Sir Upper Crust the 3rd Mikallen No one cares. Also, I always had the theory that Kabutops was an old relative of Scyther, and that Armaldo was related to Breloom in that sense. I see the Scyther Kabutops connection, but you've lost me on Armaldo Breloom, other than the hand claw things...maybe. Elaborate, please. Their basic body structure is very, very similar. They both have beak-like mouths and similar orientation of their claws. Not to mention they seem to be similar size. *shrug* Seeing how much real animals change over millions of years, like the supposed sauropod/bird argument, I don't think it's too much of a stretch.

No, I don't suppose it is. Say, do you think that fossil pokemon are all duel typed with rock as a side effect of being revived from a fossil (which isn't actually rock stare ) or because that's just something all pokemon of that time shared as a basic trait? That being the case, would it be safe so assume that all pokemon evolved from a rock type? What about Mew, who shares the DNA of all pokemon and is therefor also assumed to be the first pokemon from which all others evolved?

I always thought fossil was rock, as it fills the spaces in the bone with minerals and solidifies it to something that's pretty much just like stone.

Similar to, but not quite. But I wonder if having bonded with those minerals and such is why they are rock types. Like if you were to travel back in time would an Armaldo just be a bug type? Or would it maybe be a different duel type all together? I know it shouldn't, but these kinda things bug the crap outta me and keep me up at night sometimes.

I've never really thought the fossils fit Mitsu. Except for Aerodactyl since everyone loves those. And it goes along with her scary looking team. xD

I never really used fossil pokemon in game. They came too late to bother training up. The only ones I've done so far are an Aerodactyl and Omastar. But neither was ever really used.

I think Train'd do nicely with a Kabuto/Kabutops... I rather like those. .-.
Of course, I love Aerodactyl, do. xD;

It would be impossible if thats why they have a rock half. That would mean that Aerodactyl was a pure flying type. And we all know there are no pure flying types! HAHAHA

That logic is undeniable, Melph. xD The pure Flying-type thing will NEVER happen.
And I love Armaldo so much... my beloved Duriel. <3

Aside from that he gains Electric weakness, a 4x weakness to Rock, and Ice moves doing normal damage to him.

Yeah but you can team him up with someone that knows EQ and protect that ground type most likely from the, grass and ice that it would go against. Remember there is a reason people use Charizard more the Typhlosion. Besides not a lot of people use Rock moves. Don't give me Stone Edge bullshit, it misses to much to be useful. Electric weakness, well not much you can do about that but one Flamethrower should be enough to take care of most electric pokemon. Other then Jolteon you would be faster then them to. If that wasn't good enough you get wings and can fly around on a huge fire breathing dragon! ******** YEAR!
