My school's about the same size then. For some reason, every person I talk to out of state is shocked that my class has 800-some seniors.

How is that shocking? Do they just think not very many people graduate in IL?

I think it might be that everyone I talk to out of state just happens to be outside my normal "neighborhood," since I don't travel around much in Illinois. And maybe by some coincidence everyone out-of-state I talk to just comes from a tiny school.

Weird, I wonder what being in a small high school is like.

You'd probably know everyone, or at least heard of everyone. New students would probably be immediately noticed.

I dunno, I kind of wanted that in college. It's why I looked at a few liberal-arts schools.

Have you still not decided where you're going yet?

Cool, did you chose it for any particular reason or did you also figure out what you want to do?

It was mostly because I got a scholarship, so it made it significantly less expensive than some of my top choices. And I really didn't want to go to U of I, so California it is.
Oh, and it's probably going to be some sort of engineering.

I hear engineering is a really good career in terms of stability and pay.

Haha, yeah, but Los Angeles isn't so hot in terms of employment rate. I guess I'll cross that bridge when I have to.
