Jak nodded, reassured by his friend's words, just then absorbing the fact that they were both fully dressed.
Wincing again, more from the realization of the reason for his condition in the woods and less from the pain in his head. "Sorry about that..."

"It's alright.." Mikey said with a reassuring smile "I'd probably be asking the same thing if I woke up somewhere strange and didn't remember how I got there.... I just really didn't want to leave you out there, I would've felt awful if something had've happened to you..."

Jak smiled weakly, mumbling a "thank you", feeling ill-at-ease as his memory returned fully. "I was looking for Suru...he wasnt home..."

Jak looked up, meeting the other's eyes, his own tormented.
"Laci...opted out. Apparently the two of them planned it all out..to have me..."
Anger pushed through the pain, warring for control. "They used me...both of them..."

Jak shrugged morosely, his expression confused. "I could have sworn....were they both acting? I could have sworn..."
Tears formed as he withdrew emotionally. "I watched Suru with her...Was it an act?"

"I dunno Jak.... I never really got to know either of them, so I can't really say..." Mikey shook his head slightly, before reaching for a tissue for Jakkin.

Jak accepted the tissue with a mumbled "thanks", wiping his eyes. "I need to find him...I have to know..." Jak leaned down to pull on his boots, pushing his hair back roughly as he stood up.

Jak nodded, opening the door and heading to the main door. He stopped there, turning to Mike, taking his hand and squeezing lightly. "Thanks Mike...for everything."

Jak grinned weakly, squeezing his friend's hand once more, the ache in his heart easing up slightly at his kinddness. "I may take you up on that..."
He slipped outside, wincing at the sunshine as the door closed behind him.

After Jakkin had walked out the door and it shut behind him, Mikey headed off to the kitchen to grab a cup of coffee before disappearing back into his room.

Shinji moved to hold open the front door for Lena, a smile on his lips. The coffeetable could be good. Oh! I just had the most awesome idea. We could get a coffeetable with a fishtank under it, and he could live there and have little friends. The thought made him laugh, as did his childish enthusiasm.
