With some reluctance, Asher got up and headed to the door. "I'll entrust him to you, then," he said before he left. He was a bit surprised to see Raki at the door, looking uncharacteristically small and sad, almost as if he felt abandoned. "Raki?" The boy hugged him tightly and seemed afraid to let go. Asher then remembered his brother was the same age as Leo, just as much a kid. He most likely needed him just as much as Leo did. "Let's go to the park." With that, they left.

A few hours past lunch Leo woke up feeling a lot better but extremely hungry. He sat up and rubbed his head gently, deciding to take it slow in waking up. Leo couldn't hear anything or anyone in the room and guessed that Asher had decided to spend time with Raki after all. Leo was just glad that Raki wasn't feeling left out.Rin had stayed with Leo the whole time but even she got tired and fell asleep in the chair that she placed at his bedside.

Some hours after they had left, the brothers returned with groceries for Thanksgiving the next day. After dropping everything off in the kitchen, Asher went to check on Leo, finding that he was awake. "Did you have a nice sleep?" he asked as he entered the room.

Leo looked up in Asher's general direction and nodded. "Yeah....I feel a lot better.....What are we having for lunch, I'm starving." he said softly, swinging his feet off the edge of the bed and taking a minute before deciding to stand.

"Well, Raki and I brought back some hotdogs from the park," Asher said, taking Leo's arm in case he needed support. "We also got food for Thanksgiving. Want to help us prepare it?" He knew some of those recipes required eggs, which he was sure Leo would be happy to break.

Leo gave a soft smile. "Hot dogs do sound pretty good." he said softly, standing up with ease and finding that his stomach was very balanced. "What kinds of food did you get? Anything other than what we had talked about earlier?" He hoped Raki wasn't too upset that Leo was hogging all of Asher's attention.

"Well, Raki wanted to include candied sweet potatoes and cranberry sauce," Asher answered as he led Leo to the kitchen. "The rest of the stuff is pretty much what we agreed on yesterday. The turkey we got was huge! I don't know what happened to it that got it to that size, but it's practically a feast itself!"

Leo smiled, glad that they could spend some time together. "Sweet potatoes and cranberry sauce sounds good." he couldn't help but laugh at his brother's opinion on the turkey. "How many pounds is it??" he asked, wondering just how big it was.

"It's around twenty pounds, if I remember," Asher said, emphasizing the number by tone. "It's going to be a mess to clean out and stuff.." He turned towards Leo then. "You know, the day after tomorrow is probably going to look like a stereotypical Thanksgiving feast. A ton of people gathered around a table with just about all the traditional foods sounds nice, doesn't it?"

Leo blushed a little. "Just like when we had Thanksgiving with our parents." he said happily, giving a little smile and continuing into the kitchen with Asher. "Do you think the turkey is big enough for me to put my head in it? Not that I would, I've just always dreamed of having a turkey that big." Leo giggled a little.

"It's probably the size of your head," Asher said, though he highly doubted it was big enough for Leo to stick his head in. He took the turkey, which was currently wrapped up, and held it next to his brother's head. "Yeah, just about. We're eating this, though, so you can't be a turkey head."

Leo couldn't help but laugh as he felt the cold bird just a few inches away. He placed his hands on the turkey and smiled. "That is a big bird." he said softly. "Where is Raki? I don't hear or smell him anywhere. And are the neighbors here yet? If not we should probably make sure that they're still welcome here."

"Now that you mention it, where is Raki?" Asher said as he put the turkey back on the table and looked around. It seemed that the food they bought, aside from the turkey, were all put away, though. "I guess he left after putting everything away. As for the neighbors, maybe Gramps went to get them. We haven't seen him at all today, after all."

"Maybe we should go check on them and make sure that they're being helped. I would hate for them to think that we've forgotten all about them." he said worriedly. "I'm sure Raki is off doing something productive."

"That boy does tend to disappear," said Daniel as he walked in with his grandson's friends. He briefly faced them. "This is the kitchen. Feel free to use it so long as you don't blow anything up." Returning his gaze to the brothers, he gave them a small smile. "Don't worry about Raki. Odds are, he'll be back in time for supper."
