..................................................................................................................................................✖✖✖✖✖ Etsushi was vaguely aware of someone holding her, and their chakra swirling around her body, pushing and pulling sharp beads of pain from her skin. She blinked, clearing her vision of the tears and saw the man from before who had healed her. She opened her mouth to say something but her voice died in her throat. She had a feeling if she said anything, she'd start screaming again. She looked up at the sky, ignoring the bursts and throbs of pain along her body.
That's when she felt something warm press against her skull and enter her mind. She stiffened, feeling that warm slither into her darkness. She immediately brought her defenses up, pushing the warmth back out of her mind. There was a struggle, but she managed to shove the warmth out. At the same time she saw Aeden blast backwards. But she was too tired to care. Her eyes fluttered shut and she drifted backwards into an enternal darkness.✖✖✖✖✖ Chakra: 101/120

Kay awakened just in time to see the mass of suna shinobi he didn't know existed here, and the manticore walked forward among them, Carrying Kay to the front where Jade would have been. He got down and stood before her, looking into her eyes with an accomplished expression. (Writers.... block...)

 Aya Gensai Sunagakure | Summon/Chakra | Weapon Master Aya had witnessed the battle with the man named Zane purely through sound, as she had remained inside the training facility throughout the entire fight, doing nothing to help or aid the others. Once it was over, she felt curious about what exactly had happened, since the audio representation was never as real as the visual. Once she had stepped outside, she noticed that shinobi were gathered around what seemed to be the Kazekage, although she had never met the woman herself.( Writer's block as well, but that may be because I haven't slept in 24 hours. ) Chakra: 31/31

 David GreysonSunagakure | Ichibi | Special JouninTeacher { Sand } Tactical~ David's sand platform glided to a stop, landing just outside of a growing crowd of ninja, apparently all summoned by the messenger he had seen running about. Or the giant pillar of flame. It was hard to tell around here. Smoothly stepping off of the platform as it stopped, David continued walking towards the center of the group, arms crossed over his chest. He observed several things while he walked. One being that the ground was covered in shards of wood, despite the buildings nearby being mostly intact. That would be the puppets from earlier then. The next thing he noticed was that a lot of the people he was walking past were giving him plenty of space, which likely meant that he wasn't so anonymous anymore as he had been when he woke up. And the third thing, was that the boy from earlier, who at this point he surmised to be Kay, was still riding the Manticore around. An act he thought rather foolish, as he was fairly certain the beasts had poison spikes on their backs. Finally David stopped walking once he'd reached the center of the gathering, standing in front of the kazekage. "You know, this sort of thing always seems to happen when I try to take a day off." he muttered, loudly enough for anyone paying attention to hear. And it was true too. The first time he'd taken a day of rest, was the day the Ichibi first attacked. The second, was the second time the beast attacked, and he'd had it sealed into him. The third time wasn't so extreme, as the chuunin exams had come up. The fourth, Cloverfield, and now this when he'd tried to get away and do private training. It truly seemed some days, as if the world was conspiring against his ability to train. ~ [Chakra: 86/90]

Jade had remained quiet throughout the ordeal of people gathering. Kay had arrived, as well as a few other people. The manticore looked a bit taxed, so Jade placed her hand on it, and dismissed it. The crowd seemed rather excited, probably due to the entire fiasco that had just occurred. For another moment, Jade was quiet, and then she raised her hand. It took a moment for the people to settle, but she had their attention now.
"It seems as if the gods are testing Sunagakure." Her eyes traveled around the crowd, moving from shinobi to shinobi. "You all have been ravaged by the Ichibi, bandits, rogues, gigantic beasts, and now, the former Kazekage." Her last words were solemn. "Once, he was great, but he fell. Zane Hajime dared attack this village, though his motives are unknown. Perhaps he sought to conquer the village, or merely destroy it." She now began to pace back and forth atop the facility. "A few people were harmed, but look around your village, and tell me, what do you see?" She gestured with both hands across the area, a questioning look on her face. "I see a family, riddled with strong shinobi and kunoichi, willing to risk their lives for their village. We are still standing! We are still strong! For now, and forever!"
Jade thrust her hand into the sky, and a massive roar went up with it. Ninja were shouting and jumping around, apparently approving of her speech. Jade turned to a random member of the Suna ANBU, giving them orders to repair the tower, once again. The chuunin exams were close, and there wasn't anytime to dawdle. After the people began moving, Jade turned to Kay, a soft smile upon her face. "I am proud of you, Kay." She embraced him in a short hug, and then stepped back. "You have proven yourself worthy of becoming a Chuunin. We'll handle the formalities later, but consider yourself ranked up. I'll be expecting much more from you now, and your first mission will be to help get the genin prepared for the chuunin exams."
{If anyone is wondering if what I did was legal, yes it was. Zane approved a single auto-rank for each village, and Kay was my choice. The fight just postponed his promotion}

