could help me solve the mysteries of the Brink.

Luana closed the bottle and started to shake it. "Experimental substance 23-K. It's supposed to counter-act the side-effects of one of the other drugs my father gives me." She held the bottle up and saw that the water was clear again. "What mysteries are you trying to solve exactly?"

Well, the Captain is always looking for things of this kind of nature to help him figure out how to keep the Seraphim out of the Brink. As though there could be some kind of property to this place that if we could just understand, we could manipulate it...

You know, the drugs of the 21st century weren't very advanced... perhaps you shouldn't be experimenting on yourself. What are you trying to counteract?

Luana took a drink before answering.
"Believe me, it's not my idea. My father has me on a few different drugs meant to help me when... I go out. I'm stronger, faster, I can last longer." She held her hands out flat over the bar, and as she stood there they began to involuntarily twitch and shake. "Unfortunately they've got some potentially dangerous side effects, so I take more drugs to try to save the affected systems." She balled her hands into fists before shoving them into her pockets. "The only person I know of who is on more of his concoctions than me is Andy."

Luana... I could have tested that substance for you. :::She appeared aggrivated:::
...and I know what chemicals are the ones which cause the tremmors, and the nausia... and the agreesion, and the nervous system rapid firing. They fed me the same sorts of things when I first joined the force, but the drug was perfected by my time.
:::She tried to calm down, sipping her wine::: Its effects are also permanent.

After drinking half of the bottle she looked at Cora, studying her carefully before speaking. "I stopped taking them for about a week. Two days ago, blind and feeling like every part of my body was on fire, I punched a whole through a kitchen wall." She took a breath. "I don't want to talk about what happened next, but I will say this: I'd rather have this chemical soup flowing through my veins than go back to that state."

Why are you doing this...? Are you really prepaired to slowly destroy your body? You know that you're injesting slow poisons, don't you? Your life span by now is dramatically decreased as a result.

I haven't met anyone named Andy- :::But she paused, considering the name. And trying to think of who she'd met recently from the early 21st century... and her eyes went wide:::
Andrew! :::Cora nearly jumped out of her chair::: Then... McColn, how do I know that name? The Doctor McColn... I read about him in the library... that's. :::It was all coming together like a really drawn out math equation, the scientist who was responsable for the first advances in human biomachinery... his claim to fame wasn't the only reason Cora had known his name:::
