"I'll worry about Nitro Mr. Ranmo," Mike said. "you worry if your pal's helicopter can fly fast enough to entertain him with a good chase." The last remark bore a smirk from the boy. He knew in all actuality, his Pokemon would have his hands full following it. Planes and the like weren't allowed the luxury of feelings or self awareness, but in turn were spared from fatigue. "Don't you worry, we'll be fine." he said, tossing the Charizard's Pokeball up and down.

Floating in the darkness of the dream world Dante's conscious relaxed waiting for a dream to come to him. It didn't take long before a bright yellow light suddenly appeared getting bigger and bigger. Watching with mild interest Dante wasn't quite sure what it was. Waiting for it to get bigger he stared at it, it felt strangely powerful, and kinda familiar. Suddenly the light, he assumed it was that anyway, spoke to him. "What are you doing here? You should be out at gym's earning the three badges. You should be studying where my brother's are. Not dressed up trying to get a new pokemon!" It screeched at him.
Not phased at all, though mildly confused Dante looked at the bright yellow light in front of him. "It's not everyday a big light in my dream's talks to me." He mused out loud.
The light seemed to be annoyed and if it had eyes it would probably be rolling them. "Your supposed to be smart mortal, who do you think I am?"
"A part of my subconscious?" He wondered amusedly.
"No, I would never be part of some mortal's subconscious! The very idea disgusts me! No I am the Bearer of Lightening Zapdos. I have come to check up on you and it turns out that I find you dawdling out in some strange building with flashing lights, trying to get a man made pokemon."
"I need another pokemon. One of mine just left me. Plus I need to find a way to figure out how communicate with your brothers." He paused. "How did you get into my mind in the first place? I thought only Psychic pokemon could do that."
"The gem I gave you. It has a fraction of my power in it. It allows me to see what you are doing. After all we must watch to see if you are worthy of becoming our servant."
"Hold on a second, servant? Who said anything about that." Even in his usually negative emotion free dream self, he did not take well to being called a servant.
The bird/light seemed taken aback. "Is that not what you wished to be? Our servant to the outside world? We have not meet someone in 100 years who we have seen as being worthy of even being watched. You should be honored you are even being considered for this task."
"I don’t care who you are, I refuse to be a servant of any kind." Dream Dante said crossing his arms over his chest stubbornly. "I will look out for you guys, I will even take any message's you have to say to the people outside of it, however I am not, and will never be your servant."
There was a pause. "Hmm... Perhaps you could be called the Messenger of the Legendaries? I like Servant of the Legendaries better though." The bird/light made a clicking sound like it was contemplating something. "I must talk to my brother's and the other's about this. However, I suggest you finish up this business here and then go about your testing." That being said the light faded from view. DANTE'S COINS 118/9,999

As soon as Sting had landed his last hit, Ky had brought his fist away from his heart, holding it outwards to celebrate Sting's success. He did not cheer though, for he knew the battle was far from over. Instead, he looked over towards M.A. and smiled, giving a nod of thanks. When he turned back though, his smile disappeared. He could feel the air grow tense as Bugsy's Scyther stood tall in front of Sting. He had never seen a bug so fierce, gulping as he watched its razor-sharp arms glisten from the gym's lights.
Sting could only manage to look up once into his new opponent's eyes before he wilted in the air from fatigue. Slowly, he looked back towards Ky. Seeing this, Ky began to reach back for his Pokeball until he saw Sting shake his head. The look that he gave showed he still wanted to fight, to his last breath, and Ky understood. "All right Sting. Let's give Little Guy a helping hand. Poison Sting, now! Let'em have it!" Ky called, a smile returning to his face.
Putting every little bit of energy left into his next move, Sting dove towards the Scyther with his rear stinger facing forward, aiming to secrete his most powerful toxin into the bug.
Little Guy began to chirp and cheer for Sting. He could not believe that he had such a strong fighter as a teammate. It made him all the more ready to fight this new opponent, his eyes already sizing up the Scyther's strength.

