Zero Zero waved at Rose, considering Dark wasn't listening he just started a new conversation. "Hey Rose, what's wrong with Dark?" He asked, he'd really never seen a person that'd be drunk, or even buzzed so he knew nothing about it at all. ✗ A I D E E N ◦ K Y U M I ✗ ▬ Was agent ▬▬ Shark/Human ▬ ㊋ The assassin of the deep ♦ — ϟ Merciless One ㊋ Aideen also accompanied Malice, though not out of any desire to dance, she was out for blood today. "I have to admit Mal, I didn't know you were into this stuff!" Aideen laughed and decided to at least enjoy the advantages of wearing a masque. "So, mind telling me how this is supposed to go again, I've only got the ending in mind." Tonight, ignoring the cliche, was definitely going to be a night to remember, Aideen smiled at the thought.

Liliana smiled from behind her mask. The red dress she was wearing flowed beautifully behind her. It had been quite some time since she had been to a formal dance, let alone a masquerade! Enyo's summon had broken shortly before they arrived at the ball, so Liliana was completely alone, save for Malice, Lexus and Luna(?). She scanned the room for someone, and her eyes landed upon Oni. Here goes nothing... She made her way over to him. "Hello, Oni," she said.

A brightly lit ballroom, twirling faces that were not faces at all, features embellished with jewelry and adorned with feathers. Noses pointed, eyes accentuated, surrounded by generous amounts of gold and silver trim. Festive music loud enough to drown out the sorrows of yesterday and the worries of tomorrow, and enough dancing to wash away unpleasant tastes from one's memory, at least for one bright night. A masquerade. Primarily a human festivity, and here she was, a nobel (albeit outcasted) Dier, attending such a ball. She had dressed herself up to fit in amongst this mass of merry celebration, though she felt none of their lighthearted goodwill as she placed her mask over her true features to hide whatever secrets her skin, mouth, or eyes told the world. The floor was cold stone and Aeora felt as if one of the senses she was accustomed to was null. As if that unpleasant sensation weren't enough, she wore a pair of elegant shoes, of all things. Why these people chose to bear such an inconvenience every day was beyond her. Aeora walked alongside the one they called Malice, and amongst his entourage were others whom she had only exchanged brief greetings. For upon entering the WAS village, she was directed towards the mansion which sat almost overlooking the rest of the village. It was here that she met its owner and the village's apparent leader, Malice. After witnessing past events through her mind's eye, Aeora was greatly curious as to the nature of the WAS and desired to become closer to them to get the answers she craved, and so she consented to attending this masquerade with Malice and the others who accompanied him. As she stepped into the ballroom she immediately began looking at the masks around her, memorizing them and paying special attention to those whose owners appeared to be in rather high standing. This was a simple feat, considering the most elaboratly decorated masks clearly represented wealth and social standing due to the conspicuous consumption of the rich. It appeared that this was a universal truth, even in villages such as WillBe. "Every move they make can be forseen if you know their past actions. They repeat, even if the humans are unaware of the machine-like cycle they submit themselves to," Aeora obseved quietly to herself. She did not find mortals entertaining, nor did she find them worthy of her pity, though she had a habit of analyzing their behaviors. Perhaps this was done in an effort to understand them, though given her immortal lifespan she realized it was unlikely that she would ever truly know their ways, no matter how much she searched for the hidden meaning in their actions and lives. This masquerade was appropriate, then, for humans were like dancers at a great ball - their twirling movements repetitive and predictable, their faces obscured and indeed masked amongst others of their kind in the great dance of time. Knowing this, Aeora simply watched them go about their metaphorical lifetimes, as she prepared herself mentally to carry out her own dark purpose.

╔══════════════╗ ~|| Ʀơşɛ Lɛɛ ʗɼǫşş ||~'Challenge everything and never give up your rebellious nature.'≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎ Rose laughed and said to Zero, "Dark has had a little too much to drink is all, he should be fine in a little while though." Rose looked around at the town's people that were hurrying by, noticing that people were all dressed up, girls in dresses, guy in suits, all of them with masks on; then it hit her. Of course people were dressed up, the Masquerade was tonight, she'd almost forgotten about that. She supposed that she should get dressed soon as well, her house wasn't too far away so she didn't think it would take her too long to get ready once she got there.
She turned back to Zero and Dark, an excited smile on her face. "Are you both coming to the Masquerade? I bet it'll be fun," she said enthusiastically as she looked between the both of them, still smiling. She'd always loved the idea of a Masquerade, even though she'd never attended one before, she thought it would still be exciting to go to. She waited, eyes bright with excitment, as she waited for either of them to answer her.