There were still fires raging, though mostly controlled. She stepped delicately around the debris from the fallen buildings. She moved closer to the Kazekage until she was standing next to her, "Kazekage-sama," she muttered so that only the woman in question would hear her, "About what just happened with Zane... I believe that some answers reside in Kirigakure. With your permission, may I go to said village with Kay and gather the answers," she pursed her lips together, and gave Jade a pleading look. ✖✖✖✖✖ Chakra: 101/120

"Orrah!" Aeden's fist went into the air during Jade's speech, gourd tied to it as he drank a swig or three. Then he went to Jade. "Everyone that was injured is all patched up, more or less. Aside from that, Sora did an amazing job of patching me up herself. I'd like to recommend her for any mission that requires medical attention, get her some field experience."
Most looked at Aeden as he spoke with a confused look. No one but Jade would remember how he originally looked, before he had to change his appearance when he left Iwa. His hair was a natural white color, and without the wraps was rather long. He'd need a haircut soon. Even though his appearance reverted, his personality hadn't, he was still the lovable drunk everyone loved.
At Etsushi's request, he thought for a moment. "Patched her up myself. I'll need to do a quick check-up on her again, but she should be fine for mission work, as long as you don't fight." Aeden's gaze made it clear he was being serious. "It took a hell of a lot of chakra to patch up your wounds, even more so to mentally stabilize you. Not my best working conditions, and I had to rush it. Just swinging a sword could easily retear a ligament or reopen a wound. Regardless of what she says, I recommend you rest for another couple of days before you step foot outside the village. Same for everyone else that was involved. And if you're worried about Zane gaining distance, the stunts he pulled today drained him as much as they drained us. He'll need a couple of days to regain his chakra, weeks to rebuild his puppets. Time won't be an issue for you." He turned around and rolled his shoulder. "That means double watch rotations to ease fatigue... but we need a heavier patrol to make sure there aren't any more puppets laying around. God damn, gonna be one hell of a long night." He turned back again to face the two. "Aside from Etsushi, I'll need to reexamine everyone involved with the attack. Anyone outside of that will need to see Sora if she's up for it." His mind was racing, as it always was.

Hearing Jade's words brought a smile to Kay's face. It had been taxing on the village as the constant center of all forms of destruction, but he was happy enough that he had been able to survive, and that the village had taken considerably less damage than when the cloverfield attacked. Kay nodded, hearing about how Zane had fallen. He had indeed, and it was unfortunate. He was the only person in suna who knew the infinite one sword style. Kay had been so astounded at his survival and the speech that he almost didn't hear or feel Jade's words. He was a chuunin? And Etsushi requested him for a mission? Kay fell backwards, as unconscious as he was apprehensive.

She sat down with him, his head in her lap. Without missing a beat she looked at Aeden and pursed her lips, "If I get attacked, I'll be fighting back. But I'm not going to rest. This is important... I'm not after Zane. I'm after information. I'll be fine," The 'For the most part' went unspoken, and she turned to look down at the unconscious Kay. She grinned a cold smile, "If worst comes to worst, I'll just use psychological fighting. I'm not called the Akasuna no Chi for no reason you know," she said, unconsciously running her hand through Kay's hair. It was something she use to do to her sister when she was stressed.✖✖✖✖✖ Chakra: 101/120

It was just the usual rallying speech leaders enjoyed making before and after battles to get everyone going. Sticking his hands in his pocket, the boy simply observed for now. Kay's promotion earned a raised eyebrow, but still didn't much matter to him. It was expected after so long really. What did interest him though, was an odd man, who he quickly perceived from his mannerisms to be the same as he'd met in the tower arriving and seemingly "taking charge". Not really having seen him before that day, he was left to wonder just who he was meant to be. Wasn't Jade supposed to be the kage? She did have the funny hat after all. Shaking his head, David bit his tongue. It was probably best not to question it. Not among such a large crowd at any rate. His attention then turned to the newly arrived redhead, who had caught Kay after his rather embarrassing fall. She apparently wanted to go to Kiri and investigate... Something or other... Deciding that he wouldn't mind seeing the mizukage again himself, David moved over to her. "I'll go along with her." He stated. Not a question or even a request, but fact. If she was allowed to go, he'd go along. ~ [Chakra: 86/90]

