((I suppose we're disregarding that previous post above us.)) X23 shifted from one foot to the other repeatedly, beginning to grow restless with all this waiting. She was also trying to decide on a name for herself as well.
Angela? No... Christine? Too feminine... Lacey? Ugh...
"Picking names is hard..." she muttered, loud enough for Babs to hear.

Barbara finally turned around, "Christina isn't a bad name. although you could go ... with .... Tina..." Bespeckled blue eyes looked from one Beast Boy to the other one, "Uhhhhh... Gar?"
(this is like: Will the real Beast Boy please stand up? Of course, one is the 'real McCoy' and the other is an alien.... which Prof. Xavier would pick up on ..... hint hint)

((You know what's funny? How there was no indication whatsoever that this other Beast Boy was around until now... So what do we do? Also, funny little story: My first girlfriend was named Christina, but I called her 'Tina' for short. Now, back on the Beast Boy topic: Would their scents be different? If so, X23 should be able to tell them apart.))

Kurt paused and then looked at the two girls in confusion.
"You two girl's can really eat that much? We are usually pretty well stocked, you sure zhat such a trip vould be good?"
He asked starting to walk again. Something about two young girls didn't match with the idea of eating a bunch. He might be more likely to believe such a thing if they were teenage boys, but if they thought it was a good idea they probably should leave the base for food. Of course he felt that it should probably be in incognito. No need to draw attention. He reached for a watch on his wrist and stood up a little bit more strait as he walked turning the dial. The moment the dial was turned on his watch he took a more human look. His hair became black, his skin pale tan like that of a normal person, and his eyes brown. Kurt's fingers appeared to be like that of a normal hand, tail invisible and his ears of normal shape.
"I think we could pull a small grocery run anyway. You girls have some civilian clothes or... cleaner clothes to go to zhe city vith?"

Gar turned, new arrivals. More of them anyway. And with the arrival of one particular new person he was a little shocked.
"Stunt double anybody."
He glared at the copy with curiosity and confusion. Someone copying his looks, did this person also copy his powers too? He pondered through a few ideas before speaking again to the general group. He waived his hand at the other BB.
"He can't be me. I'm Garfield..."
Xavier was out of the room but thought himself there in the mind of all the members that were congregated except the new BB. "Our Garfield is still here, the newcomer is not the same as our Garfield his thoughts are different, and I read a somewhat different history. Although he is not Beast Boy he should still be a good help to our team. Please do not create conflicts, I will be there momentarily. Xavier out." He sent the connection and then broke it as he began to move to the war room. He was able to get some rest but trying to make sure his students and the new members to this school would be safe.
((There's a try and sorry guys... ya'll kinda left me in a dissy with what to do for the longest time so I kinda gave up here, but I hope this helps get it rolling again emotion_eyebrow ))

To say that Apex was surprised by a man's voice suddenly popping into his head would be an understatement. His training immediately kicked in, and whether Xavier would realize it or not he was more or less kicked out of Apex's mind within moments of his words ending, with the young mercenary firmly closing his mind afterward. He did not like telepaths very much, and he was wanting to protect the memories of his past-- which Xavier had seen after Apex first arrived actually, but Apex wouldn't know this.
X23, on the other hand, had been able to tell the two Beast Boys apart by their scent, and had just been about to go into "protect my adoptive mother mode" again before Xavier's words entered her mind. Like Apex, she was trained to resist telepathic intrusion, but there was something about Xavier's voice that prevented her from doing what Apex did. Plus there was the whole "If Mother trusts him, I should too" deal.

Oddly enough... the Stonewall assassin Professor blinked heavily, when he heard Charles Xavier's voice in his head. The bespeckled man brushed a bit of his stubble and looked at Castel in the adjoining cell with a quisical expression, "Did you hear that?" Castel just stared back blankly....

Babs and Songbird almost jumped. Neither woman were used to having someone else speak inside their own heads. This time, Melissa was the first to recover, "Yeah.... Everything's normal... got it."
Nightshade chuckled slightly in the corner, "It just takes a little to get used to. Professor Xavier is a good man -- nothing to fear."
Barbara Gordon just nodded after a couple moments, still a little wide-eyed, "Well... Okay then. Is everyone up to speed with what we are going to be doing to gather intel in I.O.?"

The air turned slightly warmer. A slight buzz entered the room, the sound unable to pinpointed appeared out of nowhere. Metal objects in the vicinity began to float and move as sparks of electricity flew through the air. The buzzing noise growing somewhat louder continued as the lights and electrical equipment began to flicker. The slight buzz had now transcended and to anyone with sensitive ears it was becoming a hindrance.

((Crap, I forgot to mention-- When your character enters one location, you put [Enter from (Whatever the location is)]. When you leave the thread for another location, it's [Exit to (Location)]. Apart from that, your post is fine. Just remember that system, it helps people keep track of where their characters are going.)) Apex had heightened hearing, but he didn't actually show any hints of annoyance at the sound. X23, however, was another matter, as she gave an animal-like growl and unsheathed her hand claws, looking around for the source of the disturbance so that she could kick its a**.

Penance looked back and forth to the others, he noticed X-23 noticed the slight buzz. It was powerful enough to breach his own helmet. But it was very faint. Just like any sound there is always a source, but this sound was harder. ''Does anyone else here that?'' He looked around at the others once again to make sure everyone else noticed it.

[I am aware of the sytem, I did not use it as my character wasn't going to enter until the second post; this one. :: Enter Static from DCAU.] The buzz transitioned into an explosion of sound. The noise had transcended the auditory spectrum and became the visual apparition of a man dressed in a superhero costume with a thunderbolt insignia. He appeared weakened or in a daze. He fell to the ground as the sound ceased and the electric field surrounding him dissipated. The man attempted to get up and fell to the ground.
"Ebon..."
He trailed off as he slipped into a slumber, his body still tingling with small electric currents.

Penance still searched for the source of the loud buzzing, along with X-23 who was way ahead of him. Down the corridor he could see a downed figure. Even from where he was standing he could tell whoever it was, they were hurt. He ran up to the figure to get a better look. ''Who is this guy?" He could tell he some vigilante but what happened to him. The only thing her heard him say was ''Ebon''. Who is Ebon?

Apex didn't seem bothered by the explosion of sound, but X23 did. She grabbed her ears and shut her eyes, growling, but when she opened her eyes and saw Static, she retracted her claws.
Apex on the other hand, frowned; he knew who the kid was: Static Shock, from Dakota. A member of the Titans... How had he survived the assassinations? Obviously, Apex didn't realize that this was not the Static he actually knew about.

A slight hum arose from the figure's body. He sat there, nearly lifeless. His mind in a state of flux, his memories being juggled as he tried to make sense of what had happened. The boy let out a grunt of discomfort. He had a major headache and could barely make heads or tails of anything. He propped himself up and began to babble.
"Ebon, your days here in McDonald's are limited! You're the best at being a loser but when it comes to a good party, you know how to --"
He fell back his head hitting the ground, leaving a loud thud and some jumbled thoughts for all to hear. He lie in a hysterical state, drained and depleted. Sound, sight, and thoughts fade to black as the boy slips into a dream-like state of hallucinations.

"What the fu--?" X23 asked, though she was cut off when Apex moved forward and put two fingers to Static's neck, checking for a pulse-- it was there, but somewhat weak.
"He needs medical attention," Apex said shortly. "Is any such thing around here?"
