 Amelia blushed prettily, glad to be the center of attention. In a soft voice she responded, "Good luck with that," as a smile crossed her face. Hogwarts seemed to be constantly full of energy, so much so that she couldn't imagine finding a quiet place until after darkness fell. Still, she knew that as a seven-year Meiko could probably know of a place, or at the very least use some spell to block out all the sound.

Quickly, Ammy had decided that she liked Sparrow. It amazed her how much the girl could grin while partially covered in bandages, but no matter what that smile was infectious. Before she reached Olli, she turned back, to wave at the Gryffindor. She felt happier than she'd ever been. She truly had friends; people who were nice to her, not just because she was funny or a distraction in class. People who just liked her. She was positively glowing when she reached Olli.

Charlotte headed toward the Ravenclaw table to find Grace pecking on her finger. Charlotte patted Grace adoringly and let her sip some her water. Some of Grace's gentle, white feathers fell into the goblet but Charlotte didn't mind, she loved her owl. It was a gift from her mother. "I'll take you back to the Owlery later okay?" Then, Charlotte took a bacon sandwich and started munching.

Action | Spoken Word | Thought Kalle entered the Great Hall and slowly made her way toward the staff table, waving and beaming at students from her class along the way. She sat down and took a deep breath before pouring herself a glass of Nettlewine. As she took a drink from her silver goblet, she traced the raised vine pattern along the side with her index finger.

Olli Hufflepuff ; Fifth YearAs Ammy returned to Olli's side, she asked with a small laugh, "What was that all about?" She then realized that that sounded incredibly rude and nosy, so she quickly added, "You don't have to answer that," as she took another bite of her food.

Action | Spoken Word | Thought Kalle turned as Kenneth spoke to her. She had not had a conversation with him in who knew how long. 'I am doing rather well, thank you. What about yourself?' she asked, curiously inclining her head toward him. She wondered how he was handling Aludra's twin pregnancy.

 Callysto Volkova | Language Master | Head of Slytherin The Language Master and Head of Slytherin House, Callysto Volkova breathed a sigh of relief when she slid into her seat at the Head Table. She'd just retrieved her Grandmother's reply to her questions about the ritual -- how long it should take, and what not... What to do about a certain Slytherin sixth-year -- not that she had anything to do with the ritual, per se, but she could most definitely c**k things up for her and Lillian. The silver-haired elf broke the neat Volkova crest sealing the letter. Callysto,
I received your nice, long letter and enjoyed it immensely, even more than a box of dates! --Callysto raised an eyebrow at this -- Grandmother loved dates.Give my congratulations to your friends, those two should be very happy to have been blessed with the gift of twins! Enclosed it a list of lovely Elven names, do see that the mother gets it.
And now let me inform you, that you needn't be silent around everyone -- only your intended. Lillian, was it? A lovely name, indeed-- Callysto's jaw fell to the table. She could talk? Dear Merlin! That would have been useful information! The half-elf let the letter drop from her hands and she pushed away from the wooden table. "Kenny!" She shouted, moving quickly to her friend, grinning hysterically.

Kenneth was a little taken a back by the sudden shout of his name coming from Callysto's mouth. He looked at her all confused like and asked, "Um I thought you couldn't speak until after your ritual ended? Unless it already has and then you can explain to me what it was all really about?"

Kenneth took hold of the letter that Callysto shoved into his hands and began to read it. Once he finsihed he handed the letter back to Call and said "Well that's good to know, now only if Lillian would give you an answer. And oh what are those names the letter mentioned?" Kenneth was curious as they had still not come to an agreement on the twins names.

Action | Spoken Word | Thought Kalle smiled. 'I really do wish you two the best of luck. I think you will make a wonderful father,' she added; she was very happy for him. As Callysto approached, Kalle turned to glance at her. She seemed stresed about... something. Her ears twitched as she could not help but hear Callysto mention being able to speak with everyone but Lillian. Kalle cocked her head to the side. 'Why is it only Lillian you are able to speak with?' she asked in a hushed voice. She wondered if Callysto would answer, as they were not particularly close, but Kalle found it a very curious ritual indeed.

Callysto Volkova | Language Master | Head of Slytherin Callysto nodded, she'd love the ritual to be over as soon as possible. "Oh, the names!" She hurriedly grabbed at the second sheet of parchment at her spot and handed it to Kenneth. It took her a moment to realize that Kenny probably couldn't read the strange markings as the traditional Elven names were written in the Elvish language. The half-elf took the parchment back and began reading from the list. "Aebri, Aili, Astra, Aster, Cail, Callysto;" She smirked when she saw her own name written on the list. "Ah, yes -- keep in mind Elven names are gender-neutral, Kenny." She continued down the list, "Chixu, Eleniy, Eenia, Emi, Fa, Fai, Fabyl, Hastet, Hunra, Isa, Lim, Nephthys, Ninna, Xaynd, Xelenia, Xindra."
The silver-haired woman turned toward the sound of her colleagues voice. "Oh!" She beamed at the woman, "I gave Lillian a small stone at the Valentine's ball which is the beginning of the traditional Elven mating ritual. By giving her the stone I told her I intend to become her mate, only mate, for life. Now I must prove that I am suitable match for her; but I am not allowed to persuade with voice -- only actions."