 Gerzen Leichter(Is)
Halberd Bow Seed Siren's Flute Shield Restoration ~+~Run at your own pace~+~Gerzen hesitated a moment, watching Eos walk away questioning about places to eat. It was only when he saw her hair catch the light just so that he realized the moon had risen. Seeing her there in the moonlight...
"Is usually return to our base to eat," called Gerzen as he ran to catch up to Eos. ",but some have grown accustomed to the food offered by venders in Willbe. Still others have...alternative methods for feeding..."
It was Cirus who made Gerzen aware of everyone's eating habits. Those who needed to eat could be found wandering about Willbe most any day. The others who never left the base or their respective homes...well..
"Hm...?"
Gerzen realized there was something attached to his waist. Moving his hand over the object, he pulled it up into his line of sight.
"A mask...?" He said trying to remember what it was for.
Only now did his eyes look around him to see the citizens of Willbe crowding together and walking in the same direction-each wearing a mask all their own.
"Masquerade." Gerzen stated plainly as his mind made the transition from the object in his hand to the occasion it was meant for.
He turned to Eos.
"Have plans this evening?" He ask plainly while showing his typical grin-obviously unaware of the awkwardness of posing a question so suddenly.~+~Just be sure to stay out of my way~+~

Luna Thorn ~
Luna looked around, her eyes a glimmering and brilliant blue behind the black mask she wore. Her gown trailed behind her. Her dark curls were left to flow freely down her back, as she hated putting them up. Although she looked dark, the dress fit her well, and she looked unbelievably graceful and beautiful. Despite the fact that she was usually a harsh person, she could look graceful upon will, and was going to use her charm tonight. At least for the time being. The dress complimented her well, and she looked confident. She had more on her mind than a silly dance, but her stance and face showed confidence. It seemed like tonight may be a good night for her.
Luna hadn't been to a dance of any kind in thousands of years, and this dress made her feel absolutely beautiful. She just wanted to twirl around, but decided against it, as it would have made her feel quite ridiculous. She glanced at Liliana as she walked away, but simply shrugged her shoulders. She seemed to know where she was going. Luna grinned at Malice, and smiled slightly at Lexus. She looked around, scanning the area and trying to formulate a plan in her head. Yes, tonight was going to be a very good night...

Clay Rutherford Clay raised an eyebrow when hearing Harry's claim. Indeed, it would appear he could do anything with his magic, and, perhaps that was the reason for Harry's not so impressive physique. It had been several times now in his travels Clay had seen magic users focus solely on their magic and neglecting their bodies, effectively becoming what could be considered a "glass cannon". Clay knew more than anything, though, that one couldn't judge by appearance and seemingly more so in WillBe.
Shrugging it off, Clay grabbed a few boards that were laying around and began slowly walking toward the house, a staircase of ice forming under his feet with every step he took until he reached roof level. "Well, then... 'Let's get to work'," he repeated, acknowledging Harry's request.
It didn't take very long at all to rip the old roof entirely off and replace it with a new one. Harry's magic helped more than Clay initially gave it credit for, but the ice master had pulled his own weight during the reconstruction. The act of being in motion and doing something was pleasing to Clay. He could rarely sit still. The tiny act of helping rebuild Cheyenne's roof, though minor compared to everything else being done, was rather satisfying.
By the time Clay and Harry had finished, however, night had fallen upon them and the air had become cool. A stark contrast to the sun and heat felt during the day. "I think we're done here." He clapped and rubbed his hands together, doing away with the dust and splinters that had embedded themselves in his fingers. As his eyes looked over the newly constructed roof, Clay couldn't help but smile. They'd done a good job and it was much more sturdy than the last. I dare a hurricane to come blow this away.
As Clay came down from the roof down the same flight of stairs he'd created to reach it, the steps melting and disappearing as he walked down, he noticed the streets were now empty, save for the mass of townspeople headed toward a single location dressed in formal attire and wearing masks. He was naturally intrigued, not exactly sure what was going on, but he could guess. It was, after all, a festival.
A grin broke across his face as his voice lowered into an expectant, hopeful tone. "A Masquerade..." As he stood, a stray thought about Kimi entered Clay's mind, thinking about how she would act should she attend, what with all the jewelery destined to be going as well.