Her lips pursed as her obsidian eyes flicked over the crowd, roving from face to face to do a quick head count. There were simply too many people there. That wasn't what worried her, though. No. What worried Sakaye was that more than half of the faces before her were ones she had never seen before, or seen only briefly. She rolled her shoulders back to correct her posture, holding her head high and brushing off the thought as if it were the dust of the desert itself. What did she expect? She had been gone for almost two years, having left to seek strength she hadn't been able to find in Suna by wandering into the desert. She raised an eyebrow at the sight of a woman who, aside from wearing the hat which marked her status as Kazekage, was hard to miss due to the enormity of her breasts. She had heard that Koizumi had lost her place as Kazekage long ago and that a man had taken her place. She hadn't known that yet another change had taken place in Suna.xxxxFinally, A small smile tugged at the corner of her lips, threatening to spread across her face as her eyes finally met a familiar face. Never in her life did she expect to be pleased to see the one person in Suna that had caused hate to bubble up in her throat. David was there standing off to one side with the usual bored expression across his face. His lips were the only indication of movement as he addressed the Kazekage quietly enough so Sakaye couldn't hear him. The woman who had spoken before him, however, had Sakaye's sable eyes narrowing as she observed the way she spoke, the way she moved as she caught the boy that had embarrassingly fallen. Her movement was fluid and graceful but there was something else about her that bothered Sakaye. She moved, spoke, and reacted aggressively, her movements rough and harsh coming from a body like the one she was in possession of. The ebony-haired kunoichi already didn't like her. As a rule, she didn't like any women, except for her twin sister and Sora, but she liked this woman even less than usual. There was something about her that she didn't trust. Sakaye made her way through the crowd until she was standing at least ten feet away from the redhead woman, folding her hands and bowing slightly out of respect for the Kazekage. Her hands were folded carefully before her, keeping the plate sewn into the back of her glove on constant display for any curious wandering eyes. The plate itself bore the hourglass of Sunagakure no Sato, just as the headband she wore around her neck did, marking her as a kunoichi of Sunagakure.xxxx"Lady Kazekage-dono, I would like to request an audience with you when you have a moment." Her voice was one of the few things about Sakaye that had not, and would not, changed. Soprano, euphonious, and bell-like, the silvery words washed through the air like music while she spoke the hushed words. She straightened, albeit stiffly, as she leveled her eyes at the face of the Lady Kazekage, her obsidian irises flicking over the woman and absorbing every minute detail that there was to catch. Her body was tense, her mind sure that almost every eye in the building was on her, this strange kunoichi bearing a Suna headband who had seemingly appeared out of the desert heat rising in rippling waves off of the sand. Her body was petite and toned from vigorous training, her long onyx hair tied away from her neck as her bangs fell gently towards the side of her face. Her piercing ebony eyes were those often belonging to the Nara clan, her right eye bearing a scar from a past training accident to match the "X"-shaped one slashed across the bridge of her nose. Her pale skin was the color of old, creamy ivory, standing in sharp contrast with her clothes and other features. But the most interesting thing about Sakaye was not her looks, she simply looked like a Nara who had wandered into the desert. Sora walked slowly from the medical center to the training facility. The entire past few hours had been a blur to her, and she honestly hadn't a clue why she was even going. Hello, the Kazekage rarely spoke to her or even looked at her! Her feet were quiet as she walked into the facility, taking a seat on the ground near the back of the crowd. After all... she wasn't apart of this circle anyway. Nobody cared about her. Who wanted a stupid medical shinobi that couldn't fight?
As the Kazekage began talking, followed shortly after by the red-head, David, and Aeden, Sora zoned for a bit. She looked at the walls, the ceiling, the floor... she looked everywhere where she wouldn't be marked off as weird for staring. Then she heard her name, and the word amazing in the same sentence, and looked up. Aeden? Uh... maybe. "Yes, of course..." Sora muttered quietly to herself when Aeden said she would have to look at those involved in the attacks that didn't get checked by him. Aeden was so weird sometimes; always drunk and doing extremely crazy and weird things. But he was... okay, he wasn't exactly lovable. But she would gladly give him anything he wanted... except for a long list of things.
"Shay...?" Sora stood up at the arrival of the young kunoichi with black hair. She was the same height as Shay, had the same hair as Shay, had the same eyes as Shay. It had to be Shay! But the thing that made her certain that it was Shay was the scars. The girl's face, no matter how scratched up it was, still had that lingering feminine beauty that Sora knew to be Shay. The girl had died, though. Lost in the desert sands. "Shay, is that really you?" If it wasn't, Sora would certainly go off and commit suicide out of embarrassment. If this was truly Shay, then maybe Tanzu was somewhere out in the desert, too. Lost in one of the many sandstorms that blew through the area. Lost... just trying to find his way out.

Even as the cheering died down and shinobi began to talk among themselves, some celebrating the victory, others preparing defense just as Aeden had also suggested, a chuunin ran into the crowd, forcing himself through the crowd until he was in front of the kazekage. "The attacker is at the gates!" he burst out, unintentionally loud enough for everyone to hear him in his rush to get the information to the kazekage.

Akura turned toward kay and offered his brother a smile. " Congrats Bro, hopefully I'll be getting my promotion soon." Akura told Kay, quickly turning his back on the large group. ' Well well boy, you let Kay surpass you yet again... just when you had an edge on him...He just jumped over you again...Sucks doesn't it.' Akura's brother told him, the boy only sighed as he got toward the apartment complex. " Shut it man... I'm going to be training hard before the exams... after I eat something..." Akura then said, heading toward the apartment complex. ~ [Chakra: 1/25]
