Lark started to bristle the instant that Freya started getting a little too touchy with Kettil, and she got herself all riled and furious looking. One step forward, two -- wait, no, not two steps. She stopped and glanced behind her, green eyes alighting on the massive sneaker-clad foot that had settled on the long skirt of her dress. Eye. Daggers. At. Herryk. "Yer on m'dress," she snarked at the huge boil, tugging on the skirt of her dress. "Oh. So Herryk is." He was far too busy grinning at Freya poking and prodding and punching and ... head-locking Kettil. Lark snarled quietly to herself, delivering a small, painless punch to Herryk's bicep. It probably hurt her more than it hurt him - and when he turned that bright, beaming smile down to her, well. She felt kind of silly. Grouchily, the reaper ghoul crossed her arms over her chest and pouted. "It is fine, Lark," Herryk said cheerfully. "Freya does not want Lark's small, skinny boil." Lark huffed. Sure, Kettil was no big beefy mountain of a boil, but he was tall. Not overly broad, but lean. "Shut up yer face," Lark grouched, turning those eye-daggers onto Freya instead. When they finally approached Lark and the hulking blockhead she stood next to, the eye-daggers had faded and Lark was more pouting than anything. Herryk, too, had grown solemn, offering Kettil nothing more than a curt nod as he shifted on his feet. "Ain't upset w'ya leavin'," she snarked quietly, sending a sour look in Freya's direction. "Jest upset w'who y'decided t'leave with is all."

Suddenly seeing a student he hadn't really seen around before, Jericho's eyes widened. His paranoia didn't have much of a chance to spike up as she took his arm and began to dance around him with this spinny thing. "Yes... I'm known for being loud," he said with a weak grin while attempting to dance.

Jove had been milling about with an uncertain frown, looking for someone he was sure he could recognize. Someone without a mask maybe. Or someone with cookies, because a stranger with cookies was better than one without, no matter what his big brother told him. But suddenly he came face to face with what looked like Lizzy behind a mask, and no amount of stumbling backwards could prevent the hug. What, dance? She wanted to... but how... This wasn't a waltz! The perplexed and somewhat frightened puppy found himself dragged right into the middle of the dance floor where people were flailing about in a crazy manner. It would be a challenge for someone of his small stature to avoid being stepped on! With wide puppy-eyes he tried to look for an exit. O^O

"Me too!!" She screeched with a laugh. This boil obviously wasn't a banshee, but that wasn't the point. He had a loud and booming voice, and instantly Siobhan decided they had something in common. She kept on spinning with him until she released him and skipped off to dance with another partner. "Cotton Eye Joe~ Squeeee~!"

He was grinning like an idiot as he hit the ground, somehow landing on his feet. "Jack, Levi, you remembered the snowglobe fight! That's awesome!" he told her. "This dance ROCKS!" he said, swinging her in a spin. Was the punk boil a bit insane? Probably.

Realizing that Jove wasn't dancing, and instead, looked a little lost and frightened, Lizzy decided to take his hands in her both, and started to bounce up and down on the spot to the fast paced music, hoping to set an example, "Try it!"

Oh wow, she was a loud one! Jericho hadn't really run into other students who could match his loud mouthness. Perhaps now he had a 'rival' in that regard. In any case, she was off and he was on his own once more.

West had filed in right behind the tatzel, but instead of making his way to the dance floor, he lingered by the door, watching everyone kick up their heels. Eventually he ventured over to the refreshment table, hugging the wall all the way there. As long as no one was forcing him to participate and Lizzy's little protector was staying far away, West didn't give a crap what was going on...
Had Levi just tossed somebody into the air?
Interesting. West stuck a fingerful of dubbit liver pate into his mouth. He would have to ask her about that later.

