Hiru was still chatting around pretty much alone when he heard class would be starting soon. He was both thrilled and worried at the idea. Obviously, he really did want to work out; but, didn't want to be poisoned again. So, even though he couldn't hide his enthusiasm to start training, he lined up very close to Batou hoping he'd be assigned to him instead of Mean-sensei...

In a instant Batosai was grabbed and dragged like a toy by Hiru for all the world to see. It was embarrassing. It made Batosai want to hit Hiru right between the eyes, but there was too many witnesses. But he did recongize a lot of people he met. Hiru, Andou, Batou, Karake, and even Hitomi was here. That suprised Batosai, as Hitomi was a genin. Why should she even be here at the academy? But he decided to at least make conversation with her, before class started anyways. "Hitomi...how have you been lately? I hope you had a good time at the festival." the boy said. It wasn't good but at least it was a start for him. He was never a talker, unlike Hiru who keep his mouth shut for two seconds.
Batosai couldn't wait for classes to start. He personally to have Andou as a teacher. Andou may seem like a d**k, but he had more experience than Batou. Batosai rather would deal with someone who is up front with it, than someone who hides it like a secret. But he would have to wait and hope for the best. So he instead turned his attention back to Hitomi.

"I did enjoy myself at the festival, and I wish the same of you Batosai." she said with a small giggle. She had in fact enjoyed the festival very much, and it was nice that she had spent it with Batosai instead of alone like she had done most of her life. She was glad to have socialized with someone other then Andou-Sensei. Not that she didn't value her time with him, but it was nice to know others.
Her mind slowly began to wonder as she heard one of the other teachers mention to a younger student that classes would be starting soon. Hitomi wasn't sure what she would be doing once classes started for the students, because she wasn't even sure who she would be working with since she was a genin, and not a student. She only had showed up here at the academy because she was instructed to do so to help make sure it ran smoothly. It would be good to finally figure out what she would be doing once the schedules started to officially work out and everything started to roll along.

Hiru was getting somewhat impatient for something to happen, not much of a surprise there. He was enjoying the company neverthless, recognizing many familiar faces that were slowly arriving. There was one girl that intrigued him as he'd never met her before and yet she appeared to be familiar with the senseis and some of the other students.
Hiru approached Hitomi: "Hey! I'm Hiru! You're very pretty.", he simply said with a smile. Hiru took about 3/4 of a second to notice the forehead protector around her waist: "Woooh, how can you be genin rank if I've never seen you around here before?", he asked with admiration, looking more at it than her eyes.
((Hey Sakuran, your character's description was pretty accurate and simple so I gave it a shot, what do you think?))

((If you guys don't know, Kouri is currently out with the flu, just so you all understand as to why classes haven't currently started back up yet. She sends her apologies and hopes to get well enough soon to start posting again. Side Note: It is NOT swine flu 3nodding (I keep picking on her and saying she has it since she's still not well sweatdrop ) So yeah, hopefully she'll get better soon so things can pick up, just wanted to update you guys real quick 3nodding ))
Kenta ran through the busy streets trying his best not to bump into anyone as he struggled to make it to the academy.
"Crap crap crap why'd they let me sleep in like that!"
He continued to hustle through the streets to he stopped in front of the huge building that made up the academy. He panted heavily looking up at it before composing himself and stepped inside the building. He walked down the halls of the academy, hearing voices inside one of the rooms and slowly made his way to the door and peered inside to see students gathered inside before stepping in and rubbing the back of his head lightly.
"I have missed the first day of classes have I?"
He laughed softly to himself feeling slightly embarrassed, he really hoped he hadn't messed up the first day of the new semester for sleeping in.
(I just spent the last hour writing my post for the academy, and the figured out that the original description for the academy either no longer applies, or people skip the tunnel thing entirely [which sounds silly if that's something you'd have to do day to day] so yeah I had to erase like everything after the first dialogue and start over and now it's like x10 shorter gonk Oh well, finally can get started as a new character for the first time in like half a year sweatdrop )

[niice! lolz]
Hitomi just smiled at Hiru's compliment, a little bit of pink rising in her cheeks. That always seemed to happen when people noticed her looks. Her mother and some other members of the village had never had a problem telling her just how good she looked, even at a young age, but she still tried to play it down. "Why thank you Hiru." she said, then her smile became more of her normal, excited smile when the boy asked her about her ranking. "I wasn't raised to be a shinobi, but I wanted to after the attacks on the village... I trained hard, and earned my ranking..." she said a bit bashfully. She wasn't sure how much others knew about Andou-Sensei and how he took the time to train her specially outside the academy, so she kept her answers simple as she could.