Train headed out of the pokemon center to Mt. Moon. Her Ratata and Pikachu followed behind her. They soon neared the giant tunnel, and headed inside.
Train looked around. A Zubat attacked her Ratata when she wasn't looking. "Ta!" It cried, and Train spun around to see it swiping at the wild Zubat. "Ratata!" She cried.
"Ratata, Tackle!" Train commanded. Ratata slammed into the Zubat, sending it flying backwards.
The wild Zubat screeched, and backward rolled in the air, flapping it's wings madly. It screeched, making a high pitched sound, so that Train had to cover her ears. Ratata shook it's head frantically, trying to block the sound. When Zubat stopped, Ratata looked dizzy. It stumbled a bit, but regained balance. It was confused a bit, but it didn't look to bad.

Drifting off into a dream where Dante was fishing for Charizards while Magicarp flew in the lime green sky he was surprised when the orange lake, and purple grass he had been sitting on had started to shake. Suddenly an urgent voice could be heard saying something to him. The dream world started to dissolve around him until it was no more and a bit startled he opened his eyes to see Missie, the announcer girl standing over him with an urgent look on her face. "Oh thank goodness you are awake! I have been trying to get you up for the past ten minutes. I thought you were dead!" She said franticly.
Looking up at her through sleepy eyes Dante yawned and sat up some more. " Is it time to get back to work?"
"Huh? Oh no! We were going to get you in about a half an hour. But one of the customers heard we had a new employee who won twice in the arena. Anyway he and his friend challenged you and Leon to a double battle. You need to get out to the arena right away."
Getting up and scratching his back popping in a few places at that Dante yawned again before grabbing his pokeballs and jacket. Sticking his pokeballs in his belt, he still wasn't used to that, he rolled down his sleeves and slipped the black jacket over it. Now that he was ready he followed Missie out to the arena and looking around some he spotted Leon. Raising a hand in greeting he went over to him. "Hey, so who are we up against?"
Seeing Dante's somewhat disheveled appearance Leon just laughed. "Well I am not quite sure. I never got there names, but they do look like they mean business." Reaching over he brushed a large hand through Dante's hair making it go back to its usual mess.
"Hmm." Was all Dante said as they walked over to the trainer's box which lifted up into the air. Across from them there appeared to be a couple standing there. They looked rather rich and somewhat snobby. Below them the arena lowered into the ground and the usual dirt one was replaced by a healthy looking field of grass.
"All right everyone lets get ready to start this battle! This is a one pokemon for each trainer double battle. On the count of three I want all of you to send out your pokemon of choice! One! Two! Three!"
When she called three four pokeballs were tossed out. At Leon and Dante's side there appeared a very powerful looking Espeon and Bahamut who's carapace shinned a brilliant gold under the bright lights. On the challenger’s side a Blastoise with its huge cannon's in its shell pointing forward at them. Next to it stood a large brown and green Tropius, its huge leafy wings beating at the air.
"All right it looks like its Leon's Espeon and Dante's Vibrava VS. the uhhh... the challengers Blastoise and Tropius.

"Look, you can't just...Will you listen!?" she said rather loudly. She held the PokeNav a bit away from her ear when the other person spoke, as if they were yelling.
"Who are you talking to?" Kilik asked, leaning against the wall. There was a pause between the person on the other line and Rena. "If it's important, I'll go back over there." The boy walked over to the couches and sat down, rubbing his bare arms. He glanced over his shoulder occasionally to see if Rena was finished talking.
Who could she be talking to, anyway? he thought, tapping his foot on the ground anxiously. It's not like it was any of his business, though. He sighed.
Rena walked over and sat next to him some ten minutes later, heaving a sigh when she plopped beside the boy. "Seems Mazarin wants to talk to me really badly." Kilik nearly fell out of his seat at the mention of the other boy's name.
"Whoa! Wait!" he shook his head, "Maz wants to talk to you?" Kilik placed his hands on the cushion, near his legs and blinked at her, "Where's he want to meet?"
"He said meet him in Celadon City," she explained, "And to come alone." Rena looked over at Kilik, "Guess that means you'll have to find someplace else to hang around for a while, Kilik." The boy stood up and placed his hands behind his head.
"Nah! Just drop me off in Saffron City!" he told her, "I could do a bit of shopping for Lairon while I'm there." Kilik patted his wallet - although he had much less than half of what he had before, it still felt pretty hefty. He crossed his arms over his chest and smiled. "Maybe I'll find some kid there to battle."
"Well, if you're sure..." she looked at the ground and twiddled her thumbs.