~^*Yoshiko Kyou Mao*^~ ________________________ A few kicks flips and some mistakes later Yoshiko had finished her training and walked all the way to the forests edge. Her hands were red from grabbing and rubbing the branches in training and some parts of her skin was red. The first things she did was wash her hands and the parts that were red.
As she walked down the road somewhere on the edge of town she saw a group of people walking towards some building wearing masks and nice clothes. Since she wasn't sure what was going on she was told what was going on from a citizan near by when she asked.
Sighing to herself she got herself a mask and kimono a few minutes later. She got back to the inn and changed into her kimono before heading to the Masquerade, wearing her mask. As for her weapons they were positioned near a window where she was standing, away from the dancing towards the wall. Yoshiko was an odd ball in the Masquerade since she was the only one who was in Japanese clothing, and wore her black collar necklace the same bra and the same pants underneath her kimono. The only thing she left at the inn was the sleeves.
"I figured as much when I heard the music... dancing." Yoshiko moaned in disappointment as her arms crossed. Yoshiko had never really danced since she fought most of her life.
((Gotta go. Later))

‘If souls had a price, I would steal yours’ How the hell had this happened? What on earth had Kimi gotten herself into? Because right now she was in a strange old woman’s house by the name of Edna. In fact Edna was, after spending many years as tailor, a teaching assistant at the school Kimi had helped to repair. But did that really explain this? Kimi was standing in a spare dusty room in Edna’s house, she had been washed (scrubbed) and was now in the middle of having a dress fitted. “I can not believe such a beautiful girl like you, has never been to a glorious event such as a masquerade ball!” Edna was currently gushing. “Really? I can”Kimi muttered while fiddling with a bit of the full length gown. It was extremely beautiful, hand made by Edna herself.
“I should have kept my mouth shut previously” Kimi thought while thinking back to a few hours ago when she was outside the school with some other workers, they had been talking about the masquerade ball, how it was a tradition. When Edna had asked Kimi if she was going. Kimi who had answered truthfully (for once) had shocked the people around her. Edna had then taken it upon herself to arrange a dress, mask, and a hot bath for Kimi. “You will be the bell of the ball” Edna exclaimed while gently placing the mask onto Kimi’s face. To be completely truthful Kimi felt rather foolish and silly looking. But she forced a smile. “I will return the dress at the end Edna” She promised “There was no need to go out of your way to do this…” Kimi added “I know that love, but I wanted to thank you for all your hard work, and of course to give you an opportunity to experience a wonderful thing” The old lady smiled a toothy smile. Her dark brown eyes leaked kindness. “I made that dress a while back when I worked as a tailor, but never sold it. I wanted to keep it, but when I met you I just knew it would be the perfect outfit” “I am grateful” Kimi spun around once giving Edna a look from all angles. Edna smiled before tutting “You have yet to see yourself! But look at the time! I am sure you will see what you look like later” Kimi was taken aback as Edna dragged her by the hand outside the house. She pointed to a crowed of merry and formally dressed people who where walking together in small groups “Follow them dear, and you will find the right location”
“Why am I actually doing this?” Kimi muttered out loud, she was hesitating outside the hall. The wind blew her hair which was down and had been curled into smooth waves. “Why am I so nervous?” added before stepping forwards. The doors where wide open and she had watched previous couples step in without a pause. Her eyes of course had been drawn to the vast amount of valubles, but she needed to relax and get inside, before even thinking about taking anything of use.
And what a sight it was! Kimi stood at the top of the grand staircase that led towards a huge ball room where couples spun around to melodies. It was a strange yet wonderful sight to behold. And she was part of it. She stayed where she was, wanting to take in the view for a while longer.

