At the mention of his title, the figure sitting nearby stiffened and rose, striding over briskly to Erica's side, eying the two warily.
"I am here."

Ayx simply remained silent and still, perfering to let Ora speak.

Ora looked over her father, and then met his crimson eyes with her own. "I am aware you may not be very fond of me at the moment, however, I need your help."

"Our help? With what?"

Minerva the Marvelous
Minerva gave her a quick look over. "You have powers I take it? I'm guessing from the way you react to things. Anything particularly dangerous?" Minerva asked with a bit of curiosity. Powered people were something she was usually quite comfortable with, although not for the standard reasons most would take. She was accustomed to supers because she used to hunt them. Back in the old days before the war, when the government wanted a special person dead, Min was one of those people they sent out to take them down. It was never anything personal, but it wasn't something she tried explaining to supers very often.

Skye looked at her, at the ceiling, then down at the floor. She usually did such an action when trying to think of a proper response that wouldn't send a person running away screaming, which had actually happened quite a few times in the past. "I...guess so..." She finally settled with, "it's...complicated to explain..." She rubbed the back of her head awkwardly and then clasped her hands behind her back. "Although my powers are my powers I wouldn't use them in an abusive way, or in a way that would be greedy or beneficial in a selfish way." Skye said it like she'd had to tell a lot of people the same thing before, which she really had.

Minerva started to chuckle. "I take it you have some rather powerful gifts then, hmm? Don't worry too much, I've known and worked with people who could do some amazing things, some scary things, and some down right icky things." Minerva took a seat in the elevator, quite content on staying for a while.

"I'm making the last move, and it can't be done without your assistance." There was a high possibility it could happen even with his help, but Ora didn't want to share that bit of detail. "I'd hope you would know of what I speak, you've concerned yourself with it before."

Ruby walked back into the HQ. She looked slightly worn down and a bit tired. There were some dark circles under her eyes and they looked a slight bit pink as if she had been crying the night before. She also sported a few bruises left over from the fight, but other than that she seemed to be doing fine.

She yawned slightly as she made her way down the hall, twirling one of her curls absently around her finger as she walked.

Skye chuckled a little herself, but mostly out of relief than in humour. It was good to find people who weren't afraid of her powers, or weren't hateful towards supers or anyone of the same ilk. "They aren't as strong as my sister's, she's just amazing." There was true respect in Skye's tone when she spoke of her family. "Thanks for being so understanding, it means a lot." A nasty voice at the back of her head said: It won't matter whether she understand now or not, she said it herself that she's dying. You'll probably outlive her some way or another and be back at the start again.
Skye quelled the mutinous whisper and pushed the thoughts it brought away.

Xeen's sharp eyes narrowed.
"I have no patience for your games, Ora. Speak clearly, and to the point, or recieve no assistance from us."

Ora's eyes glowered...all these mixed messages were starting to piss her off. First it's don't say so much now it's don't say so little. Considering MoP pretty much knew what was going on anyway, Ora decided to screw it and forgo the charm to silence the area. "We're moving against my master." Ora quietly comforted herself by reminding herself it would be the last time she ever had to deal with asking Arch or her father for help.

Again, Xeen raised an eyebrow, but a small smirk crossed his face.
"Is that all, hmn? Well then. You have my assistance."

Oralia gave a quick nod. "Good, we'll be needing it."

"As normal as I am, I do have some inkling on the feelings of being different." Minerva gave a shrug. She seemed relaxed and comfortable even on the topic of her own looming death, but then again death had always been just around the corner considering her line of work. She couldn't count how many of her colleagues had blown off a piece of their body, or finished themselves off in a fiery explosion. It's just what happened. "So who's this sister you keep talking about?"

"Mornin'. Or afternoon."
Ora
Oralia gave a quick nod. "Good, we'll be needing it.
"Do we have a plan, or are we going to wing this?"

Just then, Sean walked in, hands in his pockets, his stylized katana on his hip.

"It's suppertime," the Butterfly from the Masquerade joked in a ringing tone. "Greetings, all." And she tipped an invisible hat.

She still wore the brown dress, stocking, slippers, and shawl from the party, as well as the orange-and-black butterfly mask, but she had long since gotten rid of the wings. In the light, her golden-brown hair was a much more striking contrast to the deep browns she wore than it had been in the near-dark.

She seemed slightly on edge, but trying to appear calm and at ease. Her eyes swept the room slowly, pausing for a split second on Xeen, Erica, Ayx, and Ora all together, obviously discussing something sharp, and did a doubletake on Anc. In the end, she settled for draping herself on a chair by Minerva and Skye. "I hope this isn't taken," she remarked in a low, pleasant tone that would reach no farther than them and Sean.

Skye's face seemed to brighten, along with her whole countenance. It was the sort of glow a person got when speaking of a beloved relative or friend, the proud and nostalgic glow. "Her name's Cordelie, but we all call her Deli or sis. She's really strong with her powers, she can control water, and is also very pretty. She looks after all of our relatives and is very smart and wise. She doesn't like fighting a lot, like me, but will fight when she has to and is really a great person." Skye rubbed the back of her head, grinning, "she never runs away when she shouldn't."
