Poll // Update Proposition
I decided to bring up some of my concerns and ideas with Sai earlier today (12-22-2016) about the recent "Custom Clan Submissions". One such concern was the number of Custom Clans that would be approved after a vote. Currently only two Custom Clans will be accepted after the voting dust clears. This incidentally brought me to my very next concern.

I got a little time on my break to glance over a post and then briefly look over the 'Orasakai' Clan Submission. I got to thinking (I know, it's rare), and I actually felt as if this submission was.. inappropriate. What I mean by that is: The 'Orasakai' theme, to my knowledge, is the only actual standing theme with long lasting ties to NFS. I could be mistaken, but it's the only one that I know shares a rich history with the RPG/Guild. These ties set it apart from any submission that has little or no actual past worth mentioning within the guild, and I believe that it should be a cemented as part of this guild regardless of the outcome of the "Custom Clan Submission" contest.
That's why I have come up with a proposition that I felt would be more appropriate for the circumstances and should theoretically be a win-win for everyone here on out in NFS. I have always been under the impression that our clan variety was lacking--even just comparing it to the number of bloodlines within the Naruto World.
I am proposing that we take and process the "Orasakai" as a set-in-stone clan normally just like any change to the system, clans, etc.
With the prize slots of having ones' Custom Clan selected being so few (2), the Orasakai so deserving of it's own clan, and the need for new life in the Clan Selection--It just seemed like a good idea to me.
In doing this, I feel it shows a certain level of appreciation to those who spent their time slaving over a hot system to keep us entertained and informed. It also allows the contest prizes to be freed up, so another Custom Clan can be introduced into the system/list of available clans.
That being said, I was instructed to introduce my idea to all of you here in the NFS community, and put it up as a poll for everyone to cast a vote and decide upon. If everyone is alright with it, we'll go ahead with making it an addition to the available Clans.

Haven't been back in the loop long enough to speak for the entire mod team, so consider this memail speaking for myself only first and as a vice captain second.
The reason there is only two slots is because....
1. Clans are getting an overhaul, in fact it's next up on the chopping block. The hope is cannon Clans will become more popular than "no clan". As of right now most people are running no clan.
2. The only reason custom Clans are getting scripted in to begin with is because of the fact that we have never allowed it before and there are some who have been comited to no clan for quite awhile across multiple iterations of NFS. But again the idea is for people to use cannon Clans, not customs and we want to encourage that.
3. We would rather have few custom Clans that actually have members that a handful that only have one person. The truth of the matter is only ONE custom clan was intended to go through to begin with. Realizing that Orasakai was more or less guaranteed (as it should be as the one and only clan that had existed in every version of NFS) a 2nd slot was created for that purpose. So the issue you are having is one that has already been considered and adjusted for.
I'm not opposed to opening up another slot IF one can prove that they have members ready to join it however ultimately I leave that final call to Sai. I will say however that the way it's designed currently is very much so working as intended, rest assured that we have already thought of that specific concern and this is what we have come up with.
However if the guild would like to poll it I see no reason not to. I would like to stress however that the design decision will not be forced or dictated by poll results. We will take the opinion of the guild into consideration but ultimately there are design decisions at work that don't always call for a majority rules vote.

I'll try to keep this short.
Based upon how unpopular the majority of clans are and how we are currently reworking the clan system, I felt it only necessary to add in 1 or 2 clans, opting for 2 due to the fact that I wanted to submit my own and didn't want it to be only my submission making it through. Takera expressed the opiniom privately to me that it seemed unfair to add my own submission due to how extensive the Orasakai history is in the guild, as such I told him to present his opinions ajd open it up for a subject of debate and polling.
So take what both of our vice captains are saying:
YAY - Orasakai deserve to be added outside and regardless of this contest. (Subcontext: Having a large and colorful cast of characters and clans is preferred. The additional custom clans will provide players larger chances at creating unique and original characters and thus make richer stories.)
NAY - Whether or not Orasakai deserves to be added should be proven through the contest. (Subcontext: There are fewer players then their are bloodlines, it is preferred if we saw more than one player in a single clan, for both quality of story reasons and systemwise as essentially if a custom clan only gets 1 player or none, we made a system for it solely for that amount of people. )
If you feel to discuss it more feel free to do so, but be courteous to your guild mates. But ultimately please do decide for yourselves which option you believe is best and cast your vote. Your opinions matter and the result of the poll will directly influence my decision on the matter.

Haha! I love WoW. I think it is probably my favorite game but that being said, it has been garbage since about Cata. I love the feeling of community. I crave a social atmosphere but WoW just does not fill that void anymore because everybody is so focused on me, me, me mentality.

Everything being said here, I agree with ele's thought processes on the clan creation. At the same moment, I agree that the Orasakai should not even be questioned. With that in mind, I would say that the Orasakai be added to the clan creation and just knock down the amount of winners in the clan creation contest. There is not a point of voting if we know that the clan is going to be accepted in the end either way.
I am going to head over to fire probably tomorrow morning. I don't mind waiting a few days, but I'm just afraid of losing my enthusiasm to roleplay. I'm sure you understand. Also, I will post in E today. Yesterday, I was kind of feeling the effects of my pregnancy. I basically did not move from the couch besides instances when I absolutely had to.

I am also ok with this idea. I am glad you asked! Long story is in the custom clan contest thread, short story is Orasakai are born with an extra organ that helps them generate, process, store and ultimately redistribute chakra, generally causing them to perpetually healthy and youthful. In terms of shinobi usage, you're giving them an extra well of condensed chakra to pull from and materialize.

As far as the Orasakai clan goes:
I cast my vote for YAY. I may have only been a recent addition to the history of NFS, but i have been around long enough to see other people play members of the Orasakai clan aside from Sai and Ele. So if there's a clan that should be allowed to exist legitimately it's Orasakai.

Ok seems fine having it skip in, and seems neat Can I also put this forward, that rather then having each of the elemental fusion be it own clan, can they be a single clan that get to pick one of the fusion effects, there are so many elemental fusions locked behind the 55 perk.
