Hebal scratched her head "Well maybe they do what the people at the temple did with Amane. They gave her some tests at school then at the temple and told her that she had enough magical potential to learn how to summon. They are essentially chosen for training though you can decline the offer to learn to summon. It's just highly frowned upon to do so.

Alpha paused "So was Amane willing to become a summoner or did lots of people try and push her into it? Doesn't sound like a good childhood if your that age and people are deciding for you. Though maybe its because in my time and place of birth nobody really tried to make anyone do anything usually due to lack of interest"

"The idea of having to travel out the woods and away from the village terrified Amane at first but she did warm to the idea of getting to see lots of different things when she learned she wouldn't have to until she was a little older. Plus we gave her a little bit of forest outside the village to explore and to learn basic survival skills" Hebal answered with a small snicker.

Jeckhart paused "I wonder if Elorin went for the easiest ones then if that was the case" he mused looking over at Hebal "Though I'm sure Amane takes after her mother in her adventurous spirit she seems to be having a wonderful time around the city in any case though I'm sure she'll miss her home a little bit deep down" he said

Hayate raised his eyebrow surprised "And there was me thinking you didn't tend to bother with the whole courtship procedures. Well good for you guys and one kid each sounds like a pretty agreeable arrangement too. But Alpha is right, Bahamut always gives the summoner a trial before granting them his power. Could have been by the time he got Bahamut that he was more willing to travel. But hey I'm not the right person to tell you all the details of where he went in what order. would have to ask a guardian about that."

Hebal shook her head but smiled all the same "Oh nah not likely. I think I opened all my presents up earlier on the airship. I don't have a lot of really really close friends from my village and the ones that do always leave little surprise presents and all sorts in my house for me to discover when I get back. One time it took me ages to work out that one of them had gifted me with a huge rocking horse for Amane once. Just as an example. Sometimes they would be smaller like weapons and clothing by the bed etc." she happily explained

.Alpha snickered "Bit hard to miss a large rocking horse isn't it? Or was it just that you hadn't been at home long enough to know what was there before heh. Only surprises left at my house are people wondering whether or not someone actually lives there for it has been unoccupied for so long. Think the town its in still believes it is haunted" he recalled scratching his chin.

Jeckhart frowned "Well it would be one of their first big public events since their engagement, do you think the King and Queen would flaunt them like that?" he asked scratching his chin slightly "Though that sounds like a fun little tradition, hiding presents around the house Hebal, do all Viera do that?" he asked.

Hayate laughed nodding his head but gave a small shrug "Hey if I absolutely have to dance then so does Alpha. I do not think that the queen is quite so ready to have Oassu dancing around in public just yet. You never know though, if Elithana was here she would have been made to. Looking at the time though I think its going to start any moment now."

Amane rubbed her ear a moment in hesitation "Hmmm good question. Generally they are allowed to go when it is decided that they are ready to go though the earliest age is about 45ish. I think though 52 is probably the most ideal though as that's when viera are considered to come of age" she explained. "But Amane is only 33 so she still has a little while to go before anything gets to happen pilgrimage wise."

Mu giggled slightly "Oh he did, did he? I guess a part of him wants to show off to her. I mean its pretty obvious that he likes her so much and think everyone else at the party will notice. Its funny because when I was his age I just thought the opposite sex to just be annoying. Still how old is 45?" roughly?

"Umm I think that's the equivalent of about 17 or 18 in human years. I think I have the maths right. Im not the best with working out lifespans" Alpha predicted before spotting Hebal had nodded at him "Oh so it is 17.. means you must be nearing your 100th birthday if you haven't hit it already he chuckled teasingly at her.

Jeckhart tilted his head "Well lets not be mean now Miss Mu he's probably just happy to have a friend his own age, everyone he's with these days is a grown up. In fact given his upbringing he's probably spent most of his life without many friends his age" he sighed a little sad for Zadina "Still it is a little rude to press Hebal for her age Alpha, she looks lovely anyway in her new dress" he added scolding Alpha for his teasing "Still perhaps we should leave now then, I will go and check on the children just in case, though I'm sure Zadina is fine here" he said.