It was a good twenty minutes or so before the blue and orange helicopter landed very close to the house. It looked much like the CareFlight helicopters used in rescues and accidents. The only difference was the change in colors; what was blue on CareFlight was orange on Grossberg's and vice-versa. "Now then!" Joeseph laughed, clapping his hands. He ignored the fact that it took an extra five minutes than predicted and walked down the steps. "Mike, just keep close and keep an eye on the copter and you'll be fine!" Joeseph kept a hand on his bowler hat and another clenched around his cane.
The helicopter blades were still spinning, but rather slowly. A soft breeze carried through the group. Joeseph and Marvin climbed into the vehicle (each with a bit of a struggle, as they were both getting on in age). Mr. Ranmo removed his hat and place his headphones on. With a final wave good-bye, the copter ascended.

Night had fallen, and Whitney leaned up against the Gym, watching the streetlights dotting on, one at a time. It was the most perfect summer's night-- the hot temperature had dropped and it was stationary at an amazingly comfortable sixty-something degrees. A wind blew every now and then, nothing hard, just something to ruffle her hair and force a few strands across her face. She heard the dull murmur of passers-by chatting with one another; many came and went. There were a group of five or six friends, one of whom was boasting to the group about his "awesome battle with this one kid today" and how he won using only his Snubbull. A friend --a girl-- retorted that his opponent must have only been using Magikarp and other weak Pokemon to oppose him.
After they had passed by the Gym, Whitney letting off a soft chuckle at the girl's comment, a pair of assumed lovers came into sight-- this was evident by their body language, how they were holding hands, giving eachother looks of pure enamoration and love and trust, kissing the other's cheek or neck. As they passed, the pink-haired girl felt a twang of sorrow, not for them, but for herself. They're lucky, she thought, lucky that they have eachother, lucky that they have a person to depend on, lucky that they're in... love...
Her thoughts were interrupted as Raimundo came walking out the door, stepping into the adequately-illuminated night with her. It was silent for a moment or two. A smile from the boy. "I hope you don't mind the company," he said, "but I thought I'd come out and join you. You seemed kinda lonely out here." This elicited a tiny giggle. "Oh, like, no. I'm fine, really." She cocked her head a little, looking to the boy's glimmering eyes and seeing through his moderately devilish smile. "That's not the whole reason you came out here, is it? It's got to do with Nina."
"Heh. You're good. See, I came out here because Nina had actually wanted to keep you company and wait for Kasiya with you. I could tell she was partly lying though. It seemed like when Kasiya got here, all she wanted to do was talk to her to put off actually battling her."
Whitney nodded, seeming to affirm what he said. "I really hope that, like, when they do battle, Nina won't, like, hold back or anything just because they're friends." Rai raised an eyebrow. "She wouldn't do that, would she?" he asked. "I can tell that she wants to win." The girl crossed her arms. "Well, like, I don't know... I was there when she battled her friend Mike. She held back for him, like majorly-- she opened up using frickin' Mihoshi and Sakura! Oh, and not to mention that she like, totally omitted Anna and Krystal from the battle! If I didn't know better, I'd swear that she, like, likes Mike or something and wanted him to win. Maybe he's her rebound guy after she, like, split from Kilik... the jerk."
"Jeez, from what I'm hearing about this Kilik guy, he sounds like an awful person." Whitney put a lot of effort into a hard scoff. "HE IS! Oh-my-god. He like, did the absolute worst thing to Nina! He rejoined Team Rocket so that he could, like, work with Giovanni to "eliminate Maorde Menskr" somehow. Psht, like, yeah right. He's going to get SO much done with the man who, like, kidnapped him, brainwashed him, and did who knows what else to him. It's, like, no wonder he's so screwed up." Rai stared at the girl. "Whoa, slow down! Giovanni from Kanto did this to Kilik?" Whitney nodded. "Chyeah, from what Nina's told me, all of that's happened. And yet he was still dumb enough to, like, go back to that man for help. Giovanni was totally just gonna, like, use Kilik to accomplish things on his own agenda!"
"Well, wait," Raimundo said. "Giovanni is a powerful man, Whitney. Who knows what type of technologies he has access to? Kilik would have benefitted greatly by pooling resources with him. Plus, from what you've just told me, there's no doubt in my mind Kilik went to Giovanni out of pure desperation. If they could get rid of Maorde, then that would mean that everyone in the regions would be so much safer. They'd all be protected. And at that time, I'm sure Kilik would have given his right leg to keep Nina protected-- if he really cared about her, that is."
Whitney didn't want to admit it, but Rai really had a strong point. She hadn't looked at it from that perspective before-- she was only too angry at what he had done and was fueled on too little information to form rational thoughts. The emotions Nina displaced at the time seemed to have rubbed off onto her.
So, she changed the subject so as not to dwell on it anymore. "I wonder when Kasiya's going to get here."