"Who are you... Cheyenne was acting a little bit frantic as they were ripping off the old roof, hoping her father wouldn't come home early. She was pacing, not baring to look at the ground or the place they were working out of nervousness. By the time they had the whole roof off of her house she was ready to faint. She stayed out of the way though, not wanting to slow them down, she was grateful. She watched from across the street at how fast they got it put up, but now it was dark. She stood up and stretched her arms above her head, walking back over to the pair. "Thank you, Clay." she said, but he was already walking in the other direction. She thought he would want some water or even a hug, but she guessed not. So she turned to Harry instead. "I can't thank you enough, Harry!" she said happily. Her parents were on her way home though. She didn't want to shoo him off, so she invited him in. "Why don't I get you some water? You must be a little tired right?" Where is everyone? she thought as she looked at him. While she was watching them work she noticed that there were less people out then normal. Why is today different? If anything there should be MORE people, what with the festival and all. Wait... it's the end of the festival! The masquerade! She had forgotten about it totally, and she forgot that her mother was going to lone her the dress she wore, if she found a date. She could only go if she found one, otherwise her mom wouldn't see a reason for her to go. She had a surprised expression on her face, and she was blushing. Anyone who didn't know what she was thinking would think it was out of nowhere, and she was the only one in her head so Harry must have thought she was going crazy for a moment. Well, he's here, and he did help with my roof, maybe he would go with me... maybe... She turned her back to him for a moment and took a deep breath, calming herself down. She snapped back to him and asked, in an overly calm voice, "Come in, I want to show you something." You seem so interesting...

Clay Rutherford Clay had only just barely caught Cheyenne's thanks, his mind now totally fixated on the Masquerade Ball and what he would wear. At first, it seemed hopeless, since the only things he possessed were only a couple of casual pants and a bundle of miscellaneous t-shirts. His stupor didn't last long, though as an idea struck him, his feet slowly moving on their own accord, taking their owner to where he no doubt wanted to be.
He knew what to do about his predicament, but what to wear? Moreover, he was filthy from having worked a good deal during the passing of time that day. Clay wasn't sweaty, though. He rarely sweat, even during the most grueling activities, his abilities keeping his body relatively cool, despite what actions he took or the weather at the time. He palmed his face. Of course! Why didn't I...? Idiot. The sheer stupidity of his worries seemed to slap him right across the face. His ice wasn't only useful, his teacher had taught him, it was also very practical for day-to-day activities.
A mischievous grin spread across Clay's face while an icy cocoon began to envelop him as he continued walking, starting at the head and, eventually, making it's way down to his feet. That didn't stop the ice master's voyage, however. The cocoon itself still held pace, headed toward the area where everyone else was gathering.
To anyone looking at it from the outside, it would have appeared that a large block of ice, roughly as wide as two large men standing side by side and just under 7 feet tall, was floating it's way to the Ball, and rightfully so. On the inside, though, unseen to all, Clay had melted some of the ice to its liquid form and was using it to bathe and scrub himself clean while also directing his large, eye-catching creation to where he wanted it to go. Again, Clay couldn't believe he hadn't thought of something like this before. It seemed completely obvious to him now.
When coming upon the entrance to the mansion where the Ball was already being held, the block of ice stopped just short of the door, some of the townspeople around stopping and staring for a moment before moving on. With only a low, rumbling sound as a warning, the ice cube burst open, Clay being careful that no one was harmed by the shards as they flew off, eventually to dissipate into nothing. As the clouds of icy mist that had formed inside the hollow block cleared, Clay stood tall and proud, not to mention clean, wearing a simple, yet elegant shirt and vest along with an avian inspired mask, in honor of his eagle tattoo. ((The only difference would be that, since Clay's clothing is ice, the different colors on the pictures would translate to different shades of blue on the ice.)) Stretching and bending a bit, the "clothing" Clay had created for himself moved, bent, flowed, and even creased as if it were cloth. It only did as much because Clay willed it so, otherwise, it would have been as stiff as... Well... Ice. Straightening his bow tie, icy mist coming off in small amounts from all over his person, Clay strode confidently into the beautifully decorated room. Oh, how much fun he would have this night.

~Angel~Angel smiled at the girl who offered her help, but shook her head "no it's fine they will heal on their own" she got up and gave a little salute "that masquerade thing is on later, i better get ready and so should you" Angel smiled and turned "i'll see ya there" she made her way back to her house transforming on the way. the cuts on her face had healed though the ones on her side hurt she paid it no mind as she decided to get ready for the masquerade, getting washed and then sorting out her hair first...she had curled her hair leaving a long piece of hair frame her face on either side and then putting her hair up putting it into a pony tail as the long curls dropped down her back. she went over to her wardrobe picking out an old dress she still had from a while back, slipping the dress on she smiled slightly as she walked out the door she grabbed her mask and put it on. leaving her house she then walked towards where the masquerade would be held. Angel had no high expectations but she went anyway, she thought she might as well.

Harold "Harry" Jackson Harry followed her in. He was proud of the roof and was glad that Clay had noticed (he wouldn't have). "What do you have to show me Chey?" The thought of the danced tickled the back of his mind. He wanted to ask but . . . he couldn't dance normally. His beat was quickened and involed a lot of spins.

