Alexz laughed lightly, "The mortals seem to be afraid of the rain, hopefully the rain will clear up soon. I guess there are more creatures out and about, they don't need to worry about any mortals getting suspicious." she said with a nod wiping some water away from her eyes.

The beast Oru moved as quietly as he could, staying hidden as best he could in the alleyways of New York. Oru knew that his appearance would most likely scare the creatures he saw, most looking like the other one he had met in the junkyard.
The heavy rains didn't bother Oru, it was nice to know that a small part of nature still lived upon this world. Through the many mixed smells of this new world, Oru could faintly smell something else, something familiar. Sticking to the alleyways, Oru tried to find the source of this strange smell. Little did he know he could smell another demon, one likely much, much stronger than he himself.

"Yeah I guess..." She stopped short. She turned slightly, sniffing. Another demon, one she hadn't met before. "Sorry about cutting off like that." She said as she was still sniffing for the source of the scent. "I was going to say that humans do seem to not like the rain, though there is always an exception." She took a step, looking like a cat or fox on the trail of something. "It's a demon."

Alexz looked around and looked towards an alley. "Cutting off is not a problem, after all it's a stranger. There." she said looking at the creature through the shadows.

"Animalian I think." Neko said, still testing the air. "Never smelled this kind before. I think it's an ox demon."

"He looks strange." Alexz said quietly, she couldn't figure out what he looked like.

Looking at the pair from the alley, Oru could sense one of them was a demon, and a pretty strong one at that. The other however, smelled of death, as if it wasn't live. Oru had heard tales of creatures of undeath, but had never seen one before this.
Turning his attention to the demoness, he could only hope that she spoke in the demon tongue, for he knew not the language of this plane. To the vampire, his words would sound like grunts and growls, but to Neko, he would be speaking very politely.
"You, are a demon, are you not? Do you know where I am?"

Neko pricked her ears towards the other demon. "This is New York City, one of the largest cities in the human world." She said in the same language. "Do you understand human languages, or only the demon one?" She translated for Alexz's benefit.

"He's very tall," Alexz commented as she tilted her head, "and he has claws." She smiled and nodded in thanks for the transalation. She found their language interesting.

"I have claws too." Neko said, showing Alexz her hand. Her calws right now only looks like rather sharp nails, but that was becuase they were retracted. She translated what Alexz said and what she had said to the other demon, whom she figured didn't know human languages.

Walking down the street in a seemingly languid fashion, Alistair pushed her hair back behind her ears, listening to the different sounds around her. She heard the hushed and odd voices of a group not far ahead. Carefully, she placed a wall about her mind, one could never be too careful about psychics in disguise. Shoving her hands into her pockets, she continued on in silence.

Oru shook his head, drops of rain falling from his fur. "New York . . . . humans . . . . I'm not in The Abyss anymore am I?" Oru's eyes turned down in sadness, his mind going over his memories of home. "I have never before even heard of these things, nevermind understanding their strange language."
Oru's mood seemed sad, and curious. He was after all, a smithy. There were so many new things in this world for him to learn about, to see, to do. At the same time however, a part of him would always long to return home.

"The Abyss...that explains a bit." Neko said, translating for everyone benefit. "Humans are mortal, being who have no powers like demons, lycans, or vampires have."

"The city in it's ways can be considered an abbyss. It's hell with all these mortals running about, causing trouble for us." Alexz said looking at him, "Why don't you come out of the shadows?"