"All right Blastoise lets start this off with a Surf attack!" The Blastoise roared and aiming his large cannon's at the ground he shot out a huge amount of water. Then as if on its own the water started to form a wave.
"Bahamut use Fly to escape and take Espeon with you!" Dashing forward Bahamut latched her feet around the Espeon and took off up into the sky.
"Thanks for that. Now Sparkles use your Psychic on that Blastoise!" The cat like pokemon, who didn't look to pleased about being carried in the first place, gave his trainer a look before complying. The ruby like jewel on her forhead started to glow for a second before suddenly an invisible force slammed into the large turtle knocking it on its back. The Blastoise rolled around a bit trying to get back on his feet again.
"Hey dont forget about us! Tropius chase after them! They can't move as fast if the Vibrava is carrying that Espeon." The Tropius gave a roar and stamped his feet some before flapping its large leef wings and taking off into the air after them. While it was true that the Vibrava usually was the faster pokemon, he was carrying around Leon's Espeon which slowed her down considerably.
"Hey kid, see if your little dragonfly there can drop Sparkles on that Tropius's back. Then maybe she can take him down while you try the Blastoise." Leon sudjested.
Seeing no problem with at least trying Dante shrugged. Besides they weren't getting anywhere running away. "Bahamut try to deposit your passinger on that Tropius's back!" DANTE'S COINS 118/9,999

After changing into his clean clothes, Kilik followed Rena outside with his hands in his pockets. The boy took a deep breath and listened to the sound of the crashing waterfall for a while. He waited to board the Pidgeot. He didn't want to leave the island for a while. He crossed his arms over his chest; it was clear he was very uneasy about flying again. Fingers closed around his crimson sleeves nervously.
Gulping, Kilik turned and walked over to the Pidgeot. "Well, let's get this over with..." he whispered. He allowed Rena to board first before he clambered on and kept his arms wrapped around her waist. Maybe it wouldn't seem like such a long flight this time? After all, Saffron City was more direct of a route than Fuschia City. Although, if he kept his eyes shut the entire time, then maybe he just wouldn't notice.
Rena tugged the feathers and lifted Pidgeot up into the air. The Pokemon's large wings flapped strongly a few times before it made a light turn towards the Kanto region.

Giving a screech of acknowledgement Bahamut swirled around and flew towards the large Tropius. The Tropius itself looked a bit taken aback to suddenly have it's small opponents heading right back. "Tropius use Magical Leaf on them. Try to knock them out of the air!" Stopping the large plant like pokemon flapped its large wings at them sending several smaller leaves in there direction.
"Sparkles use Swift to hit all those leaves out of the air!" Opening her mouth, the jewel on her head glowing again the Espeon unleashed a flurry of stars that smashed into all the leaves coming towards them causing them to make small explosions. Doing her best to dodge them Bahamut flew closer to the Tropius and once getting close enough she dropped her cargo onto its back. Giving a screech of triumph she did a loop-de-loop before diving down towards the Blastoise.
"Blastoise see if you can hit that Vibrava out of the air with your Water Gun!" Grunting the Blastoise aimed his cannon's at the dragon pokemon, who was as always flying somewhat erratically, before he started shooting.
"Bahamut do your best to dodge those!" Dante shouted from his side. It was to late however and the small dragon took a hit to the chest. The powerful blast of water sent the airborne dragon flying back at least ten feet before she hit the ground. Picking herself up Bahamut looked over at the Blastoise angrily only to see another water get coming towards her. Scrambling out of the way the small dragon barely avoided the attack. "Bahamut you need to get closer so you can use your Giga Drain on it!"