[I return... >.>;]
Andou looked up at the clock and cleared his throat. Then again, in case people hadn't heard him the first time.
"Thanks for coming to our open day," he said. "We're aware of the huge task you are giving us, and hopefully you'll have come out of today knowing a little bit more about the world of shinobi, and our teaching methods." Yeah, as much as civilians would ever know... "Classes are due to start soon, so if you're happy with what you see, registration is on the ground floor. Your children are in good hands."
As parents filed away, some permanently, some just to make registrations, Andou turned to the students already present in the room, who hadn't left. "The first lesson of the day is Ninjutsu or Taijutsu. You're being split up into groups to facilitate the learning process. It's something new the Council wants to try out," Andou informed his students blandly, as if he weren't an important member of Council who probably had had a hand in this. "I will be leading taijutsu in the gym." Andou pointed a finger down the hallway leading to another pair of stairs going even lower, which was presumably where the gym was. "Batou-sensei will be doing ninjutsu in the Witch Market. Apparently the volcanic atmosphere is conducive for chakra manipulation." Andou shrugged. He didn't quite believe it, but it was to be admitted that the island's inhabitants were among the most gifted ninjutsu users of Kirigakure.
"So split yourself up into two groups. Taijutsu, me. Ninjutsu, Batou-sensei. Rei-san, can you assist me in the taijutsu lessons?" he asked his blonde long-term student, fixing her with an approving glance.

To Hiru this was a no brainer, he already wasn't particularily fond of Taijutsu and the fact that he'd constantly have to watch his sensei so he wouldn't get poisoned definately made the scales tip in favor of ninjutsu training.
"Guess I'll be training with you Batou-sensei!", Hiru said with a huge pointy smile on his face. "Can we start with the cloak of invisibility jutsu, it's the only basic jutsu I haven't learned!", he asked. "Surviving through the invasion would have been much easier with it...", he added.

Kenta jerked upright and scuttled into the room when he heard the sensei give his introductions and tried to play it off as if her were in the class the whole time. He glanced around at the other students for a moment before looking over to the sensei in the room. Hearing the classes that were about to start, he knew he was really bad when it came to physical combat, so maybe going to the ninjutsu would be his best bet for starting off, so he'd get a feel for what the teaching styles would be like. He looked over to a man speaking with some of the students and walked over slowly, stopping next to him and leaned his head over slightly to try and get his attention.
"Would you happen to be Batou-sensei, teaching the ninjutsu half of the class?"
He smiled softly, hoping he wasn't making a fool of himself by asking the wrong person.

Batou looked up at Andou's first clearing of the throat (that really sounded like one of those movie titles, how dramatic. "The Clearing of the Throat", "The Silence of the Lambs", "The Shadow of the Colossus"...) He stepped aside from Triskal, so that students would have to move out of their way to stand with him, and watched as two students immediately did so once Andou had finished speaking. He hoped Andou wouldn't be too hurt, and then thought, 'Who the hell am I kidding, Andou's too much of an a*****e to be hurt by the rejection of children,' smile still on his face. The two had a curious relationship indeed.
He looked at his students. One was obviously a Hoshigaki. Gifted with chakra, and Batou could see that this student had worked much harder than the rest of the class, if his level of ability was the result of that. The other looked to be a new student, quite angelic and the opposite of Batou, with pale skin and blonde hair. Actually he bore a similarity to Andou... and now Angel kid was talking to him. "Yes," he answered with a smile. "I'm Batou-sensei. I'm afraid I don't know the class very well yet. Could I know your names, please?" he asked both Kenta and Hiru. "And I'll think about it," he promised Hiru. "I have to see who's in the class first, so I know what to teach first. But if you're ahead, I could let you work by yourself..." Batou let that trail off, allowing Hiru to draw his own conclusions.

Kenta grinned to himself lightly as he stood upright and clenched his fist in front of himself as his brows furrowed into a determined expression.
"I'm Kenta Shiikyoku, and though this is going to be my first semester learning, I hope I can do my best to prove I am equal to my sempai's."
He let out a light sigh after his short introduction, feeling empowered and confident in his words, he didn't know the other students abilities, but he dabbled in the understandings of chakra and hoped that it would help him grasp whatever the ninjutsu class threw at him.

With Andou-Sensei's address to everyone in the area, Hitomi just smiled and became silent, letting the group hear the instructions that were being given out. When he turned to her and asked for her assistance, her smile widened even more. The approving glance was a comforting one, specially after all the hard work she did with him. Sure he had the tenancy of being a hard a** with all the training and all the hours and work that went into it, but he had done it at her request, so she asked for what he gave to her. "Of course Sensei" she said cheerfully, making her way over to him.

Once Hiru heard he might have a chance to learn the new jutsu his energy level immediately shifted to third gear.
"You really mean it?!", Hiru answered Batou. "Oh boy, oh boy, oh boy, let's get started right away!", he added.
Hiru immediately grabbed Batou by the sleeve and pulled him towards the door to start training as soon as possible.

"Its about time." Batosai mumbled quietly under his voice. He couldn't wait to begin training. But the question was what he should train on. His taijutsu or ninjutsu. Batosai had a lot of skill in ninjutsu but with the invasion he began to notice his weakness. He not physically ready to be a shinobi. He need to work on his strength and dexterity. Only then could he keep up with Hiru. Batosia didn't like it, but he had to train on taijutsu. But it would work out in the end, he just knew it. Besides, with Hiru out of his way he might be able to prove himself and Andou was the man to show him how. Plus spending more time to get to know his new friend Hitomi was an additional plus.
Batosai walked over and stood by Andou and Hitomi. This was going to be a good day. "I'm ready whenever you are Andou-sensei." Batosai softly said to Andou, his sensei. Batosai was also considering to ask Andou for after school lessons and training. Sure, Andou is a a*****e, but Batosai need his help.