There was a smile on his face and then it was gone as he moved closer toward Lark there was hurt on his face but that didn't mean he was going to force Lark to like Freya no matter how badly he wanted them to get along. For now he ignored the newest dance party going on in favor of Lark not caring that Herryk and Freya were nearby.
"Lar, I know...Y'got a beef with Freya and that's for you two to work out but...She's my best friend and I had to spend at least a little time with her okay? You are my Best Mate, yer closer to me than anyone'll ever get." His hands sought out Lark's.
It seems that Kettil had made a level of distinction between the terms of best mate and best friend during the time he started dating Lark but then the ghoul was never going to stop being his Best Mate.
Kettil leaned and kissed Lark's forehead, he wasn't going to drop an ultimatum on her he wasn't the type for such things. He gave Herryk a bit of a glance and smiled, "Thanks for keepin' Lar company."

Jove gave her the saddest "What have you done with my Lizzy" look, his fluffy tail hanging straight down, his ears folded backwards. He glanced around, taking in all the other masked students in various states of jumping and dancing about. Roch was there, and Levi, so it couldn't be too bad, could it? With a confused expression, the pup tentatively bounced on his toes a couple times. Was that what masked-Lizzy wanted?

Lark was... well, she was unhappy. So Freya focused on grabbing both of Herryk's arms, and pulling him away from the flying daggers. "Oookays, now we goes and dance, baby boil." The hoedown song came on, and it was just light hearted enough to keep her from letting the mood of the moment bring her down. But she knew, eventually she was going to have to deal with Lark. If she didn't, her friendship with Kettil was in jeopardy - and Freya wouldn't allow that to come to pass. But for now, prom took precedent. A hand grabbed her arm, pulling her in, and she looked at Mot with a laughing smile, stumbling as he pulled her - and she pulled Herryk - and away the train went, heading towards the hoedown. Once they were on the dance floor, Mot disappeared, and Freya linked arms with Herryk. This dance, at least, was easy enough. "AAAIYYYYYYYAAAAAAAAA~!" She screeched, as they began the excited hop of the hoedown. She started going from arm to arm, once her arm slid out of Herryk's, and she grabbed hold of Jericho and turned him hard and fast, flipping him perhaps just a little harder than he would have expected. Before he could retaliate, she was already circling back around, linking up with Siobhan, and twirling her around as well. Then she was back to Herryk, and her arm reached out to link up with the big boil.

Hel, still rather impressed by Shun this evening, had indeed shuffled after the grim and away from Lou, and wound up with a whole bunch of friends. Then the song faded, and now…now the new thing was hoedown. The reaper was content for the moment to just…watch…but she had also spotted a new potential victim friend she hadn’t spoken to in a while. Hel sidled right on up next to West and grinned up at the demon. “ Hello there friend!” She called out over the loud music and foot stomping. “ How are you this evening?”

It hadn't dawned on her just how hard what she said could be taken, her lips dipped at the corners she went to apologize to promise she would help in any way she could...
And Jericho was gone. Lizzy had snatched him up and tugged him away leaving Sammy with a meek look on her face staring at Shehk before shifting to a ?___? expression.
Then she found it was time to bring out the camera phone as poor Jericho was put through round after round of Hoedown. "Okay this is worse then Shehk in such a better way...."

-Aye? It took a moment for the ghoul as she spun in Roch's grasp to recall what he meant. OH! Ding ding ding! There was the lightbulb of enlightenment. Fightin' ain't so different from dancin'. Them boils back home just didn't get it! Need'ta use 'em muscles n' git 'awn int a it!
YEEEHAAAAW~!!!!She offered a good old hollering country call to the room, stepping a jumble of fast-paced steps side-to-side and looking for a following from Roch. Like'this! Yew got'it, yew got'it! She offered a few enthusiastic tips with her feet so they could try to keep their movements fluid. Drifter Jet Enduro just for call of the wild

Jericho didn't really have a chance to know what hit him this time. He had just recovered from his last 'hit and run' partner when Freya came out of nowhere and started to spin around with him. He was getting dizzy from all this spinning. And he wasn't even quite sure what was going on here. Thankfully, it was brief. Which just left him a little woozy once Freya pranced off.