Oni turned to see Liliana walking towards him. His tuxedo a daring blue and a matching mask, he wondered how she knew it was him. "Why hello there, Liliana. It's been a while since I've seen you around. Since the tournament, I believe." He smiled as he looked into her eyes. Something was different about her tonight. Perhaps it was her dress, or maybe that she was wearing a mask and it added some mystery to her. Liliana smiled back at him, a sweet and sensuous smile. "Yes, I do think it's been since then. But then again, that's only been a couple days, has it not?" She allowed her feminine instincts to take over. She drew a finger down the front of his tuxedo jacket and tugging on the orange necktie he wore. She pulled him down into an unexpected kiss. Though quick, she knew he'd want more. All as well, that was her first kiss and she thought she was pretty good. She moved to nibble his ear a little and whispered, "Follow me." She moved towards a door to the back of the dance hall that lead into the maze.Caught off guard by the sudden advance, Oni allowed himself to be kissed. "Wow," was all he could mutter before turning to follow Liliana into the mazed back. He followed her into the maze until they had made it to the middle. Since she had run and he had followed so quickly he needed to sit down, and lucky for him there was a bench at the center.Liliana stood behind Oni, her hands tracing the sides of his neck. "Such a pity," she said quietly. She bent enough so that her mouth was next to his neck, her fangs barred. She licked once, and felt his pulse racing under his skin. "Perfect," she said as she quickly snapped his neck to the left. As he fell to the ground, she pulled her dagger from her ankle and cut out his heart and left it sitting on the bench. She picked up the body, slung it over her left shoulder and jumped over the hedges, licking the blood from the dagger in her right hand all in one fell swoop.
Liliana took the back way to her house, entering from the window upstairs that she had left open. She looked down at Oni's lifeless face. "Such a pity. Your veins were wonderful." She laid him down in her coffin. Downstairs she heard someone rummaging around. It's probably the Was that Malice sent to collect my things. I hope they don't forget my tea. She went into her wardrobe, it was untouched as the Was wouldn't want her wearing an Is uniform. She pulled one out and dressed Oni in it while he was still lying down. She then pulled a stake out of one of the drawers inside. Smiling, knowing she'd have a new life in a matter of hours, she plunged it into where Oni's heart would've been to simulate that she had been stabbed before the fire.
Not a single thought of remorse floated through Liliana's head, other than having to waste her first kiss on this. She changed into some regular clothes, and boxed up the dress in a nice fashion and went into the bathroom. She pulled her hair up into a tight ponytail/bun and pulled a ski mask on over-top of her hair. She looked like a normal cat-burglar, just how she wanted to look as she walked out of the burning building. She went downstairs to the living room, where sure enough, there were Was collecting her things. "Please don't forget my tea, blood, and books," she said gesturing to the cabinets and bookshelves. She sat on the couch and waited, soaking in the memories she had had here. She would wait until just before the masquerade was over to set the house on fire and leave.

"I'm..not so drunk to not be sober in my drunkenn..oohh.." He groaned, the words running horribly in his head. "But I don't skill secrets..not lith.." He stopped. Maybe if he got his head straight, but the sillyness of this all was so amusing that he was still trying to hold in a smile. And the more Rose pushed for him, the more a smile formed. He heard her speak, but he didn't know what she was talking about until someone was speaking in front of him. With a heavy sway of his head he looked at a boy, a familiar one in front of him. He knew the kid..right? Yeah, he looked familiar. He said something, and knew what he said but his head was still busy trying to figure out who it was. The boy turned away, and for some reason he only recognized the young demphyr that way. "Oh! Zero.." He finally spoke out, and turned to Rose when she explained his situation. "If not..I'll go vomit somewhere.." He assured. People were running by, and Dark had to get his act together to realize why. While he had been helping the town he had recalled hearing people speak about things, though he never payed full attention. But now that he thought back he remembered the Masquerade. Apparently Rose had to..and her enthusiasm made him tense. "Me..? Well.." He looked toward Zero. Was the kid going to? Dark shifted against the wall, and turned to look about. "..I..don't have an outfit yet, so..I probably..won't be...going any time...soon?" It was only an excuse. A masquerade ball was not his thing...especially the masks. "How about you, kid?" He asked, turning to Zero. In truth he was just trying to get the attention away from himself.
