Angel sweatdropped as he scratched the back of his head, would he have to confess and tell them the real reason why he said to come here. "Ehh.. Okay. Thanks dude.. But.. couldn't we just go look at the lions real quick.. you know.. since we're here and all.."

The blonde ventriloquist smiled for the children watching. The dummy seemed to be looking at Neo inbetween talking to the children. The children all laughed and stared at the dummy.
"Ameko's safe. Does that make you feel better?" The man approached Jaeger and Nightengale. He saw that what he said didn't seem to change the heroes' expressions. "No? Or is it that you just don't believe me. You should believe me, it's healthier for you." A few more sparks popped from his weapon. He was smiling.

Jaeger took a step back and got ready fo a fight. Although he didn't say it outright, the man was clearly threatening them. He knew where Ameko was, or so he said. Jaeger wished he knew who this guy was.
"Last chance. Where is she?"

Nightingale waited silently for the man to answer. She doubted that they would come away without a fight, but didn't like the looks of the mace.

Neo was getting creeped out by the dummy.
"Yeah lets take a look at the lions then continue searching."
She wanted to leave that spot.

Storm started edging away from the woman, than stopped, "That lady is really creeping me out, there must be some sort of...... something that she's doing that isn't good. Think we should check it out?"

Angel lifted an eyebrow, "Oh come on guys, it's just a chick with a puppet. I mean how bad could it be?" His smile turned into a frown as he looked at the puppet. It wasn't the woman he was freaked out about. But somehow.. it didn't actually seem like she was talking for the puppet at all.. Or.. was she? Shrugging he laughed, "Come on guys. Let's go." And so grabbing Neo's arm he began to walk towards the Lions, slowly.. just keeping an eye out.

The blonde ventriloquist smiled warming at the Titans as they passed. The dummy continued to make jokes to the kids. Over at the lion's area nothing seemed to be out of place. The lions lounged about more interested in sleeping than looking impressive.
In the woods, the man began to circle around. He pulled his device from a compartment in his belt. It was small and metal. "See, here's thing. You obviously have no clue who I am, so I have the advantage here. To make matters worse, I know exactly who you two are." He tossed the device into the air and it exploed in an intense blast of pure white light. He did not waste a moment to rush in and swing the mace at Jaeger.

"AH! DAMMIT!" The flash blinded Jaeger. It was especially effective against his keen eyesight. The mace caught him in the midsection and he crumpled without wanting to, the breath being forced from his body. His ribs hurt, but seemed to have held up. Jaeger lurch forward, holding himself with one arm as the other blindly tried to grab the man in purple.

Nightingale uselessly threw up her arms, and staggered back, then fell to the ground. She had barely recovered completly from the Dr. Light attack.

As the others went to the lions, Storm lingered a bit, and took a look at the woman again. Then, when the others started leaving, he stopped a moment to look at the woman again, just to make sure nothing was amiss. It was obvious he was on his toes and would jump at the slightest clue.

Neo looked at the lions.
"They're pretty cute sleeping like that."
Neo looked around for a bit taking a quick look at the dummy.
"Hey angel What other places would Ameko have gone?"

Letting go of Neos arm he scratched his head as he watched the lions. The truth was.. he had no clue. He hadn't hung out with Ameko since she and he were just little kids. "Um.. Well.." Watching the lazy lions sleep he tried to think. "Theres.. Um.. Someplace.. quiet.. Um.." Then suddenly an idea came to him, "THE PARK!"

The beautiful blonde ventriloquist smiled and waved at the children. The mobster dunny looked at Storm and Neo. It was obviously made of wood and there was a large scar-like mark on the side of it's face. "Can I help youse two wit' sumtin'?" It said in the thick New York accent.
"Good grief this is easy. Don't feel too bad though. I did nearly take out the Justice League." The man in purple walked around Jaeger and nightengale staying out of physical reach. "Now then, little piece of advice: forget about your friend." He swung his mace destroying Nightengale's computer. "Deathstroke's got her, and you won't be getting anywhere near him."
