She jumped into the air, but it didn't stop him from "drawing" and after the cross was made, it went after her. But it'd miss, and she was going to be in the air too long for it to hit her on the way down. They'd still be able to see each other because the moment that mist hit the air, the place went really muggy while becoming cold. The mist was condensed from a half-gas, half-liquid state to liquid, so that it rained.

The spear landed. "I see... another type of instant burst." The observation was made twice, and the conclusion was good enough for him- from cold to heat, and this time, back to cold. Indeed, he was motionless as she came, but did she EVER whiff that kick.

It was between the time that the spear frosted and she dove that the ice became water, due to his Negative Gain. The power from the ice was absorbed, and his legs weren't trapped for more than a second. He kept the charade, complete with a worried look, until the right time... which was when she kicked.

Remember the shadow making him look fast? Its arm raised- a weak defense at best, but it was designed to slow Akemi down, not allowing the kick to just end with her being on the ground. Lazenca ducked. As her foot impacted the Doppelganger and he staggered, the true Lazenca leapt up and forward, somersaulting and intercepting the still airborne Akemi. His feet landed on her shoulders, then locked in place around her neck. As momentum continued and gravity took over, he'd flip once in air. The current orientation... when he landed on both feet, he'd still have her neck in his feet. The only way she could land would be on her stomach. One would have hoped that his move was powerful enough to crater the ground and prevent her neck from snapping, but it wasn't. His twisting and the weight of his body on her curved-from-motion body was going to probably have her neck or back snapped- depend on how well she stretched, and if she had any snake genes in her.

Likely not. The modified Frankenstein only took a full second to perform, since he didn't land on his hands to toss her.

When Lanzeca grabbed her she turned the rain in too snow a small localized snow storm that would cushion there fall and when she finished she turned it into razor sharp hail kunai and quickly interlocked her leg's with Lanzeca's head to slow down any evasion attempts that might happen. Any hail coming to her would be wouldn't break the special metalic compound that was woven into her pants, which would probably be the only area of her body they would hit, do to the fact that most of her body was under Lanzeca's own body.

Akemi was only herself with making the kunai hail, if it was in the same place as the mist- behind them, where the Doppelganger was. If it wasn't- if the sharpness was close to them, he was protecting himself with her body, and wasn't getting hurt at all.

He was pretty much standing on her head, except not- his ankles were around her neck, and she was facedown on the ground. For her to try and take his head, she was going to have to bend her legs backwards. It was a very unorthadox move, one he could see a mile a way because of his positioning. He grabbed her legs, tucking them in his armpits, and sat down to wrench her spine backwards. It was a Boston Crab, except that he wasn't holding back by not really sitting down. All of his weight was on her and pulling back, pulling her legs up behind her head.

"Tap out."

He recovered from the hard kick, and ran up to punt Akemi in the head while she was on the ground under Lazenca. That hit and the paining in her midsection was plenty of reason to give up. There was only one more thing to do from here if she didn't.

A quarter staff of think ice formed out of the moisture above lanzeca and then Akemi tried to strike his head from above using by using her hydrokinesis.. Finally it started to try smack Lazenca across the face repeatidly, in order to try and knock him unconcious before he manages to pull her up, Through methods which should be obvious by now. Even if not success full she would spin the moisture around them while controlling the heat as to miniscule class one hurricane, as a latch resort method in which they both would probably lose, but the sheer force of the wind would propel them back up into air, and might by her sometime.

Winget
Maximos, you are a very strange man.

::Maximos paused, pondering that concept for a few seconds. His finger slipping along his chin before he finally came to a proper answer.::

Yes, yes sometimes I have to admit I am. But...

::He leaned forward just a bit and gestured behind Lady Festus to the rather large growth which had magically placed itself in the ground her so many centuries before and now stood as a testament to botanist everywhere...The Tree of Life. And he said, with his usual calm carefree tone.::

Doesnt that make you appreciate simple things like this giant tree, all the more?

...

Eyeing the tree and back at the man. Festus once again found her hand massaging her temples.

Alright... why do you find this damn piece of lumber is so... attractive!?

::Maximos tilted his head to the side, eyeing the tree up and down. He tried to find the exact reason why. Was it the branches, the leaves, the size, the age? Was it the way it loomed over you as if expecting a wonderful show and wouldnt let you free from its leafy gaze? No. It was all of that, and it was more. He couldnt find an exact reason why, but even more so he couldnt figure...::

Why dont you, Lady Festus?

Ira found himself in the ethereal realm, once again.
"Looks like I am in the ethereal realm once again. I am really getting to old for this."
Ira was a tall man, about nine feet tall to be exact. His long orange hair moved about in the wind, as he stared at nothing with his light blue eyes, while waiting for his opponent. Ira withdrew his sword and then continued waiting.

The rather large man was not alone in this strange place. Platforms large enough to hold four people with ease were flaoting all over the place around the gigantic Tree of Life. However, this was the first time Ryugi had ever been to this particular setting of the place. he looked at the massive tree for a moment before noticing the tall man on a platform below him.

Well now... I guess you're the one I'm supposed to fight to get out of this place again. Well, this is a nice change from a prison cell.

Since the Ryugi from the real world was currently in Angara, this Tree of Life Ryugi was apparently visiting while the young man slept in his cell. Either way, he drew Ragnarok, and watched the man, drawing in energy for his next few attacks.

Ira slashed in a horizontal motion, with his blade Sol Nova and a flamming projectile in the shape of the path of the sword's motion suddenlly appeared in front of Ira and started moving towards Ryugi at around 15 MPH.

Ryugi simply lifted Ragnarok to intercept as the flaming projectile was absorbed into the large weapon, adding more energy to him.

You'll have to do better than that.

::Now Maximos was downright confused. His arms folded across his chest, his right hand stroked his chin, and he thought.::

In your way...hmmm...

::This was quite the conundrum.::

....but when I found you, you had lost your way...

::He gestured to the tree, and the now completely missing path which they had taken to get here. So infact he pointed at the expanse of grass behind her.::

...so where are you going then? Because surely we can walk around the tree.

::With a confused smile on his face he tilted his head, and patiently awaited an answer.::