"Ratata, try another tackle!" Train called. Ratata wobbled a bit. It took a step forward, and fell over. It stood up and shook it's head, then tried again. This time, with success, it jumped up and slammed into the ZUbat, which hit the ground hard.
The Zubat sent out a loud screech, and Ratata shook it's head. The bat pokemon absorbed some of Ratata's energy, and flew back up into the air.
"Quick Attack!" Train commanded. Ratata was cleared of it's confusion, and jumped up, becoming barely a blur, and appeared by Zubat, knocking it out. "Alright!" Train said, and picked up Ratata. She returned it to it's pokeball, she wanted to be sure it would be comepletly clear of confusion for the next battle.

Having been to Saffron Gym several times now, Kasiya knew the way very well by now, and she happily led her friend in the proper direction, glancing back now and then to make sure the redhead was still with her. In truth, she knew she really didn't have to check on Keegan every few seconds or so, so it was more of an excuse to steal a glance his way.
Saffron gym came into view a short time after, and Kasiya felt a surge of excitement. She glanced over at the gym next to it; a few of its dojo fighters were standing outside, probably getting some fresh air after intense training inside. They seemed to glower at the approaching duo, but turned their backs on them, pretending not to notice them. "We're finally here," Kasiya sighed, rubbing her hands together. She could see two figures waiting outside of the gym, and right away she recognized Whitney, who was standing next to a rather good-looking young man. Maybe she found a boyfriend, Kasiya thought, slowing her pace a little in order to keep Keegan even closer to her. Boyfriend or not, she wasn't about to give the boy-crazy gym leader the chance to repeat the scene with Mike she'd created only a few days before.

They soon came upon another Zubat. It wasn't hard, the place was crawling-or flapping, rather, with them. Train decided it was Pikachu's turn, and it ran ahead of her.
"You know what to do, Pikachu! Thundershock!" Train said. "Chuu!" Pikachu cried as it released a blast of electricity at the bat pokemon before it. The Zubat screeched out and fluttered madly, trying to make sense of what was happening.
The Zubat used an Absorb attack, but not to much avail. Some energy was restored, but not enough to stop it from fainting when the next shock came at it. It fell to the ground, one of it's wings twitched a bit. Train and Pikachu headed on.

Whitney and Raimundo had started up another conversation since dropping the previous one in regards to Kilik. Looking out the corner of her eye briefly, Whitney spotted another pair of what she had assumed to be lovers-- but, wait, if they were a couple, why was one of them so much farther ahead of the other one? Shouldn't they be holding hands and walking at the same pace, the same speed?
Then, the girl, who was the one ahead of the boy, came closer into view. She could make out the girl's face --the bright blue sapphire eyes, green attire, the bandana-- that was Kasiya. But, who was that guy with her? Just a friend, apparently.
"Oh, there she is!" she exclaimed to Raimundo, who reflexively turned to look in the direction the girl was indicating towards. "Oh, that's the girl? That's Kasiya?" he asked. "Yeah, that's her. But, like, I don't know who that guy with her is, though. Like, a friend, I guess?" She diverted her attention to the oncoming figure, raising her hand and waving. "Hey Kasiya! He-hey!" she grinned kind of broadly-- maybe if she appeared less intimidating and hormonal, Kasiya would forget her near-fatal attack on Mike.
Or maybe she won't. Maybe she'll just think I'm a complete and totally obnoxious idiot. I'm, like, such a jerk... Gah.
After getting the girl's attention, she made her way over to her, stopping a few feet in front of the blonde, a smile still on her face. Raimundo had been following Whitney, and after catching up with her, stood at her side.
