Mu smiled shaking her head "Oh I didn't say it just to be mean. Personally I think its cute. Also never had that many friends when I was his age because I had difficulty fitting into human school once we had immigrated here" she answered defensively.

Alpha yawned shrugging off the scolding from Jeckhart as if it had never happened "Yeah your right lets go and grab a hold of Zadina and Amane before we head in looking a bit too much out of place. You can take us there right Hayate?" he requested.

Hebal rolled her eyes at Alpha "Yep Zadina doesn't play with many children ad Amane has never been able to leave the forest before so I say let them be kids and have some fun. And from what I heard of Felina she was also lonely growing up too which must have really sucked"

Jeckhart sighed somewhat reluctant to get up from the comfortable bed "Well yes let us be off, though I imagine Felina could have played plenty with her sisters after all, from what I understand Corella and Zadina played a fair bit as children" he said stretching as he stood and followed the others out the door.

Oassu grunted as he struggled to tighten the shiny pointy nobles boots he would be wearing "Honestly I have no idea how you elves wear these things, they feel so awkward and long and uncomfortable" he grumbled sitting back with relief and wiggling his feet in triumph having successfully fit his feet into the new shoes. Slow Oassu looked over his shoulder and turned around on the bed to examine the dress Felina was holding up. "I think you'd look fantastic in the silver one" he said lying down on the bed to pet a happy Cid dressed up with a little bow tie.

"If you need to ask Felina and she says yes then really theres no need to sneak because you just got invited" Hayate pointed out taking them all down the hall tipping his hat at one of his superior officers on the way. "If only I knew what it was that made some kids so fascinated in fiends...as much as I liked annoying the cactuars I never wanted to bring one home nor poke the antlions"

Felina giggled sliding her body through the dress having to give the zip a good tug to get it up to the top "Hehe well that's because usually those boots are supposed to be worm a size bigger than your feet actually are. Still you look incredibly dashing and I could get used to seeing you looking all smart like this" she told him shuffling closer. to the mirror.

Mu scratched her head a moment in thought "Well I guess that bird demons aren't really known for their aggression anyway and I was in school during the times of the war so that probably had an influence on how things were run also" she guessed.

"I don't think the king and queen wanted Felina to go out and play with malboros. Just needed to check she wasn't sneaking off more heh. But still I guess its time to be on best behaviour until the end of the night. Pity for I think this is going to drive me crazy" he mumbled with a small groan at the increasing sight of well dressed guests descending the stairs towards the music.

Hebal gasped almost mesmerised by the sea of various different colours of gowns "Wooow. Well at least theres no risk of us standing out too much. Bet none of these people ever went to a school with other people.. And most of them look so serious and not very fun either" she whispered to the group.

Jeckhart shook his head "I was educated by the clan, I've never actually been to the demon world so I don't know what a demonic school is like" he explained to Mu as they walked before peeking out over the bannister at the crowd of people. His face fell slightly as he realised how drab his clothes were compared to some of the outfits he'd seen "Yes it seems like there are plenty of exciting outfits here this time, I wonder how extravagantly those Mineerin elves are dressed" he said

Oassu smiled "Well yeah it does dear thank you, but I don't think it's appropriate to wear at the party, also back home you'd never get my face this clean but I suppose I do look pretty good like this" he said stretching in the suit "Though lets hang back on the getting me to wear this more often, this suit is too tight to wear out on the road, and I'll be glad to be rid of these shoes" he grunted.

Hayate simply nodded more able than Alpha to hide his amusement "If you think that is funny to watch, just wait until you see them try and force the gowns through al the doorways of the palace. Though while I would agree best not describe them like that so openly Hebal or you might accidentally upset people" he warned.

Felina laughed rubbing Oassu's shoulder's "I think I can keep you equally scrubbed up like this with a lot of effort to maintain it and we can get you your own shoes. But in the meantime, lets relax a little. The one good thing about being a royal is your expected to be fashionably late to all occasions so long as you aren't later than dad who always takes half an hour to get down there."

Alpha nodded his head "The fighting around the gates didn't get very far anyway since nobody on this side wanted you there and what was left of the demon kings army took it upon themselves to punish who they believed to be traitors on the other side. A few like myself and Seph managed to slip through but we were some of the small percentage of the ones that did and if it weren't for a couple of other party members Seph probably wouldn't have made it through alive. So anyone who could snag a deal with the clan and get smuggled out got a pretty sweet deal. Your parents were lucky.

Mu scratched her head in thought "I remember that somewhat. Was a bit of a shock because while I grew up in the war, I was just half a century too young to fight in it by the time it neared its end. But the clan as ridiculed as it was at the time was always seen as a group that could be relied upon in a crisis."

Hebal frowned "Well I think the clan did a good job of what they did. I wasn't around at the time of the war but I bet it must have been hard for them in the demon world at that time. But guys lets not focus too much on war stories tonight. No point being grumpy and its so hard not to find some entertainment watching those Mineerin ladies struggling down the stairs" she giggled hopping down overtaking them in distance.

Oassu scratched his head "Don't make much sense to me, would think if you were going to host a party it'd be common decency to show up on time for them so they aren't left waiting" he said allowing Cid to hop onto his lap "Still will be a first for me so I can't help but feel excited about it" he chuckled.

Jeckhart just nodded quietly seeming somewhat sadder now as he followed the others down the stairs.
